    Thank you for the video. I had the exact same problem of the new style piston's reed valve being a different orientation than the new style one. I reassembled it exactly as it was taken apart and couldnt for the life of me figure out what the problem was. Thank you so much!!

    Thank you for that information video! I did not know that there is a new style of piston, but this model, but I have a question for you? is it worth restoring it? Isn't it better to buy a new compressor, since the old one still has armatures under fatigue and wear?!

      I would say that would be a personal choice. Much like buying a new car or repairing one that has many miles on it. Some will say, run it till it dies, others, if you can afford it get a new one. In my case, I spent less than $100 to keep it running verses $400+ for a new one.

    Did you use silicone oil or regular oil?

    • @OffRoadEndeavor
      @OffRoadEndeavor  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a no oil compressor, so no oil was needed.

      @@OffRoadEndeavor you rubbed oil on the seal around the piston.

      @@5thgen1 Oh sorry that. It was from the can of chain lubricant that I sprayed in the cylinder wall.

      I am unsure. Sorry I didn't take a measurement when I took it apart. You may be able to try VIAIR's customer service for help.

      Okay no problem.. i bought eveything for my compressor and still has lower pressure worse with the check velve on and water trap. Im now forced to buy a new compressor 😢

      Can you take a video of how the pressure flow should be from your compressor when you put your thumb on the end tip of the hose without the check valve and with the check velve and water trap?

    Where can I buy the parts?

      The most common internet search comes up with these two companies: newmaticsinc.com and hornblasters.com. You can search the Viair site to find the user manuals and tech specs for your compressor, then start searching the internet by part numbers. Good hunting.

    where can i find the kit?

      It took me a bit of time searching the Internet. I found the part numbers then searched the Internet by part numbers to find the best price. A few sites that have stuff, and where to find part numbers, were Viair, Horn Blasters, Newmatics Inc., and Bag Riders. Just be sure to check the model number of your unit. Best of luck to you.
