@@nazlibrushAwesome! And thank you for replying back. I never would have imagined you would answer my questions. Most TH-cam content creators don’t reply back. Thank you. I've heard mixed reviews for the Pro 200 where some have major issues and others don’t. And almost everyone states INK is $$$$$! Two days ago, I purchased the Epson ET-8550 and have a 14-day return policy. My concern with Epson's is known for ink clogging (using their inks), paper jams, or paper not recognized in the tray or rear. I know, I've had many Epsons. So, I've been debating to either return it and get the Pro 200 or 300. What I like about the Epson is the EcoTank inks, SAVINGS. And it does print absolutely beautifully. But, not great for 300gsm of paper (heavy cardstock). The goal for this type of printer Epson or Canon is crafting and some photography. I need a printer that can handle heavy cardstock and them with fine details. So, the only thing that is holding me back is the cost of inks for the Canon Pro 200. I was also told that the Canon does a self-cleaning which, in terms of using a lot of ink during that process. So, ink cost and longevity for Canon Pro 200 are my concerns before making the $$$ purchase. And I don’t want to be stuck a few months from now if the Epson starts to perform issues and can’t return it. What are your thoughts. Again, thank you for replying 😎
Hi Nazli! Just got myself a new Canon Pixma PRO 200 recently, Can u tell me how do u refill the catridges, which ink bottles you use for best results? or if you prefer to buy new cartridge which seems very expensive? Any suggestions? Thank you!
Hi there! I don't refill my ink cartridges. I buy ink sets or individually. You might find some videos on TH-cam about refill. It is expensive but I think it is worth it.
Hi Nazli! I have the same printer but I’m having issues with properly setting up how to get accurate colors or consistent looking prints. Can you share your workflow of how you print your artwork? What software do you use to print your artwork? I’ve been using Photoshop and I’m having a terrible time getting it to work properly.
Hi Janeen, I use Photoshop and Canon software. If you can watch my paper videos you'll be able to see the quality of color is different from paper to paper. It is important to choose the right setting for the paper on the printer and the software you'll use. I should say I've figured it out after using so many different settings and inks and papers :)
Hey! Why did you choose the Canon PIXMA PRO 200 instead of the PRO 100? Maybe I missed that part in the video. I am between both right now and would love your opinion! Thanks!
hey there, what I understood from both printers is 200 is more like upgraded version of 100. I wanted to have something a little higher bur also good for starting a business at home. I am very happy about it but I should say they both are very common so ink situation is difficult for both.
@@keithk1799 Because of the price point. for art or illustration I don't think there is much of a difference between 200 and 300. but for photography it is a different situation. As an artist instead of paying more money for 300, I would rather buy 200 now and start selling with great result and if I need to upgrade it, I would rather buying 1000. It is a great printer.
PRO-100 vs PRO-200: The PRO-200 is probably the highest quality dye-based printer you can currently buy and in general delivers exceptional color prints. PRO-100 is also dye-based. For paper handling it is certainly much better than the PRO-100 and has a newer interface. With OEM inks it certainly delivers better results. At $600 I think it is reasonably priced and a great choice for the more causal, lighter use. For heavy use (more than 300 A4 / letter prints a year) it makes sense to get one of the larger printers (PRO-1000 or Epson P900) as the cost per mL of ink is much less. I personally own a PRO-200, love it all around and with practice / testing you can get great B&W prints too. If you can get a killer deal (less than $200) on a PRO-100 it is probably worth it but otherwise I would def go with the PRO-200. PRO-300 vs PRO-200: The $900 PRO-300 has similar paper handling to the PRO-200, and nearly looks the same on the outside but is pigment based. For color prints the PRO-200 might have slight edge, but for B&W the PRO-300 will be easier to get great results from. Also the PRO-300 will be easier to get great results with Matte papers, gloss will be about the same. Ink cost per mL is nearly identical, but the PRO-300 with its pigment based inks will have more aggressive cleaning cycles and more prone to clogs if used lightly. Now this is sort of the problem with the PRO-300, combined with its higher up front cost, need to be used more, and relatively high cost of ink compared to larger printers (Canon PRO-1000 or Epson P900) I don't really see the point of it. Personally if I wanted the a pigment based printer for the purposes of doing lots of B&W or have a desire to use a lot media, such as watercolor over the prints (pigment based inks are much better for this, but I mean to try it with the PRO-200) I would spring for the even more expensive Epson P900. The P900 has low ink cost, can support very think media, and has a modern interface. It is of course very expensive up front, costing $1200 and it doesn't even come shipped with a full ink set. If Canon releases a replacement for the PRO-1000 that may also be worth considering. The PRO-1000 is a bit old and very aggressive with cleaning cycles.
