Ellis, thank you for your response ! I appreciate it ! You are the only TH-camr in turkey that I feel as though does traveling in turkey justice. You give us a real perspective as to what it’s like historically and culturally/ no fluff/ great content/ an excellent road map for future travels. We have a lot of loose ends to take care of before spring 2025 and will hopefully be able to emulate your experience’s upon arrival. Thank you again for all of your hard work !!!!!! K Okla
Hi, ellis how are you. Very lovely and energetic lady for me. S.. again show very wounderful place!! Already god made this land a very beautiful... and the maintenance is also matter. Take care dear ❤ from India.
What? You went to Birgi but didn't visit Çakıroğlu Mansion, a great historic house museum, or Aydınoğlu Mehmet Bey Mosque with beautiful tiles and woodwork inside? I gather you were in a rush because Timo needed a walk, but those two alone are worthy of a return visit.
Oh. I did not know about the house museum. I will write it down If I ever go back I will check it out. Mosques and churches I usually do not visit, sorry
@@AtHomeInTurkey I'm irreligious and I don't like preachers, sermons, and whatnot. Not at all. However, I can't find a good excuse to exclude myself from whatever artistic expressions these buildings have to offer. To me, visiting a mosque or a church is no different from visiting an ancient temple with marble columns. After all they are all precious parts of my cultural heritage - and of all humanity as far as I'm concerned. Proudly. Of course, I can't know your motivation behind avoiding churches and mosques, but that's my take on it. Nevertheless, this is a deeply personal matter, and you are very welcome to not reply to this comment if you so choose.
@@Balaban_Reis Thanks for your reaction, i understand your point of view. I used to be the same. Now I just stay away from the current religions. And yes it's a maybe strange choice, but one that works for me.
Totally awestruck with this village Ellis it’s like a step back in time ❤
It is. And I hope to find many more.
Enjoyed the walk around Birgi - also read the UNESCO article on the town. Thank you for sharing from Australia.
I bet you know more about these places then most.
@@AtHomeInTurkey it’s because you visit - that I get to see and learn and then read up on the places. Thank you - most interesting.
Beautiful village with nice houses, simple quiet life. I love it. Yes, I should remember it, Birgi ❤ Thanks for the tour 😊
You are so welcome, glad you liked it. It was special for sure.

Thank you. A comment is always very welcome. I love the idea of making videos for real people and not numbers in the statistics of TH-cam.

So few people! Where are they all?? Slightly eerie!
True but don't forget. It's out of season and Turkish people all ready class this weather as cold. And I like to be early to avoid people.
