it would make a very short and uninteresting movie. They won’t need Maverick too although I would love to see Maverick dominating Su-57s in close range, the F-35 is a much better dogfighter than most people give it credit for
Why didn’t they make the F-35a the same as the c minus the folding wing mechanism, tail hook and beefier gear. I know the A can pull 9+ gs and the C is limited to 7.5 but I think that is only so they don’t over stress the folding wing mechanism. Seems the C has a higher roll rate and obviously it holds a good amount more gas over the A model.
It does have larger wings iirc so that affects roll rate. Also these 5th gen demos never show the full capabilities of the aircraft especially the f22 national security and blah blah blah

The C variant is definitely the best-looking of the three. The extended wings lend it a distinct organic appearance, like some kind of demon bat
I saw the USAF F-35 demo at Thunder Over Michigan last summer and in my opinion, the F-35 demo routine is as cool, if not cooler than the F-22's.
I always say if the F22 demo and the Viper demo had a kid it would be the F-35 demo
