Been on the sengun bandwagon since he was drafted. Been my favourite player since then and I love watching people give him the recognition he deserves
Much less "flashy" passes this season though although there are still some reminders. Gotta be better at the free throw line too.
@@hesido 100% been really poor from the line which has sucked because he’s been so good everywhere else
If he plays like that then i am okay with that... He can improve his ft by time passes
He was an MVP at 18.
Zestiest nba player without a doubt tho😂
Meanwhile if you pause at 4:55 you’ll see all the defenders he draw. He’s a young beast.
Udoka just took the Nuggets playbook and rolled with it 😂
Nah
More like Greg Pops playbook...he was Pops assistant coach in san Antonio for yearsssss
If true..that makes him smart
@@brandonthomas4175 not the Spurs I'm sorry..when you have a player like Sengun the of course you gonna try to imitate the Nuggets system because Jokic is the system and everything revolve around him so Udoka is trying to do the same thing here..
@@elmehdinafia1237 no. Its like the Spurs. Not Denver, you might want it to be like denver to justify how annoyed you are by the rockets actually being decent with Udoka but his system is nothing like Denver's. He runs a Greg Poppavich system, where everyone is required to touch the ball on offense, including Sending, not only Sengun so therefore the whole system doesn't revolve around Sengun like Denver's is with Jokic. Udoka also ran the same system with Boston where the whole team doesn't have to rely on one singular player to initiate play ALL THE TIME like Jokic does. Sengun is used as a hub during a lot of stretches of the game, what smart coach wouldn't use a player with good court vision to make plays but he's not a point forward like Jokic, Sengun doesn't even bring the ball up like Jokic does, Fred does! Do u actually watch the games? 🤨
Alperen Şengün won the Turkish league MVP at age 18 and he only drafted #16 overall. Americans underestimate Europeans too much. Ex. Luka and jokic
Euro basketball cannot be overlooked.
+1
European players dont play defense Ex. Jokic and Luka

@@JustaKarenDiscoveredTheIntrneteuro defense is more team oriented
Amazing breakdown. I was already impressed with Sengun's potential, but this video increased my original thoughts on his potential even more.
He’s a top 5 center. No cap
Excellent breakdown brother! Also, congrats on the sponsorship 🥳
Thank you my guy, much love. 🙏🏻
Solid analysis, thank you. The fact that he is only 21, the age where most of the greats were not even yet drafted, cannot be overemphasized. He is constantly learning and improving. His soft touch and baby hooks with both hands under the rim is priceless. His ability to dribble despite his size is quite impressive. His hunger for the game is obvious. Occasional no-look passes or spins or dunks make it very enjoyable to watch him, beyond the fundamental roller role. For the rebounds he does not grab himself, he boxes the big men for his teammates to get the boards. He's a team player, not selfish at all; and is clearly eager to add more to his arsenal, whether it's a one-legged shot or three-point shot or more aggresive defending going for steals. Houston is very lucky to have him. A true gem to land at your center position as a 16th draft pick!
"bends his upper body back like it's a lawn chair and that gives him an angle so he can softly put it in" .... ⏸️
No pause
thats nasty
Şengüns biggest weapon is his soft touch and his biggest weakeness is that he isnt big enough to guard players like Joel, Jokic or Davis in the post
Wrong. Not only he's big enough, but he's strong enough too. He's 6'11" now. What you mean to say is he lacks defensive skills, but that would come with time.
Nobody in this league is big enough to guard jokic or embiid. The only players to have success are al horford and brook lopez
he’s a 4 fr
@@badmontadDray had success during their championship run
He's still undersized for his position I feel like..
I thinks he’s ARGUABLY a top 5 center
😳
Jokic, Embiid, AD, Sabonis all easily beat him. I could see an argument for 5th but no higher than that.
@@obedblack3073KAT and Gobert both better but KAT more of a forward
@@bobsager7034KAT is not better lol KAT is trash
He’s cooked Sabonis twice this year already
their van fleet, green, brooks, sengun and jabari line up is great
with couple of young prospects coming they will be a huge contender for conference finals, if both Jalen Green and Alpi stays healthy and growing.
Not sure about Jabari though
Nope
Shengun is growing up on me, he’s fun to watch!!
Not exactly a secret sauce. Sengun is getting more playing time and taking far more shots. His usage rate has gone from 21.4 to 26.9. Not surprising that his production has gone up proportionately. Genius coaching this, giving your best player the damn ball.
Silas was an absolute fraud
@@dask7428 silas was tanking scapegoat stop it.
@@darealliljableOne of the main points of tanking is letting your young players develop. Silas underutilized his best player in Sengun to let Green and KPJ chuck every shot they wanted, which apart from not developing Sengun more, also gave bad habits to Jalen Green and this season he's struggling with being too streaky and poor efficiency. Silas was a bad coach, no way around it
@phos927 I wouldn't say he was a fraud as much as I would say he was doing what he was told to do. Not saying I saw him do anything amazing coaching wise especially seeing how kpj turned out and not getting Segun Comfortable with his leading role but to just say the man who didn't have much but a bunch of knuckle heads was a completely fraud is a hard stance to take. Now if he had all kinds of proven talent then maybe I woukd be inclined to see him that way.
@@darealliljable The biggest problem was the pressure to put fans in the seats, the most common reason that franchises fail. Houston had all these young players who weren't very good. Eye candy, but not much in the way of game. At least not yet. And then there was this goofy looking Turkish kid. Guess who fans want to see play?
