Making a Leather Holster. My first one. Springfield XD 40

Let's make some mistakes and learn from them. Springfield XD 40 leather holster build. Modified a pattern I found on google. Wet forming is at the end of the video. Raw vegtan, dyed with english bridal, then oiled.

Check out Weaver Leathercrafts channel. Chuck has so many helpful videos for begginers. I started out with a cheap Amazon leather tool kit. Tandy leather for the leather itself. Don't throw your money away buying leather from Amazon. The price is bad and you can't feel or even realy see what you are buying.

Have yet to put it on. Mostly, I just wanted to see if I could make one. I have a different piece I carry.
Strange, I never even thought about putting it on. Lol! It just went up on the shelf with all the other projects I've made.
I'll have to check it out in the morning.