I'm looking into buying a new printer for artwork. The Epson ET-7750 uses ink tank which means inks last a super long time so over time its more economical, however their printers are poor quality with issues all the time, so got to weight up options. I've heard great things about the Canon Pixma Pro-200 and I'm hesitant to go back to using ink cartridges as ink cartridges are more expensive/run out much quicker. I just wanted to know based on how many prints you do per month/how many pages you print before inks run out?
The number of prints you can make depends on your designs and how much ink they use. I did my calculations using Canon's numbers for printing photographs. My designs use a lot less ink than a photo, because a photo will have ink on almost the whole page, while my designs have negative space around the illustrations. But using the manufacturer's numbers for photos is a good way to make a safe estimate.
@@nazlibrush Thanks for replying Nazil. Though I am a photographer, I only really use ink printers for my other passion which is typography style home prints, so like yours have a lot of negative space. In the end I purchased the Canon Pixma IP8750 and love it. The colours are gorgeous and I found some great card paper for my prints and cards! :)
@@LindaWisdomphotography for the PRO-200 full 8 cartridge set of 12.6mL inks you should be able to get just over 100 A4 / Letter Sized / 8x10 printed photographs. Obliviously some inks will run out sooner than others. The images you print and quality you print at will change things a bit too. The PRO-200 is fairly economical, but if you are printing a lot something bigger like the Epson P900 or Canon PRO-1000 might be a better choice.
Please Please Please do NOT buy the Epson. My 18 month old ET-7750 just turned into an $1,100 paper weight after running their built-in nozzle cleaner. This is a known issue with these. I was heart broken. The Ecotank idea sounds appealing until you don't use it for a couple weeks, the printhead dries out and then the printhead AND the main board FRY when you attempt to clean it due to the pressure that builds up in the moderately clogged head. The Canon does not suffer from this, plus the images from the Canon are far better to begin with. Nobody would fix my Epson either so it is basically a disposable printer when something goes wrong. It was also discontinued after a very short, painful run. Luck me. Now you've heard it from someone who knows... For what it's worth.
@@PJ-ee5mc Agree! Epson printers are shite! I had two ET-7750s and they both died in months. Absolutely crap - cheap quality materials, bad mechanism and to top it off absolutely shockingly bad tech/customer support.

you can find in their website price per sheet for each size. I am very happy with my printer to be honest but I think ink is difficult for all of us. it is not cheap but for Epson I don't know which is the best for you as a Canon printer user:)
@W0lf If you are worried about cost per print, definitely don't get the Epson P700 as it is one of the most expensive per page. Get the Epson P900 instead, it is much cheaper per page and has all the capability of the P700 and more (prints 17" instead of 13"). I honestly see no reason anyone should get the Epson P700 over the P900 unless you are really concerned with up front cost (the P900 does cost more up front of course).
@@Pupperpie It kind of depends what you are looking and what your needs are. If you think you will be a more causal user, and printing less than ~300 A4 / letter / 8x10 sized prints per year, are okay with only printing 13", and mostly print in color (not B&W) then the Canon PRO-200 is probably the better choice. The Canon PRO-200 also uses dye-based inks. If you need a wider format printer going up to 17", prefer pigment inks, will be printing B&W frequently, and will be printing frequently (over 300 A4 / letter / 8x10 sized prints per year) then the larger more expensive Epson P900 would be the better choice. I have own the PRO-200, it does a great job overall, is outstanding for color, and I can get good B&W prints but just requires a bit of trial and error with some evaluation of test prints to ensure a good final product. These two printers are two best photo printers you can buy right now, but they do serve slightly different purposes as mentioned above.
I just bought this printer and I’m trying to print stickers but I’m not sure what paper settings to use. I haven’t figured that out yet since sticker paper is not one of them. If you know could you please share? Thanks!
I don't print sticker papers but I think this printer might be good for sticker as well. I would recommend you to try out some test prints and see which profile works the best for your art!
yes, you can print. I printed thick watercolor papers and it was printing early. $.25 x 5.5is my greeting card size and I was able to do it. actually this is my first ink and I printed a lot so far and it has still 70%. I hope these were helpful 💕
@anika_estes Weird that TH-cam censored out the. "could you please let me know if?" that you typed before you asked the questions, right? Also that they deleted the "Thank You" you surely replied to Nazli for her answers.
I am afraid you have purchased the wrong printer. The Canon Pixma Pro 200 uses dye inks and these inks are not very good on Matt papers, which you like the finish to be. The Canon Image Prograf Pro 300 printer uses Pigment based ink which is very suitable to use on Matt paper. Sorry !!!
