I was just looking at You Tube randomly today when I saw Joe's performance with an impression of Dame Shirley Bassey & Tom Jones. I listened to it a few minutes later and whilst scrolling down I saw the comments and RIP's for him. I had to check if this was correct first , I could not believe it yet another so talented man taken far too soon. I met him many years ago when he opened a fete at a local Hospital and he was lovely to everyone. He fought hard to survive his illness as so many of my dear friends did. This has made me so sad today-I must have been in the garden and missed the news and some days I don't get the papers so it was a total shock ' May the choir of angels come to greet him and take him to paradise, may their love enfold him in their glory and surround him in eternal love' RIP dear Talented Joe Robert xx

Saw him at Margate a few year back , he wasn't well that night but boy what a performance , he's warmth and love shone out , the feeling he puts in every word he sings is moving , I had just lost my mum a few weeks before , when he sang in my mother's eyes just did it for me , thank god for my mum Joe and tissues , Rob x

I had forgotten how talented Joe was and how handsome as well! We used to watch him on the telly all the time . What a pair of lungs and very well observed impressions, he used to make a Saturday evenings entertainment . Brilliant !

He gave it his all every time.
At the Liverpool Theatre we were sitting in t the Heavens.
He left the stage and next thing he was walking through the doors right in front of us..He loved his fans, I think, as much as we loved him.
Moved to Australia so not seen him for a good 15 years.
Very sad to here of his passing.

I love joe i have seen him in concert many times a beautiful singer and person my mother who has now passed 8yrs ago adored joe i would take her to see him and her life was made the night he came down in the audience and kissed her joe is a true gent i had in my mothers eyes played at her funeral rip mum until we meet again sweet lady xxx

This was played at my dad's funeral - 16yrs past there in September. Carried his coffin through a guard of honour as this was playing I guess this song playing helped me carry him into the crematorium #myhero&thewindbeneathmywings

I remember the first time he was on tv. What a wonderful voice. The ballad singer’s ballad singer indeed. He became so Ill. it was tragic to lose such a great talent and as much as I love most of our stars he towered over them. Yes the best male we ever had

I lost my mum.in March 2018 and we were so lucky to see him a few times many years ago.my mum loved him she always said what a voice.. every time I hear him I think of mum and how her face would light up. Thanks for giving me those memories xx
