My family is in orebic on Peljašac just opposite Korčula! Also Lombarda, which is another town a few miles away from korčula town has a very nice sandy beach so you won’t need to worry about sea urchins!
Croatia always blows me away, it looks like almost nothing I’ve ever seen before. Definitely an underrated country. (Video idea? Most underrated countries?)
Croatia is always rated high in world and european top 10 most beautiful countreys contet so many Holiwood movies and series are filmed in Croatia i remembered couples very famouse Game of Thrones,Star-Wars,The Hitman,Robin Hood,Mamma Mia,so many world celebrities spending their holidays in Croatia you can chek that info on google, the only problem is that Croatia is small with population only 4.1 milions citizens small country but so big and amazing in nature, culture and natural attractions.
We'll be heading to Croatia this summer, so if we head to this island then I'll check it out! We visited before and found the beaches to be really difficult so we headed towards Nin which had some beautiful sandy stretches and a lovely old town. The beaches of Zadar looked like a load of concrete had been crushed and used. Not nice even though it's a great city for visiting. Great content again, especially in regards to the pesky sea urchins you find there.😁
The story you mentioned of the women putting on the uniforms to look like more people are there, reminds of the scene in Home Alone where kevin has the cardboard cutouts to distract the burglars
Enjoying your videos ever since I’ve discovered this channel !! I’m in Strasbourg France (beautiful here) .., off to Colmar tomorrow May 9/2019. Keep making your videos .., awesome !!
Thanks for your great videos! :-) Just one thing about your Croatian vids: in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian it is very easy to remember that about all names are pronounced with emphasis on the first syllable. So, it is KORčula, not KorČUla. Or DUbrovnik, SArajevo, ZAgreb, BEograd, ZAdar, ...
You forgot to mention the food!...and the excellent wine produced on the island.....and the short 3 mile trip to Lumbarda for its beaches...water taxis available for nearby islands,...as well as many hidden coves for swimming near Korcula......the hill behind you is easy to walk up or drive to and has amazing views of the old town.....the opposite side of the island is Vela Luka, also a place worth seeing.....please let me know the next time you go there,...I'll hook you up with a well known local musician who is extremely knowledgeable about this beautiful place.
Hi, Wolter and viewers! My fiance and I are well-traveled and are trying to pick a honeymoon destination for May of 2024! We are torn between Japan which would be our first time going (his #1 bucket list place, but very expensive), Croatia which would be a new country for us, and Portugal which we have been to before but would like to explore areas we missed last time such as Faro, the Algarve, etc ... We love all types of scenery and cultures. We are just concerned on price for Japan as well as how much relaxation we will get to do as we would be going to many places in Japan such as Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Mt. Fuji, etc... Croatia has climbed our list, but since we have never been we were hoping to get some insight from others. Any and all help is appreciated. 🤩
We were there in July last year for only a day and loved it. We would like to go again and btw. our kids as well as ourselves did love the Marco Polo Museum. ;)
3:43 I heard about rukia from a girl who lived in Bulgaria. I'll edit this comment to include her name and a link to her channel if I find either of them.

Love Korčula!!
We were there last May. It was so beautiful and hardly any other folks there in May. We had our pick of tables next to the water.
Looks like a beautiful little city. I've been to Zagreb and Split in 96. I loved the country. Thanks for sharing.
Korcula was the only island I chose when in Croatia and I loved it so much. Rented a scooter to see the island is a great way to do it!
Croatia is on my travel list. Thank you so much for sharing. Love your videos!!!
Love your channel. Croatia seems very interesting. I got to get there some day
Same here, my friend was actually there last summer and they said it was very hot there
As always, Mark, great video! And I will now be adding Korčula to our Croatia itinerary, so thank you!
You are very welcome. It's such a cute small town. I wish I would have had more time there

Did you ever go to Slavonija? If not i recommend Osijek, Požega and Nova Gradiška
Ljubljana, also and Bled.
Nova Gradiška? Really?
Just wanted to ask what are some ways to pass time in the airport waiting for your flight? Thanks.

The tourist idea was great, anyone caught damaging property or being a loud obnoxious arsehole should be tied up to the shaming pole.
