I'm moving away from ADHD-specific content for the foreseeable future. However, many of my future topics (including this) can always be related to the matter in some way.

I get where you are coming from and appreciate the message and honesty. I'm glad that you are growing and expanding. This is a new stage of your life and that comes with relocating organising and making space for new things. I think that this is exciting! I came here for your Adhd vids but I am staying because of the heart, care, time, energy and enthusiasm you put into it. So if you're now you want to talk more about other topics and you're still doing it with all the above, I'm here to listen you rant away! Take care! Speak soon! Hugs!

    Mental Wellness Mastery. Boom. Done.
    Wait… Wellness Mastery. Boom done.
Wellness Mastery might be better because then you can do mental and physical wellness videos. Let’s face it, yous gots ADHD and you know dang well that you’re gonna end up wanting to do physical wellness videos at some point. :)
Whats nice about doing mental (or mental and physical) wellness videos is that you can pepper in ADHD videos whenever an ADHD video idea hits you… which it will.
Another nice thing about this “change” is that pretty much any wellness topic can be beneficial to those with ADHD.
Transitioning from an ADHD channel to a mental wellness channel isn’t like changing from ADHD channel to a Ford Pinto repair channel.
Current subscribers should stick around because, like I said earlier, any wellness topic will be beneficial to ADHDers.
    Am I still talking?

I so much connect with what you're saying. I started my channel last year, uploaded a bunch of videos on personality types and I found myself not wanting to do it anymore. So I'm preparing a massive turn for my channel. I think we, ADD (and ADHD) are highly creative, and niching down our channels to something so particular can only work for a period of time because we want to explore more. And I'm learning that that's totally fine as well :)
Congrats on your decisions, sounds great!

Hey man, first time commenting, and just wanted to say thanks for all your great content so far, and to be honest, I'm glad you're moving into a new space for your own sake. I actually think there is a limit to the amount of content that TH-camrs can make on specialist subjects like this, and it's very wise to diversify, so you aren't rehashing topics for the sake of it, or flogging a dead horse.
I think it detrimentally waters down channels and can make them less useful to keep grinding on past the point where passion has faded. It's also a bit like if you had a library that only had the best books on a specific subject you were interested in, versus a library which had every single book on the subject. I know which would be most helpful, given that nobody has the time to read (or in this case watch) everything, you value the highest quality information with the most passion behind it.
I don't think this is a disappointing move because your back catalog of content is very impressive, and very helpful, and we can always dive into that for some great advice.
I'm glad you're doing so well in your life, and it's good to hear you've got a new plan. I was definitely one of those people a bit worried about how you were doing, as I got into your channel and found your honesty and groundedness very refreshing, you're not putting on a character, and I think that makes your stuff more relatable, so it's really great to hear you've got this new path, and that the break was for good reasons as opposed to bad reasons.
Rather than saying "Keep it up!" I'll say that I hope you continue to live by your own compass and do what works for you, and only make things you feel passionate about, because viewers like us benefit when voices of creators are genuine.

This is my favourite video of yours so far, actually. Totally understand where you're coming from.
6 years ago, I had a channel about Weight Loss Surgery and some lovely followers. But after 2 years, it wasn't a particularly defining aspect of my life. And so I decided to make all the videos private. It's now just a little personal archive documenting a chapter of my life.
I had a video chat session with yourself a while back - and since then I got my shit together, got married and went back to work.
Remember kids, It's just low dopamine. There's way more to us than that.
Looking forward to seeing what you do next. X

I just found you last night and I feel like you speak my inner thoughts aloud. I actually started crying during one of your videos about staying single because I’ve felt and said the exact same things since I was a teenager. Minimalism and simplifying my life with processes helped a lot.

My fav video from you was the one you did about feeling that it’s better for you to stay single rather than in a relationship, id love to see more from you about that type of stuff and other general social life type stuff. That will obv have some connection to adhd stuff because you would talk about your experience but that adhd connection doesnt have to be explicit, I would probably relate to your perspective without needing it to be just within an adhd context.

I think this is the perfect evolution. You have succeeded in managing your ADHD. Your focus should indeed be sharing your journey. Regurgitating the same old thing is of no service to you…or your audience. For those of us that have subscribed we did so as you were the draw not just ADHD. I feel like you have graduated and now your story is changing. It may not be for everyone but I think you are definitely an inspiration for many. Bon Voyage and safe travels. I was just diagnosed with inattentive ADHD this past Monday. Your content has helped me learn more about it, and I thank you for that. I am 37, and just got diagnosed. I was just diagnosed with Autism about a year and a half ago. I wish I knew that I had these when I was younger. Maybe I would've been able to finish high school if I had. I'm cool with whatever content that you need to put out. There is a lot of mental health things to cover, that ADHD can accompany. I have severe social anxiety. If you think of an ADHD topic to talk about, and choose to make a video on it, cool. If not, that's cool too. You do what you need to do for your own happiness dude.

