A thousand "thank you"s for this video. I've been so frustrated by my Samsung smart TV, it's about 6 years old and I couldn't find any new apps via their search function. They do have plenty of what they categorize as MOST POPULAR which I either have never heard of or simply don't care about. I'm definitely going to be buying a Roku, hopefully through a link you've provided. Also, I'm a new subscriber as of today, looking forward to watching many more of your videos! not good enough for samsung, I should not have to buy another piece of technology to stream apps. I wont buy another samsung tv because of this issue. I have friends who have unknown brands of tv where the operating system is google. I will ensure my next tv will be google compatible. I will not recommend samsung tv. due to this problem. samsung tvs are at the high end price already. they need to knock their prices right down on their tvs if there not compatible. NOT HAPPY SAMSUNG you lost a regular client.
The issue is that Samsung has a wide range of platforms as they have multiple operating systems. Google would rather invest money on Tyzen based TVs since that's the main platform Samsung has built up. If you can't download it, it's simply because Google doesn't see your platform as valuable. The whole "They want it on every platform" isn't true as most TVs bought pre-2016 weren't bought for streaming like this and weren't equipped with remotes with voice and pointer controls. You just happened to have not done research when buying a product. Samsung doesn't design the app and Google doesn't see your platform as viable for their app. Google's Android TVs were however geared for that. Welcome to the world of streaming where everything is a nightmare of proprietary services. Once again, you're just a consumer. I'm sure Samsung would love to have every app possible on their TVs as it doesn't benefit them not to.
I was a bit uninformed when I started streaming, so naturally I expected to get everything with my Samsung Q6fn. I quickly learned that wasn't the case, and I got a Roku Ultra which I love. The main thing that I notice is the difference between the way many of the apps work on each device. It really wasn't a huge problem, and if I keep my tv long enough that they stop updating it, well the cost of a Roku is a LOT less than buying a new tv.
Do you mind if I ask you how much that cost you and I saw on that video that Apple TV come up do you have to pay for Apple TV and or any other apps that you haven't got on your Samsung TV?
@@cameronsmith4148 The Roku Ultra cost about $100.00. Pretty much the same as it costs now. As for all of these apps, some are free and some are strictly subscription regardless of what device you get them on.

Neither of these televisions have the CW app. My Amazon 4K Fire Stick does. My Samsung televisions have most apps I watch like HBO-Max, Crackle t.v., Tubi t.v., and Pluto t.v.😁
I just got a 40" samsung 3 months ago and none of those apps exist for me either. But I did see a vid about installing pluto on a samsung but it doesn't exist for me.
Thanks for another great video. I got a Roku Streaming Stick Plus for my Samsung smart TV when I cut the cord because I could only load a few apps on the Samsung before it ran out of storage space.
Being my first Samsung smart tv I can only say that I haven't encountered any serious omissions with the exception of Philo. This is off subject, but I have been giving the Fubo/A&E situation some thought, and I believe that we will see the return of the Turner networks sooner than later for the following reasons. If Fubo continues without EITHER of the Turner or A&E packages for very long I think they will pretty much destroy the entertainment side of their service. I don't see any other outcome if they don't add the Turner networks back. If they want to continue on with a viable entertainment lineup at all, they MUST have one of those packages in their lineup, and it makes much more business sense to add Turner back, because it strengthens both their Sports AND Entertainment lineups. Kind of a TWO FOR ONE deal, versus only a purely entertainment package with A&E. I believe that we will see some movement on this fairly soon if they want to stop people from unsubscribing in huge numbers, many of which will not return. Unless they plan to return to a purely sports streaming service, I see no other VIABLE choice. Another POSSIBLE BUT UNLIKELY option would be for them to drop the entertainment part of their lineup entirely while adding the Bally RSNs. I believe that the only way for them to afford those Bally RSNs would be to totally exit the entertainment part of their service. What do you think about this? I would really like to see you do a segment on this if you feel that it's worth looking into. 🙂🤞
@@spaceghost4474 I think they need Turner because of the sports rights for MLB, NHL and NBA. Otherwise they’re just a sports service for football and soccer. I don’t see A&E as essential for a sports-centric service.

Unsporting Smart TVs is the downside of television manufactures forcing the consumer to by an OTT devices or a new television set every few years. Hopefully, everything becomes more universally compatible with more Smart televisions for longer periods of time.
When got my samsung tv, there were hundreds of apps and there was a search function to search an app. I could also see the network folders and stream from there. Now what happened? updates updates, search button is gone, there are only 135 apps and I cannot see network folders, it says to install stupid samsung app to the server etc..
I just bought a new 2024 Samsung because I couldn't get many of the streaming channels I wanted. Can't get them on the new TV either. Should have saved my money and bought a Roku.
And I Just Got Shocked when i Checked They removed all The Browser From The app Store To Force u to use the built-in default one which is extremely outdated

Chromcast does the trick too. Plug it on your free HDMI port, power via USB. And your good to go, steam any app via your Phone or PC (with Chrome browser).
same goes to AT&T TV app, some older samsung model like 2017/18 getting an error when streaming & once uninstalled, can no longer be install back. Pretty understandable, tv hardware just cant handle the technology and pick up the software as it progress
Hi Michael. The paramount app on my smart tv disappeared sometime in the last 3 months. I was there before, I used it without issue and now it is gone. I used the search function you suggested to find it, it was not found. I did a hard reset of the tv and tried again, no luck. Further things I should try?

