Love it and LOVE IT even more because someone else is freezing beside ME LOL. You are the first semi-auto. It will be interesting to see if others decide to take this one with a semi-auto.
Definitely a challenge those small center targets. I’ll definitely try it again! The tm22 shoots fairly well but it’s getting dirty now and the weather was making it run a bit slow. This is fun keep em coming
Great effort under challenging conditions. Fun to see the 'rig + ammo' results in this weather with an accomplished shooter. I hope to get out myself in the next few days for some cold weather shooting. Thanks for the video.
An inspiration for us cold climate shooters. I thought the scoring was a little odd with this challenge and I even saw a question whether it was okay to shoot "through" the large numbers.
@BROTUNED I think in very cold weather, keeping the temp in the barrel, which affects the humidity (cold bore),has a negative effect on accuracy. That is probably why when, with more rounds shot, a higher, more consistent temperature in the barrel gives better accuracy .
Being in very south Texas i don't think too much about how cold effects ammo, but I know heat does, so it makes sense that you wouldn't be shooting at normal levels. I'll be attempting this challenge today, also in the semi-auto category!
The second rifle looks like a good shooter, but it’s too cold for standard ammo. None of it will group. When it’s cold you need to use Biathlon ammo, designed for cold weather. The other stuff is for summer. I have never seen a Lithgow. Now I have to go see how much one of those cost. Probably more than I can spend.
Tough weather conditions to shoot in, I think you managed it as well as you could. 8 mph winds, -5.7C temp, seems SK Standard Plus is not liking the cold. Tough also with the ice under the bipod, but I think your wife would kill you if you put spikes on the bipod, so maybe a piece of (full-length) plywood with artificial turf stapled to it to lay on and keep indoors to help in the future winter shoots. Were you aiming at the numbers for each challenge? Just curious where you were holding, given the wind, and where the shots were landing. If you sight in for given conditions, try to do holds (if your reticle is suitable) and tell us when and what you are holding instead of adjusting the turrets during the shooting event (after completing your sighting adjustments). Just a thought. Of course, each has their own ways of shooting, so do what works for you! Thanks for the new video in the new year!
I was basically holding center mass on each balloon but if I see a trend like hitting a bit right every time I would hold a bit left every shot. As far as wind goes I adjusted for that on the sighter target then all I had to worry about is fluctuations in The wind and hold accordingly. Cheers 🍻
@ hi Ryan, I thought as much, but seeing other comments, I thought I would mention something where you could comment as you are shooting, commenting that you are holding by x amount for the given issue or reason. Great work, keep it going!

That was fun. I shoot in the cold too so was fun to watch you struggle with the fingers. Thanks

Thanks for the video.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I need to make another video with some colder weather shooting
I don't think I've seen Standard Plus shoot that badly before. You buy it from Wish? :-)
lol
Good going! That’s a challenging target.👍🏽
Thanks, yeah they were tough
You didn't miss 14 as you hit 9, and it was no longer there! So 14 was a smack 👏
Nice shooting in the cold Ryan 🥶 👌
lol that’s true ha ha
Happy new year to you and your loved ones 🎉🎄😘💕👍
Same to you and yours thanks

I was cold just watching.🥶
Tough challenge, snow building up as well.
The weather makes it hard. Am I the only one screaming at the screen when you picked the rifles up by the scope turret?
Turrets those are carry handles lol
@@BROTUNED That's funny. Sarge always called them "a chargeable offense".
Difficult target. Excellent shooting with budget ammo really well done.
The sad thing was they all shoot better after the challenge

nice video and nice guns
Thanks

What rifle are you using g
@BROTUNED ole trusty 597 and some Pistol Match!

Yeah, I think I just got that one dialed in a bit better.
was that a suppressor on that semi rifle and if so i didnt think yall could have stuff like that in canada
No it’s just a sure fire warden. I just put it on it one day for fun and the groups shrunk so it stayed on
Wrong ammo for the weather conditions.
Brrrr 🥶
