In the early 90's Steve Had performed at a favorite spot of some friends and I called the Railway Club in Vancouver BC. We always made sure we were the first ones to the club so to be able to sit up front. Half way thru the set Steve did something I had never seen him do before which was to ask for requests. My friends were married to each just seven months prior to the gig and she was a couple of weeks away from having their first child. Upon his request I shot my hand up and explained to Steve this particular song you hear on this channel was their "first" song at their wedding and could they hear it live? Steve came over to our table, looked up to the audience and asked to be forgiven for a few minutes while he came over to sing this very difficult (solo) song to my friends. They were totally blown away. I will never forget this gracious act. I think of him as the gentleman of Folk Music
A man who would do that kind act would sing this song that way. One of a kind, and I wish I had a sweetheart to send this song to. It really sends the love.
I know him since i was 18 , now i am 58 and i still love him and listen his songs almost everyday by you tube , his songs go right into my heard and i wish to hear him live , someday , hopefully
