Given enough time it will all be beautiful rolling hills. Thanks for showing us a place most of us will never see in real life.

I’m a lawn care technician in Northern Va and the reason it grows in some areas and not others is that moss likes slightly acidic, moist soil. Anyway, that’s cool!!

Beautiful videos. Been enjoying your videos from Iceland. Never realized that Iceland is so mountainous and hilly. I think you could spend a whole year there and not uncover all of its beauty and uniqueness. Keep them coming I watch every movie as I am a nature lover myself. Your videos let me see places and things I always wanted to see but know I'll never be able to. Thanks for opening up a window and showing us a glimpse of your travels and the nature you discover. Keep up the good work and stay safe

This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen, this place is beautiful. Love your descriptions. I felt the same way when I visited the English Moors in Devon I believe. They had miniature ponies and sheep walking free, no fences whatsoever. I felt like I was in some kind of dream world. Thank you.

I just had to come back and watch this again on my 20" monitor. My work machine is a tablet. When the sun strikes the lava at just the right angle, it reminds me of vanilla icing. Thanks, Chris.

Moss grows in humidity and since there's definitely a water source in the distance and lava rock is porous maybe it retains moisture and that's why the moss grows on it

Any idea how high the sea levels were during this time? I believe that Earth's production of lava expulsion events are tied to the rise in sea levels; it is part of the Earth System that produces ground floor, so it stands to reason that it is "land building" for some purpose. What do you think?