Congrats on moving out! I understand the whole “losing passion/interest” thing. I started Twitch streaming over a year ago and I put so much effort into growing my stream and I loved it. After a year now, I’ve been losing interest in it and was thinking about quitting now. I’m grateful for all the supporters and memories I made, but it’s just not a true passion of mine. It’s not something I care to grow into a long term career or put all my time into (as opposed to my life long passion of graphic design).
Whatever you want to do, we will support you! Don’t force yourself to do something you don’t wanna do, especially if it’s supposed to be something you do for fun or cus you enjoy it.

i only just found your channel recently.. at 41 i only just learned that i have adhd - you can imagine, as someone also diagnosed as an adult, its bittersweet finding a diagnosis that explains everything yet learning that you've been working so hard your whole life just to break even when it could have been easier. ive binged your content and it has really helped.
i will miss the adhd content, however it gives me some hope that you are in a place where you're so unaffected that you don't even relate to it anymore. at the moment it is kind of overwhelming for me, this has been my normal for my whole life. lol it has been a generational normal - my mother only just got diagnosed at 59 and now my kids are being seen with a view to diagnosis - i just assumed i was a fuck up this entire time and that i failed my kids. someone with a lot of potential who has gotten to the point where ill never realise it, someone doomed to follow her mothers fate, someone whose natural age related mental decline has increasingly affected her ability to regulate the symptoms of her adhd and emotional regulation. someone whose shitty parenting has raised three wonderful beautiful, emotional, impulsive, distracted daydreamers. how do you recognise there is a problem when everyone close to you is exactly like you? how do you refocus your kids on their chores or their homework when you know that their procrastination and inattentiveness comes from you?
with my shiny new diagnosis i hope to get my life under control.. i already have a great job but i hold on by a thread just trying to manage myself. i have plans for my future, if i could only stop dismissing them whenever something more fun gets in the way. but i came here to your channel looking for help understanding adhd and i got that. it actually gives me a lot of hope that one day i too could be in a place where i am also unaffected by it and in turn, my kids can have the same chance as everyone else to lead normal lives

I've often thought to myself, "the content in all these ADHD channels often feel like they would be a big help towards those WITHOUT ADHD as well..." And from time to time i would share some of these vids to encourage non-ADHD friends. Agreed that sometimes putting a label on good content (like "ADHD-specific") might hamper them reaching all those who could benefit.
Just 1 suggestion though, please figure out a way to still include "ADHD" somewhere in your channel name or video descriptions, so that ADHD peeps would still be able to "stumble" upon your older vids, or be helped by your newer wellness content as well!

We will be supportive because it doesn’t matter what topic you make, we are interested in the way you formulate your ideas and your content is always valuable. Also content about mental well-being from the perspective of someone with adhd is very important for us. A lot of the content some creators make about mental well-being sometimes doesn’t feel relatable because it’s from a neurotypical perspective and measure of mental well-being and their advice feels distant. Whatever concern you make I am sure most of us subscribers will still enjoy, so do you Stuart and always follow your dopamine!

You’re so authentic and I like that. I commented a while back that because of you my son is getting the help he needs. (I deleted the comment because I’m weird and sometimes so that.) I’m so grateful and I know you will do well at making any content you’re passionate about!!

the whisper of your soul is louder, most ppl cant even hear it while their soul's screaming. 'NOW' is the only time, live it. Fall is a changing
season, you catch it up beautifully my frd, and honestly, whoever don't make a change drastically since 2020 is falling, indeed.

Thank you on post ADHD life content, I would not consider you have pretty much given up on ADHD content I think what you're trying to do is show ADHD'ers that it is okay to live a normal life and you are the living proof of that so I think your perspective about this should shift and we are on board to seeing that side. Plus it proves how ADHD can totally make you give up on something that you initially started and were so hyperfocused on.

Good to see you again Stuart 😁
One thing I’m starting to understand about my ADHD is that I don’t fit into predictive algorithms, at some point my focus will shift to something else that could not have been predicted by anybody else including me.
I think this is the perfect evolution of your channel, your content. I’m looking forward to seeing what rabbit holes you might go down over the next weeks and months going forward.

Everyone with ADHD can sympathize with the frequent changing focus and losing interest. :) You've said what you needed to say about ADHD and there is no shortage of ADHD content out there anyway, and your previous ADHD videos are still just as relevant to anyone who needs them. Honestly, I'm happy you have moved on and I look forward to seeing the new content you create. Thanks for everything you have created so far!

I realised that I have ADHD (predominantly inattentive type) about a week ago (I'm 20). Watched a number of your videos since then and they have helped me in numerous ways.. so, wanted to say Thank You.
Sad that the timings of my realisation and you announcing this pause in video making had to match in this manner.

Omgosh. So sad. I actually just discovered your content. I'm seeing a psychiatrist next week for diagnoses of ADHD and Autism potentially. Your videos have already helped tons (though I still need a diagnoses). I think its important to follow your heart and I'm sure all your followers will keep watching you. Also, I kinda like your accent, so it might be cool for me to watch your other content too. All the best!!!
