I used a "blue gun" and bought a cheap food saver vacuum from Walmart. Plastic gun in wet holster and vacuum seal it. I let it sit for over a day. Only part I didn't care for at first but grew to actually like is the vacuum bags have a texture to them which translated to the leather. But wearing it now I like how the texture grips my pants and my undershirt to keep it where it belongs.
That was pretty good. Why did you add the welt? Usually a welt is added to a knife sheath to protect the threads from the blade. I don't think that is needed on a holster.
Absolutely sensational. Awesome work my friend. You apparently have all the tools required I see. I made one back in 81, originally a shoulder holster, which later I cut it down into this one, for a fast draw sorta. However, I used rivets instead of stitching. I like yours better. Great work. I'm now looking to make another; its why I found your video. I would however, like to ask (if you don't mind) about a few items,,, 1-What is the name of the punch tool that made the stitch holes? 2- The precise name of the edge trimmer tool? 3- Was that 2.0mm size leather you used? 4- And/or, what size would you say is best for this project? 5- What type glue was that? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thx. John
Hello, I have a question about the leather from which you sew the holster. My question is, what is the thickness of the leather from which you sew the holster.
I'm looking for a simple way to make my own holster for my 357 Python. This video is too complex, I mean not that hard. But I want less complex video, just cut and stitch in an hour without electronic tools. Great video btw.
Which leather tool are you using, and why? What type / size thread? Filmed mechanical motions are don't give enough information to fully understand the process. Better luck next time.
Just ran across this video. Nice job on that!

Also, do you still have the mold/pattern for this revolver?
???
I had the same questions. It strange, normally a craftsman is eager to share details on his build ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@ajm2872 I like that face you created with symbols, lol.. kool
Hola, muy buen trabajo, vendes tus moldes??

Shut up
I'd say with a BLACK POWDER PISTOL you would want to have that strap go OVER the HAMMER AS A SAFETY THING
