It is written: Psalm 92: 1 "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound."
So beautifully played! This brought tears to my eyes. I played this at my high school's celebration of them aquiring a Steinway Grand Piano, I was 16 a the time, that was 64 years ago.
I love this young pianists posture. She remains quite still, no histrionic body language. I was taught to remain still, and Horowitz and Rubinstein were of this ‘old school’ way of playing. If the pianist remains still, one is not distracted from the music. And her playing is lovely. Thank you.
@@vasylynahrynevych Forty years ago, on Christmas Eve, while waiting for midnight watching the lights of the tree, I received the best gift of my life. music was heard on the piano, it was the same piece from this video. That day I stopped listening to children's music to start a journey through classical music that has not ended. That's why this piece is very special to me. Over time, I also managed to play it on the piano and study at a conservatory. Thanks for this video.
Wonderful playing! Great balance and expressivity. Almost romantic playing, which some might criticize but I think Bach himself would love excellent musicians interpreting his work creatively. At the same time you were still faithful to the score/intent of the piece. Loved the displacement you used at times. Well done, keep it up!
As per other comments, there is some touching simplicity in this interpretation, and that can not be totally wrong. To be more upfront, this is a well rounded interpretation, the pace is right and steady, which brings some peace of mind and that might have summoned the spirit of Bach upon us? Is that a trend started by f.ex. Víkingur Ólafsson?
Not bad at all ! Of course our ears are accustomed to Dinu Lipatti's miracle recording that was so intimate, so full of religious feeling. I have discovered Kempff's own transcription recently. Interesting to listen too, also (played by himself)
I didnt say not bad, but not bad at all ;-) (this is the direct translation from French and "pas mal du tout" is rather a compliment) But listen to Lipatti and you will feel the difference. Thanks to comment my comment :-)

I love this piece ❤ absolutely talented pianist and of course a magical performance ✨

I first heard such simplicity from Dinu Lipatti. He does it very skillfully

This is better as "not bad". She is one of the bests, and she knows what she is doing. Thanks for Dinu Lipatti.

Mens sana in corpore sano !
Too much use of the pedal….
You play definitely better😂 😂😂
But seriously, where exactly is there too much pedal (timecode)?
First thought in my head was Amadeus “Mozart, there are too many…notes. Yes too many notes”
@@jrockner957 Mozart is perfection.
My coment referrref to the interpretation.
such a beautiful melody enough to compare with Dinu Lipatti's performance...
