Hi Justin and Rachel. Many years ago, before the pier was rebuilt, I used to sit on the rocks shoreside in the water to watch sail away, we made a day out of it food, sun and the water. Back in the day, guys used to sit in the channel during sail away on their surfboards and they would actually surf on ship's wakes. I guess they don't do that any longer, too dangerous. You sure do put in a lot of mileage to ship spot !!
