    I’m so old; I’m going to date myself. I hunted all through my undergrad years (deer/moose) with a Tikka LSA55 in .308 Winnie. That Tikka was a tack driver. Now that I’m super old (I can afford to buy what I want) I bought myself a T1X to accompany my CZ457 Synthetic. So excited to return to the Tikka product line! Warmest thanks to the Finlanders!! I appreciate your craftsmanship. Peace Be The Journey!

      Alright Barney, which rifle do you prefer? Cz 457 synthetic or the T1X? Currently trying to decide which one to go with 👍

      @@Parfashrek I bought the T1x to remain in Production Class for ORPS/CRPS matches….I love the hunter profile stock especially when I head out to Moose Jaw, SK to hunt gophers annually. The CZ457 moving forward allows quick and easy barrel (pre fit barrels by IBI in Chilliwack) changes/upgrades when and If I’m ever good enough to shoot in Open Class. All depends on what you want out of the rig now and in the future….. Peace Be The Journey!

      @@barneygo2010 Thanks for the reply mate. Good to see your perspective and intention. Really like the easy barrel swap on the cz457 but it’s primary role will be pest control and at this stage unsure how much I’ll put through it! Love the idea of getting into PRS so the tikka appeals so I can build a training rig for cheap practice. I understand both rifles are about as accurate as each other and nice and durable so it’s a hard one for sure.
      All the best 👍

    In my experience, Tikka always makes exceptional rifles.
    I have smiled just like that, after shooting Tikkas.
    Nice work 👍

    I purchased the same rifle in 17 HMR and results were AWESOME and only 10 shots fired.LOVE this rifle and thank you to TIKKA people. P.S. I will also purchase the same rifle in .22 very soon. Cheers to all. Rod.

    Came for the review but I am already sold on this rifle however, your tip about not shooting away your aim point was brilliant! That will change my shooting experience.

    I would have went and bought a case of that same lot of of the SK Standard. Awesome. Now I did cringe when you mentioned having to have a certain license to buy 500 rounds of 22 ammo but I digress. Great video

    Thank you for sharing this information on the Tikka T1X. I had two other 22LR rifles that I WAS considering buying, the Christensen Arms Ranger 22, and Bergara B14R…there are problems with them, feeding extraction accuracy. I know how Tikka rifles shoot and the accuracy-300 WSM is deadly accurate.

    Great video. Shooting partner put a t1x action in a KRG stock with a Timney trigger at roughly 1.5lbs. He uses the low end Eley that he sorts for rim thickness. For the money it shoots just as well as my Vudoo. He pings 1x2 inch egg targets at 220 yards in mild winds no problem, at least 50%. At 160 and below he seldom misses.

      @rmyrvold 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Stock Tikka trigger with spring change is as good, if not better than the Timney. Also, saves you money.

    Superbe reportage meme si je comprend pas trop l'anglais , j'ai une tikka TX1 et j'utilise les ELEY Standard ...elles sont vraiment tres bien et super reguliere . Bonne continuation .
    Superb report even if I don't really understand English, I have a tikka TX1 and I use the ELEY Standard... they are really very good and super regular. Best wishes .

    Your videos are very well produced and almost certainly will get a lot of views. I'd drop the background music, though. It's nice but distracting.

    Could u please tell me what rings you are using. I am having a hell of a time finding 11mm dove tail medium height for 1 inch tube for a cz 457. Scope is 4-16x42 vortex. Any help much appreciated

    Is the rifle drilled and tapped for a scope mount or pic mount aside from weaver cuts?

    • @Sleepy_Alligator
      @Sleepy_Alligator 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Enjoyed the nicely produced video! The T1x has a dovetail that some rings will fit to directly. Obviously keeping the scope as close to the bore as possible is desired. My T1x (purchased in USA) came with a very nice quality, 0 MOA dovetail to Picatinny rail which I currently have installed. I purchased an Area 419 30 MOA dovetail to Picatinny rail for future use, after I shoot and get used to the rifle, scope, bipod, my setup in general. I'm using Vortex Pro scope rings with an Athlon BTR 6-24X50, MOA scope. Certainly not a high end scope, though it worked for my budget, is very well reviewed and I'm really happy with it so far. Have fun and stay safe!

    Man, I really wanted to watch and like your video. I suffered through an extremely long introduction and then had to listen to the most annoying music when I was trying to listen to you. I bailed at 2:47 as I just couldn't take it any longer. Again, I really wanted to hear your review. It was probably good, but someone really lead you astray when they created and sold you such a long intro and then must have had utter contempt for your listeners when they put that awful music in the background. It was hard to hear what you had to say. I think that this was just a case of trying too hard with the production.
