- We found another hidden gem by lake Naivasha called Milima house. A beautiful property ideal to bring a few friends and very close to the Hell's Gate National Park.

Hells Gate National Park
Still today, I am not certain if we were allowed to do inside the gorges. Our Maasai guide told us twice that it was fine but I have the feeling that it was not. So please do your research and safety first!
Otherwise Hell's Gate is as beautiful as it gets. The trees and rock formations are simply stunning and the landscape is ideal for hiking.
The Geothermal Spa is very nice but be aware that it is not the typical hot springs you see in travel magazines. It is a very "resort" looking hot springs.

It's a very beautiful place, but sadly we also lost 7 youths from our church flashed by waters at hellsgate in 2012...that place the waters come from nowhere and the place is dry and no signs of rain.
And that's why I have never been to that place...it was such a tragic event. I still remember the incident.

It was my playground for adventure and endurance as a boy scout back in the days. Kenya's smallest game park yet packed with gentle wildlife, adventure, sceneries,Maasai cultural centre and the marvelous Olkaria Geothermal Complex and the spa.
It's the only game park one can picnic,hike and cycle with no fear of animal attack yet they're all over!
Hell`s Gate is really amazing and we will for sure go back for a little biking safari! :)

The management should build a gate to divert water during the day incase of a downpour when tourists are on site and open it at night when there are no tourists cos I've heard many people drown due to unexpected floods during the day, just to assure visitors safety
Yes, but at the same time we shouldn't disrupt nature either. Without the rain going down there, the gorge wouldn't even exist.

The water in the pool is usually cooled to a stable lower temperature, no its original temperature, and then recycled back underground.

Dave you are right about the smelly gas. I went for one month attachment to olkaria geothermal Station, and whenever we passed near the pipes or the Wells they smelled like spoiled eggs. But it was a wonderful experience all together.

I learnt in Naivasha during my early years... We took a trip to Olkaria Geothermal Springs they 'water ponds'were too hot you could boil an egg in 10mins... They should have taken you there
We did go to a spot where the water was boiling almost. Crazy what nature can do!

This place is very different from other parks, if you are adventurous this is the place to be. It can be dangerous during the rain seasons due to floods