God damn Silas, what the hell we have been watching all this time.
Let’s gooo. Suggested this a few days ago. W vid
Love to see it!
The jester poppin off
Türkiye liginde 18 yaşında mvp oldu.O sırada Türkiye liginde yirmi civarında eski Nba oyuncusu vardı.Potansiyeline rağmen onu 2021 draftında ilk on sıradan seçmediler.
Thank you fot his video. I love Sengun and the way he plays this game. He is the reason I started following NBA after 20 years. I think he has a good career ahead of him and hope he is selected Allstar this season.
He’s going to be a legend 🫡
Rockets really got a Baby Jokic
Facts
I would say he's more like Domas than Jokic. Both guys are efficient players overall but Jokic is just on another level.
He will never reach Jokic's ceiling.. he's more like a wish version of Jokic..
@@elmehdinafia1237 a wish version of the best player in the leauge is an all star, and thats not bad at 22
Better than both now Compare the first 3 years, u understand what I mean
w video as always dude
Thank you brother
He's definitely like a mini Jokic. Not to "little brother" him it's more of a compliment but he's smaller and obviously so far not quite as accomplished as Jokic. He has all the potential in the world to be a top Center in the league I hope he gets there I like his game a lot. Rockets fans you guys got a legit cornerstone here you guys should be really happy.
I love shingoon, and I love these vids. Lets go dunkstronauts! 🚀
All hate on brooks but he is really a changer, i remember last 2 yrs the grizz were the 1st seed then ja got injured and missed 15-20 games if im not mistaken but still they managed to maintain to be on the top.
Been a Rockets fan for a long time now a little bit before the time of Steve Francis but really made me love ball was T-Mac ! 🤘🤟 🚀
The thing is no one cuts that much in the Rockets, I miss kj martine
they will get more experienced and will for sure be a great team in the near future😊
Brooks has been unstoppable this season
He does feel like jokic w better ball handling and more athletic.
Yeah just a lil smaller but quicker
Sengun will be a top 5 big man in a couple of years
5:41 is indeed nasty 🎉
I hope they don't get disillusioned by the last losses, working so hard but not making it in the end, I hope they keep their winning attitude.
Amazing analyzsis👍
Thank you!
Sengun being drafted #16 overall is actually embarrassing for the nba 😂
best sengun analysis ever, the most educational.. cudos...
Unguardable!
sengun is badass boy
I called it , I knew once they upgraded on the guard and wing spots I knew they wanted to run the offense thru Alp
Sengun ❤ is something quite new , all star soon age 20 now ,
Sengun needs help. Jock isn't helping in the big man position, so it's basically like Sengun is our only big that's active rn.
hes what i call a undersized big... exactly what i would say Bam is. Both are bigs that can playmake and create for themselves as bigs but at the same time cant really hold candle to true bigs such as Jokic and Embiid... If Senguns defense can become anything like Bams he can easily anchor this team to the playoffs for the rest of his career as long as the pieces are good next to him.
I disagree with time I believe he has the potential to be just as good as Jokic and Embiid
He is bigger than Bam
It’s like the guy is mixing soccer and basketball, he’s playing like a central attacking midfielder
Great analysis, keep it coming please
The secret to his success is his effort to make his team win. Other rookies play in the NBA to increase their statistics.
Do the kings next
THE GOON!!!!! SENGÜN!!!!!
When can I expect a Knicks breakdown video?
Not sure, have so many different topics to get to!
Nice video
superstar şenguun
Nice plays llama boy
Houston Rockets need build around Alperen Sengun over Jalen Green 💪🔥💪
helal olsuna alperen ayağına taş değmesin
Do you think you'll ever get your Twitter account back? (I enjoy your vids btw)
Probably not at this rate, no progress. Appreciate your support though.
Alperen Jokic
Wow thats a beautiful video
Dillon been a bucket his lack of touches on Memphis was the reason he was unable to display it
Can we getupdated version of this
Nice job. Good video.
I'm so happy
He is like a draymond green that can score
Perfect
sengunnn
Hey HV, quick question who peaked higher 17 KD or 09 wade and why?
Sengun plays more like a pau gasol type.
I really like that comparison, lots of similarities in not just skillset, but tendencies as an attacker.
I can see Domantas Sabonis in him
This is crazy, people doesn't realize how good the 5's in this era. This kid guard prime Jokic to 7/17 last time they met. And i believe prime Jokic could demolished all the great C before him, well maybe except Kareem. Jokic could guard prime Wilt to a triple-single every game😅
You mean the one legged jumper that dirk done first 😂. That’s dirk’s signature move. 🤦🏽♂️
call me a liar but i knew sengun could cook
🎉
every hooper channel has posted this same video
Alpy the happy and Jalen the gay are perfect duo for the Rockets😍😍
Baby Jokic 😃
Calling dillon brooks the second coming of steph curry is hilarious im crying
He might just be better
Rockets' biggest mistake was to hold Green and let go Kenyon Martin Jr. He was the perfect match. You can see the awkward cuts and positioning. He knew when to cut in and where. Green is useless in those positions.
Oh right Martin and Al have connections. Sengun always find him in the cut.
build around sengun forget green
Didn’t dirk also do a one leg jumper?
Nah,Dirk DID that. Shangun "also" does it.
dirk was doing one leg fadeaway jumper.. alpi doesnt jump for his shot.. its a flemengo shot:D
The joking vibes are off the chart
