- Daw-less hardware synth jam with mostly analog (or analog emulated) synth gear recoded live. Each jam I use different combinations of gear (and sometimes guitar) to compose and improvise a song in a single evening, often with the help of my cat Edgar.
In this Jam I'm using Chase Bliss onward on the Moog Grandmother with a lo-fi patch to generate some glitchy lo-fi pads. The patch on the Grandmother involves routing the reverb into the pitch of the second oscillator, which causes organic sounding instability or interference as the reverb of the previous note colours the pitch of the next. On the guitar I'm using a combo of fuzz and chorus as the jam felt like it needed more of a rhythm section. I didn't decide on a clear chord progression before hand, doing the melody line on the Grandmother first which turned out to be a mistake- there's a few very dissonant moments. But I think overall it worked.
Synth Gear: Moog Grandmother, Volca Drum, Arturia Beatstep, Chase Bliss Onward, OBNE Expression Ramper, Fairfield electric Randy's revenge, EHX Ocean's 12 Reverb
Guitar: Supercool '77 Fuzz light, OBNE BL-82 Chorus
Epic! Really epic!
Cool sounds and yet
10:45 the cat is disapointed and impatient
I know, he loves keys and hates the guitar! I can't win
THIS SOUNDS GREAT.ARE YOU PLANING TO RELEASE IT?
