Yo appreciate this info! I've been wanting to release more tracks and i was getting to a point where i was about to say F it and just upload them all.. BUT... maybe i should schedule them out.. -Peace and Love!
I started basically the same strategy at the start of 2021. Putting out a new song on Spotify every 2 weeks, and also planning to collabprate with more people, did one allready. It’s a really underestimated strategy to have a release schedule. People have oversold the idea of putting out that new song tomorrow just because they can. It doesnt make any sense unless you are at the level of beyonce, the weeknd etc. Also putting out an album out of the blue is in general a bad idea. Spreading them out as singles are just way better 🙂👌
Just released my first EP to Spotify on 09/04/2022! Today I am consuming all of your Marketing videos to understand how to best gain traction on social media to drive followers to stream my songs on Spotify. I'm following your advice given in this video and will let you know the results soon. Thanks so much! 😀
L Dre thank you so much for all your advice, I've been hard at work the past couple months and I can testify that people who implement these things behind some good music GET RESULTS
It’s crazy thinking how we’re already 1/4 through 2021 😳 however, I love & respect these plans you got going for the rest of the year! Wishing you the best n nothing less! ✨🙌🏼
personally getting on a lofi beats editorial playlist on spotify hasnt helped me grow audience thats for sure, 2 years on the playlist and I've not reached over 400 followers on spotfy so growing my audience outside of spotify is something I really need to figure out, its just that I always think whats the point to make any content outside of spotify if I dont believe in other platforms like TH-cam & other social media. ( like the ethics behind it etc)
Dude you are just super inspiring! These promo videos of you are soo nice energy and honest compared to most of the other videos of that topic. Thank you ❤️🪐
Great information bro! Been making beats for 2 years, and trying to finally get my music on Spotify the right way. Just subscribed to your channel, Great stuff!!🙏🏾✊🏾🔥🔥🔥
This really helps me a lot. I appreciate you taking the time and making these kinds of videos. Keep making dope content and music!! Hopefully one day I can collab with you.
I definitely advise getting lofi label placements! I have a bunch of placements coming out this year with some labels I’m sure you’ve heard of and I’m extremely grateful for that opportunity ❤️
Andre, I just wanted to say big thanks! You were really a big inspiration and actually pretty much the last push I needed to sit down and try to make my own music and then also to not be afraid to actually release it into the world. So I really wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for that! 🙏🏻Now, few months later I have actually released my own first instrumental mini album I guess, and it's in no small part thanks to you (Rhythms of New York on streaming, if you'll ever have some time to check it out I'd really really appreciate your feedback and thoughts). You were literally like the first beats/music producer who I've subscribed to 😀 So yeah, thank you, man, once again! Keep up the great work and I wish you even more success! Absolutely love the chill vibes of your videos and your music! 🔥❤️🔥
Preparing my fifth album/Beat tape and enjoying the process to just make music and share it with the world. The experience is always different :) Great infos, i'll try to not schedule a week before HAHA
I'd love you to collab with french lofi artists such as Pandrezz, l'Indécis, In Love with A Ghost to name a few ! Also, maybe more on a personal level : will your gf sing on your future song ? Because she have such a beautiful voice
Hey L. Dre! I’ve released a few singles and usually release songs and instrumental compositions. Lately I’ve been making a lotta beats and recently put out a short 4 track beattape and noticed the songs in the front have significantly more plays and it drops down with every track. I was thinking it would be fun to drop an hour long lofi beattape but I’m not sure people will play through more than the first few tracks. I don’t know 🤷♂️ Any thoughts on this?
I actually tried that strategy with beats in 2020 instead of songs and I’m pretty sure if I was releasing songs I’d garner more views and fans but instead i just dropped an instrumental a week and I went from 180 followers to 900 above and currently sitting at 1300 with no extra releases for this year. It works a bit tbh but if I had better content to promote and better ideas to present them to audiences I feel like I could have gotten more views and listens… either way you live and you learn and you get better ❤️🩹
Do you ever have periods of times when you work on something and then drop it and dont know how to approach it again / finish it? Its something i struggle with and was wondering if you have any advice for that. Love the vid btw 💪
We ran facebook ads for about 20$ a day during opening weekend or our release. We got on blogs, and we ended up getting on an editorial playlist, and then we scaled down the ads some after the first week. That seemed to help.
@@nigerianpicasso5794 I think the ad helped, we picked up about 10 followers before getting added to the playlist. Also, the artist increased her IG, and got on blogs. Plus it was a good song and all factors probably helped.

Yeah you're right man. Many artists prefer to just drop singles now.Hopsin being the example of this.

This video helped, and about the release schedule; I always release my music on TH-cam first anyway, but I do have a kind-of schedule :)

As a lofi producer aiming to grow on Spotify, do you think putting out singles is better than short EP's or longer albums? And does it matter at all?
I think ep's and albums are good for lofi because people like to listen to alot of it

Thank you bro🙏🏾
