Korčula is one of my favourite places on the coast. Just came back from there a week ago, where I was in a small town called Zavalatica on southern side of the island and it was beautiful. Was supposed to visit the city of Korčula for one day, but had some health issues on the scheduled day and had to skip, but my brother brought me a souvenir, so I was happy.
Hi. I’m a Filipina living in Italy. Your videos made me want to visit Croatia. Now, me and my friends are enjoying our 5 day vacation here in Croatia. We already visited Varazdin, Trakoscan Castle and some of museums in Zagreb (we might can’t visit all the museums in the center because there are a loooot of them😂). Hope to see you around Zagreb😅
Korcula is an absolute jewel. This was a lovely video beautifully illustrating the area. I’m from the U.K. and we call small, secluded (often empty) beaches private too; meaning ‘to have privacy’. Thank you for bringing us all along on your family holiday it’s so generous of you ☺️. I hope next time we visit Korcula we will catch the sword dancers, they looked wonderful.

Beautiful! I love these "cute little restaurants on the way!" They are always one of the highlights of every journey. :) The giant butterfly was even more frightening than the octopus. 😂
Old town of Korčula wasn't shaped like a fish bone just to prevent winds, it was actually to help winds circulate throught the city so the smell goes away, something like a ventilation system, also it was build like that so the defenders from the middle of the city could get to the defending walls very fast if city is under attack. I'm kinda sad you didn't go and see moreška dance in Korčula, it is a very unique experience. There are no private beches in Korčula and if someone tells you to leave and that it's their beach, just ask them to show you the papers that the beach is theirs, most of them don't have those papers so you'll be good to stay. Also you have been to Pavja luka wich is a beautiful beach but there are others very similar like Pupnatska luka, Bačva, Ražnjić, Brna, Zavalatica, Proizd (little island near Vela Luka, 45 minutes by boat but it's worth the time), and many other places around the island. You could've gone to Badija (little island near Korčula, maybe 10 minutes with boat if not less) and see the deers, I'm sure the kids would've loved that. Korčula also has two famous caves, Vela Špilja in Vela Luka (known because Neanderthals lived there, I think it was Neanderthals) and Jakosova Šplilja between Pupnat and Lumabrda on the southern coast of the Island (I don't know exactly where) wich are also worth your time for visit, even if you don't like them they still provide decent amount of cooling on sunny hot day, maybe it might even be a little cold in there. Also Korčula is known for one of the best sunsets in the world (especially on the western side of the old town). There are also famous legenda about Korčula like the one about Korkyra Melaina (Crna Korčula, origins of the name for the island) or Korčulanske vile/Vile s Kočja (fairys from Kočje). If you want check them out. Last thing but not less worthy, Korčula island is home of Lumbarajska psefizma (ancient Greek times and Romans time), Korčulanski statut (one of the oldest books of laws in the Croatia if not the oldest). If you ever read this (since I'm 5 month late to video and chances are very small) I hope it helps a bit to understand more about Korčula, also I hope anyone who reads this now understands more about Korčula.

Dalmatia in ❤
can you provide the location of the beach
Nice video but you should have shown the house of Marco Polo. The water in Croatia was cold in Brac and Hvar.
👍👍
We will be in Korcula in a week. Would love to know how we could go to that private beach.
Check on google maps Pavja Luka.
Divan video,u Hrvatskoj ne postoje privatne plaže:))
I just need to pinpoint this: thx God, there are no private beaches in Croatia.
You can have all the money in the world, but you can't buy or build anything on land (correct me someone if I'm wrong) 100 m from the sea, unless it was build 100 years ago.
As I said on your other video so I'm repeating myself, you've got adorable family!
EDIT: I've just noticed, that someone wrote this before and your answer to that ['private' means also secluded, hidden]...
But I won't correct this.
For other foreigners to know.
I'm writing too much.
I'll show myself out.
🤦♂️😇🤗🇭🇷💙🇨🇦

Its tomato paradise 😂
niti jedno niti drugo, vec rajcica.
a kaj se tice ostaloga, Hrvatska je oduvijek bila raj na zemlji. Nazalost dio Hrvatica i Hrvata to nezna cijeniti.
Privatne plaže ne postoje, shvatite to!!

Super su klipovi, mali savet (ako smem?). Pokušaj da više forsiraš hrvatski jezik. Odlično ga govoriš a verovatno i deca. Ubaci naknadno engleski prevod za gledaoce iz sveta :)
Jbg brt,zato nisi dobio srce🤣

Lip pozdrav
private beach in Croatia? that does not exist in Croatian law. you are lying to people.
There are no private beaches in Croatia. The law prohibits the privatization of maritime assets. Don't lie to people!
bloody hell... private mean its not easy to found..not many tourists know thus beaches.. not " its mine "
@@TheKroate78 There exist word for that meaning and it is "hidden", not "private".
@@ziusudra5087 in german language you also would say " its a privat beach" ... means you are privat,, not many other
@@TheKroate78 Are we write on german or english? I know what "private" meaning on croatian.
There is no such thing as private beach.
The meaning was privacy of the beach(we were alone there) not the ownership.
