Thank you so much for presenting this time lapse sequence of Pot Miami. Wow!!! That is so Miami and the way the boats/yachts go by with the big cruise ships there. The traffic and the people walking in this area is so cool. The cruise industry is almost back to full ways down there. Yeah, there are several other ports as well. Again, thank you for this and yes you made me laugh at how life is there...
Keep in mind, visual emissions can often be mostly caused by condensation (water vapor) depending on atmospheric conditions. Virgin's Scarlet Lady is actually the first carbon neutral cruise ship. www.virginvoyages.com/ahoy/stories/cruise-ship-carbon-offsets
Cruise ships should be nuclear, considering the tons of fuel they burn per day. They could even go faster bc of more power. And to counter the radiation-phobia: On an aircraft-carrier live 6.000 crew - and they stay much longer aboard than any cruise-tourist and non of them dies of radiation overdose. It would be a great relieve for the atmosphere. And yes, i do think that nuclear waste is a tiny problem right now compared to carbon-emissions.
Try convincing 7 billion people my dude, its really not as easy as you think to implement nuclear power on a ship for civillian use, as we can see with the MS Savannah. The amount of cost you need to build and maintain an almost 1000 foot nuclear powered cruise ship is crazy.

I agree, The US carrier fleet is proof positive that large ships can be safely fueled by nuclear power. Anyone afraid to board can vaca somewhere else.
Why is there water moving alongside the ships ? are they idling with the props spinning ? Also if this isn't a one perfect example of the amount of air pollution being generated, I don't know what this is. I find it baffling shore power hasn't been generalized already
Oof with the smoke. We built small nuclear reactors for naval vessels at a furious pace... sure would be nice to use the same technology for civilian purposes.
Blue smoke. Steam? Nope, It’s high sulfur marine diesel fuel exhaust. It’s their generators that power the ship. If it was steam it would dissipate as soon as it left the stack.
@@navvet4518 Ok I'm wrong and you're right. But IMO mandated it to be LOW sulphur since Jan 2020. So what might appear to be "A LOT" of pollution should theoretically be of low sulphur content.
Love the time lapse video when the cruise ships come in and all the lights are on the ships in the dark and when they head out on their trips 🚢👍
Simply amazing. I love the Port of Miami.
These cruises parallel park better than me
If I could parallel park a giant ship like that nobody would be able to tell me shit about anything lol
@Lucas same here! 🙋🏻♀️😄
I am always in awe of how they flip those ships around so fast. Like who teaches you to parallel park a damn cruise ship?

Yes pot Miami is epic!!!1!1!1!
@@Deltaexe190 Yes, thank you.
I'm totally appalled by the amount of smoke emissions these ships give-especially the Virgin-being brand new.
Quite shocking that these ships don’t run off windmills and solar panels by now. It’s just madness

@@BLCStreams condensation (water vapor) depending on atmospheric conditions. clears out disappears many times faster than this....smoke from engines..
@@BLCStreams thats not condensation! Thats POLLUTION
I wonder why the ships don’t get shore power, is probably cleaner than the engines you run
Thank you for these videos. They are beautifully incredible !
WOW what a perfect 3-point turn Scarlett Lady. You passed your DMV test...lol
Amazing how they park these ships
Love this - hilarious but beautiful at the same time.
Many thanks for sharing this video amazing!!!!! Love it
Insane amount of smoke from the vessels ... Can be that nice to live around these
What happened to Port Miami 📷 cameras? Have hard time ⏲️ sleeping and enjoyed watching 👀 the cruise 🛳 ships 🚢 come in. Especially the Scarlett Lady.
Wow this was super cool!
That's pretty awesome 👌
This is awesome stuff!
I didn’t realize the amount of Fisher Island ferry’s there were. 3 or 4 running all day?
i love the time lapse,do more
Rather hypnotic with the music!
What happened to the Port of Miami livestream? I miss the ships coming and going😌♥️
Why does all the ships head north for?
Tugboats are becoming obsolete. Great video and thank you. Like 🙂
it seems that, as they get slower, the Cruis-Ships are a little nervous on the helm ... nice video.
Haha, that was pretty funny to see them do a 360* and teh other a 3-point turn. Amazing port.
I love Royal Caribbean wonder of the seas
I need more of this....something about this...
Was anybody else screaming at scarlet lady saying turn your engine off? 😅
Amazing
My girlfriend was on board in virgin voyage at 8july2022 😪miss her so much 🥰
That's a lot of exhaust gases.
I went on the symphony of the seas a week after this
Its the music for me
Wonder why these ships can keep their bunker fuel engines running. Thought IMO 2020 low sulphuric emissions was in effect?
Has the EPA seen this footage!!!!
Hell dont they have scrubbers or use light fuel in port , Hell of a lot of smock ???

I didn’t realize that cruise ships gave so many fumes and smoke.
0:47 Ithought the Virgin ship was gonna hit the corner of the dock lol.
i was on freedom of the seas!
It shows how much those cruise ship pollute the air
Great advert for what pollutants those cruise ships are pumping into the atmosphere.

A lot of what you see from the stacks is steam not smoke. (sarcasm! LOL)
Ha ha ha, suuuuurrrrreeeee! steam eh? one rule for them and another for us!
@@robinlindsayhind LOL. What? You don't believe the company line? I'm surprise it took this long for anybody to say something.
Nope. That is marine diesel fuel smoke. Steam is white, diesel is blue.
@@navvet4518 Yes I know. I was being sarcastic. It doesn't translate very well on text.

The fish probably freakout at the spaceship looking catwalk those Cruse liners are doing 😂
every drop of all waste is flushed dumped to them

The cruise ships should really start using landpower when they are in port.
The virgin actually comes from The Bahamas
Looks like a few cruise vessels burning dirty fuel.
The "pollution" is steam. If it was smoke it'd be a dark colour.

i will mamma conquest july 22
Look at all that filthy smoke poring out of those ships! Must be a health hazard to work or live near a port. What do you think?
Your cars produce more exhaust than any of these ships combined, so its alot more dangerous to Live in heavily urban areas
These ships smell like cheese
🤣
Talk about pollution!!!