Hi Melissa. Did you search the app store? I just checked my 2021 Samsung and I see it. It's not pre-installed, but it's available for download. You just have to search for it. Click the home button on your remote, then arrow to the left a few times until you see search, click that and type Paramount Plus. The app should appear near the top of the screen.
Thanks for the video, I been frustrated with my Samsung smart tv, I’ve had problems day one , I couldn’t update my software, on phone with tech support long hours , and lots BS claim they fix the issue then the return label never showed, then it ran out warranty talked higher up and they claim they fixed it if I get it to their repair shop , long story short Covid hit never got it fixed. I think my hard drive on TV is bad bcz I can search nothing on web , and keeps getting hit and freezes…keep taking me back to reg Tv stations.. Well on the Apps I had Hulu, Netflix, Vudu, TH-cam,Amazon prime, and out of all of them my Hulu disappears I used it like 3 month ago.. but all others I mentioned are still there and some I don’t use very frustrating.. first Hulu blamed Samsung, then Samsung said it not them.. I did research found it’s Hulu issues.. I called 4 diff times and finally got someone knew something and it Hulu they not supporting my model , to go upgrade my Tv or use my phone, get roko all about money.. Like others I agree will never buy a Samsung Tv.. I always tho they were no1.. I say I should’ve got Sony..or LG or Hitichia.. most had roko program on it.. I tho Samsung was best.. it wasn’t cheap Tv either… live and learn .. I’m sorry others has same issues.. I previously had a Toshiba fire stick TV. With the voice command I was able tell my TV to play a specific movie on a specific app. For example "Play Spiderman on Disney +" and it would play. This does not seem to be feature on my new Samsung Crystal TV. It can only only the app on command. But doesn't know what to do when I ask for specific movie or show within an app. Am I missing something?

Using the direct tv stream box and downloaded all my favorite apps exact for Apple TV it wouldn’t show up but if you use the voice command and say “Apple TV” it takes you to the play store and shows it but says incompatible my tv is fairly old but I can use Apple TV through fire stick so kinda sucks but it’s only one app and everything else works beautifully and I love it

Hi, I have a newer Samsung Smart tv, 5 series, N5200, that comes with cable. Have it hooked to my wifi. I am able to download these apps. But, it will ask me for 'which provider'. Since cable is already provided by the TV itself, how do I choose a provider from their list?

No Roku is a one time cost. The only charges would be if you choose to subscribe to paid apps.

The strangest thing when searching for Hulu on my Tv, they added horrible apps most from foreign countries, not even a Spotify, india, China, Bollywood,…most apps now are paid version like Vudu u can’t sign in without paying for it I. My iPhone it free with some free shows.. they went down hill.. sorry 4 the rant…

I bought a LED Sanyo smart tv from Walmart and it's apps are outdated and VERY limited except TH-cam so I bought a Roku box, Chromecast to make it a smarter tv.

I have a Samsung and want to watch 2 sports channels at the same time in multi view. But it will only let you use 1 hdmi input and apps. I previously had a Toshiba fire stick TV. With the voice command I was able tell my TV to play a specific movie on a specific app. For example "Play Spiderman on Disney +" and it would play. This does not seem to be feature on my new Samsung Crystal TV. It can only only the app on command. But doesn't know what to do when I ask for specific movie or show within an app. Am I missing something?

Using the direct tv stream box and downloaded all my favorite apps exact for Apple TV it wouldn’t show up but if you use the voice command and say “Apple TV” it takes you to the play store and shows it but says incompatible my tv is fairly old but I can use Apple TV through fire stick so kinda sucks but it’s only one app and everything else works beautifully and I love it

But my older samsung smart tv, had Pluto but not the newer one & I seen the age gaps(which mine should be fine!) They said it was another reason, via just for some odd reason to not support it on that version... but using an extra device sucks(even thought I have an Xfinity flex box & chrome!) But sometimes I just want to press ch. & not switch to device, find app & then go to the channel & so on & so forth!!! Update:: they now have Pluto tv on my newer tv... Lolz... so crazy!!!

I have a newer Samsung Smart tv, 5 series, N5200, that comes with cable. Have it hooked to my wifi. I am able to download these apps. But, it will ask me for 'which provider'. Since cable is already provided by the TV itself, how do I choose a provider from their list?
I have a Samsung 24 inch smart TV someone left in an RV I bought so I went on Amazon and bought a used roku express for less than $15.
I prefer roku,I have a 7 year old 32 inch Roku in my livingroom.
