- Hot Air Balloon Safari is a unique experience quite different from ground safari. You can appreciate more the breathtaking expanse of the scenery & experience a different perspective of the landscape as you view it from midair. The wildlife sightings are awesome as you view them from above & follow them to where they are running & see the large birds like Storks & vultures alighting on tree tops as well as giraffes, the tallest living qudruped, whose head & neck sticking out of the tree tops The feel of floating in midair is a thrilling experience.

Thanks Faz. It was a thrill floating up in the air & exciting to take photos & video the moving animals below. Yes, definitely it should be on your bucket list. However if the ground wind is too strong or whirling, the balloon will have difficulty rising & the trip has to be cancelled for the following day or so & hope for calmer wind.
We djd our balloon ride back in February 2023. Is was Amazing!!! To my surprise it was very emotional.
Yes, it's amazing. I love it. That was my 3rd Balloon ride. The 1st was in Egypt where we were blown off course by the wind during landing & we wound up landing on the bank of a river. Then in Tanzania we had difficulty getting off the ground because of strong ground wind. This time in Kenya it was smooth ride & exhilarating.
I’m so glad I found your video. It’s amazing. We are going to the Safari in 10 days. Now I know I must go on the hot air balloon ride, otherwise I will miss out on all these amazing animal sceneries. Thank you so much for this wonderful and informative video.
Thanks Helen, I appreciate your comments. Bring your telephoto camera at least 300mm as the animals tend to be a little too far out at times or the balloon too high up. Try to watch the accompanying video w/c I titled "The Migration " w/c will give you an idea of the dramatic spectacle of the largest animal migration on earth. A wonder of nature. I hope you're lucky to have the chance to watch this amazing event.
@@erniemadarang3022 Thank you very much, I will. I also see that you used a selfie stick to record yourselves while your wife record the animals on the ground, is that right? I think that’s a magnificent idea and I want to do the same. But I’m afraid to drop my phone😅
Yes, that's right. Get a selfie stick that will secure the cellphone very very tightly, then attach an additional (longer) strap on the wrist strap & hang it over your neck so that if it slips off your wrist or drop the selfie stick it's still secured hanging on your neck.

The Hot Air balloon was part of a Safari trip arrange by the Gate 1 travel company. If you arrange for the Hot Air Balloon yourself will cost $500/person in Kenya & $550/person in Tanzania, for 1 hour ride. This was in 2021. Sorry for delayed response. I was out of the country for 3 weeks & just got back.