Thanks for sharing. I am waiting to order the Epson P900 but everyone is sold out right now. I just subscribed and looking forward to more videos. What is the name of the song and the artist singing the song in your video? It was awesome. Thanks again.
Thanks for the sub! Epson P900 is a great one as well! I am happy you found a good printer for your own use. all the songs are linked in the description part. thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🌞
Win just for showing the ink cartridges in the printer in detail. A lot of more boring/technical videos don't even show that, which is ironic and sad. I'm about to buy one of these things and test it with some high resolution phosphor photography and pixel art prints. Trying to get rid of an XP-15000...
I already knew that it is not refiable before I buy it and I don't use refiable ones. Each ink is $13 and I can print many many art works that is worth for me. But if you are looking for a refiable option this is not for you and I unfortunately don't know much about those options.
I know what you really mean but it is a new printer and not just this printer pixma pro 100 or 10 was having the same issue as well. these printers are good for home business and the ink comes and goes quickly. I generally buy individually and the ink links are in the description box. all the products I use in there as well. I generally keep one set extra all the time. I highly recommend it. ☺️
They are nowhere to be found. I swear there is not even one in this whole country where i live and i have search under every stone. The chip shortage is to much
Me too! I'm trying to buy in the UK and seems to be no information as to when this printer will be in stock anywhere. I am needing to get one in the next month, so I think I am going to have to go with the Prograf 300 as that is in stock, even though I would prefer the 200. The other option is Pixma i6850 that has been recommended to me by a friend and is much cheaper, but does not handle card above 300gsm, which I will want to print on. Hope your are able to find something for yourself :)
Great point! I agree! Ink is nothing cheap but it is A LOT cheaper for me to produce my own prints at home rather than a 3. company. It is way more expensive and there is always a minimum quantity issue. But now I only print when someone purchase. I hope this was helpful.
Oh, I totally agree with you. 😊. I just bought the Pro 200, after my older Pixma iP8720 started “misbehaving “. I don’t remember how long I’ve had that one but it is an older model that Canon doesn’t support in terms of repair anymore. They still show it on their website at a very good price, but didn’t make sense to by it when there isn’t any support for it. The 200 is probably more than I need because I’m not a photographer and don’t print large single prints, but I do print larger size papers and images for my cardmaking.

Buy the Canon!
@@nazlibrush thank you!! Will keep trying ❤️
Did you ever figure out settings for sticker paper?
Great review! can this print in white?
Unfortunately not
Can it print Neneeh 110 lb cardstock?
Can you print 4.25x5.5 sheets?
How fast does the ink get used up?
yes, you can print.
Also that they deleted the "Thank You" you surely replied to Nazli for her answers.
great video thanks!
Glad you liked it!
How does the canon platinum pro paper turn out on this printer? Great video just ordered this exact printer!!
Fantastic! I hope you'll enjoy using your new printer!
What is the price
I say in the video pricing, where I bought it from and eveything!

I will make sure I take videos whenever I change the in cartridges so it can be helpful in the other videos as well.
No la compres no son rellenables y son caras las tintas así que tendrás que Pedirlas en canon y sales $558 mx
I already knew that it is not refiable before I buy it and I don't use refiable ones. Each ink is $13 and I can print many many art works that is worth for me. But if you are looking for a refiable option this is not for you and I unfortunately don't know much about those options.
it has mostly bad reviews over Amazon. I kinda doubt if it's a good idea to get this printer
this is basically an investment and it is not cheap but for me and for my business it was the best investment so far! I wish the best for you!
I would love my printer more if I could ever find where to get the ink x.x
I know what you really mean but it is a new printer and not just this printer pixma pro 100 or 10 was having the same issue as well. these printers are good for home business and the ink comes and goes quickly. I generally buy individually and the ink links are in the description box. all the products I use in there as well. I generally keep one set extra all the time. I highly recommend it. ☺️
why 200? not 300 and 100
the answer is in the comments!
I am sorry to hear that. I hope they will restock it quickly.
it doesn't matter what brand of printer you have the cartridges are super EXPENSIVE. The most expensive liquid on the planet! 🤣🤣
Güle güle kullan 🎀
Tesekkur ederim kuzum benim
🧡
🌞
Crap video....never explained why you bought 200 vs 300 and 100.....if you run your business the same.....good luck with that

💕💕
My prints always come out SO saturated, do you know a solution for this?
you should check your printer setting, and before you print be sure that profile settings are correct. I have other videos that I explain how I print and settings..
