The groove at 1:52 - 2:22 is unbelievable. Well everything.. the feel, the independence, the originality, the dexterity, the fact that it captures everything that needs to be captured makes it sheer brilliance.
Bobby's a prodigy whatever genre he gets involved to, from Spastic Ink to Ace in the Hole to give Bobby the title Progressive Drummer is such an understatement. He's such a very criminally underrated drummer in my opinion. Those grooves are insane.
@@Signofevil_Smile4theCam I remember watching them (Ralph and Bobby) in our high school talent show. Bobby was awesome then too, as was Ralph. Ronnie was still in grade school. Extremely talented family and some of the nicest people I've ever met.
How do you even call this type of music? It sounds like ut of a video game... like Metal slug, or a Snes videogame. If someone can recomend songs like this!
There is a CD of these songs- someplace, This song was written with some local musicians in San Antonio. The other songs were put together by Ronnie, his brother, for this DVD. Those songs might be on Ronnie's website.
Always loved this guy's talent. Top shelf drummer (percussionist etc. I would hate it if I offended anyone by simply saying drummer. Lol. In the day where everyone's feelings are so important your a effing racist, if you can't use an appropriate pronoun or some dumbshit. Fantasy land). Sorry for the train of thought rant. 😟 talented family all around. The like this , Neil Peart and many others just make the hair on my arms stand-up they just embody for me what it is to truly love what they do and push themselves. Ahhh warm fuzzy. As I embarrass myself blabbing on. 😎
@Easleytee This leaves me completely cold. No soul, no passion; no 'feel'; just re-hashed clichés. Technically flawless but utterly uninspiring. A machine could do that but a machine can't 'drum' - it takes a human to really drum.
musiclover9361 if this guy's drumming didn't make you "feel" certain ways throughout this performance and the other songs in this DVD, then you're just not into the style or should open your mind, because the way this guy writes and composes these songs is extremely thought provoking to me. So I'd say he's doin a good job
MOST UNDERATED DRUMMER IN THE WORLD.
The most under the radar absolute f n beast no doubt one of the most sophisticated , technical, greatest drummers of all time
Bobby is awesome, it’s an honor to know him personally…S.A. Metal capital of the World!

Speechless. All those polyrhythms and this beautiful composition.
All those transitions are really smooth. Amazing show of intellect, just wow.

Its interesting to hear such metal influenced drumming on a Jazzy track. It reminds me of some of the drumming in some Allan Holdsworth songs.

He plays bass doesnt he?
He did in high school anyway...
@@zajacrabbit5005 yeah, Ralph plays bass and keys, Ron is Mr. Guitar himself and well, Bobby is Mr. Drums.

It's definitely NOT Ralph on keys.

Bob needs to get some cymbals.
Bobby is actually a Skrull
@bobrobertsz and the fact he leads with his left hand most of the time just baffles me... its because just can lol.
I'm pretty sure these songs were recorded for this dvd only
Which DVD are you referring to?
Who's the idiots that gave this a thumbs down? Please explain yourselves.
Lars Ulrich using multiple accounts.
How do you even call this type of music? It sounds like ut of a video game... like Metal slug, or a Snes videogame. If someone can recomend songs like this!
It's basically complex jazz fusion. Listen to albums featuring Al Di Meola, Allan Holdsworth, Terry Bozzio etc.
Is there a book with the dvd? Because I cant understand a fucking nothing this way

Thank you. I presume idiots are allowed an opinion - or is that only if they agree with everyone else (which would make everyone an idiot)?
what's album is this ?? please !!!
ERICh Santos this was made just for the purposes of the instructional video. as well as 'peppered cancer' and 'school'
Peppered Cancer is actually on one of the Spastic Ink albums, it was renamed to "A Quick Affix"
2:37 mishap?
in the original "Performance and Technique" DVD Video by Bobby Jarzombek, that doesn't happen.
And he tours with Sebastian Bach..?!!

The interpretation seems like Dream Theater's style. Very tasty drum fills.
Beyond Dream Theater!!! Thats a pleb comaparison!

3:35 on is just saying, "So, just in case you thought you could play this tune...just give up."
