I Suppose "Success" Is Subjective To Every Person, But I've Been Watching Since Your Studio Was Still In The Garage! Learnt So Much From You Fr, And Learning Consistency From You Has Brought Me So Much More Exposure, And I've Seen Nothing But Growth, Thank You For All Your Hard Work 🫶❤️ Stay Beautiful 🦋
Thanks, L.Dre, for your videos always I have learned a lot through this channel Would you make another video about how to upload an album on Distrokid, and it will never be removed even if I stop paying membership fees 😊
Not gonna lie, I wouldn't have any streams or monthly listeners if it weren't for your videos getting me started, especially this type that teaches the basics of marketing music. Your video were integral in getting my music heard. Much love. ✌
I was playing a Lofi playlist while stretching and this song “under the moon” came on. I like the original as it’s been used in countless shows and such. I grab my phone to like it and go..WAIT..THIS IS L.Dre?! Honestly kind of cool to just stumble upon one of your tracks!
Hey man! Really appreciate the advice coming from someone who has actually been there, done it, and succeeded. I find there's so many people giving out advice when they themselves have nothing to show that their advice works...It's honestly frustrating =/ Also you being an instrumental artist is nice too because I find most advice is from/for vocal artists. Big thanks :)
Why is your disposition so calming and pleasant. Also... "Chasing viral videos is not a healthy way to live."... I couldn't agree more. Thanks for making these.
Looking to cross from primarily selling type beats to releasing songs with artist and also release instrumentals. Thank you for videos like this, they really help a lot.
Can you talk more about how your track went viral, what content you made to make it happen, what was the main content other people made to make it happen etc? Thanks
11:00 bro!! Insane you say this. I have an artist with over 300k monthly listeners, steady streams etc. We did the Discovery thing and it said the exact same thing, same playlists etc and it said that are streams were up but absolutely nothing changed. If anything they went down a little! Haven't used it since. Very weird.
Love that you do these. I'm sure this rapid growth also leads to so many streams on the back end. Like I wouldn't be surprised if you're still getting hundreds of thousands of streams on songs you released years ago.
Great Content Amazing Video 💯💯💯 One Thing I would add is... Consistency is Key. The Spotify Algorithm can Pick Song on for Example "Spotify Radio" even 2 years after you Released it!!!!
meticulously pitching to individual playlists is hard work, but I definitely wouldn't have the streams I finally have without doing it. I would say it's definitely more reliable than trying to chase viral videos of course lol
I have 9 YT subs on this new channel with NO content. All real people, too. Just waiting for me to drop my albums. I love that. I wish all of you luck on your musical journey!
My only issue is that I don’t like the music scape in TikTok and reels because you basically become a TikTok artist and people only know 20 seconds of your song and they aren’t real fans
The twenty seconds of the song can lead to fans. Everyone knows the old commercials for the soul records or even the ones for NOW. You might not have gotten twenty seconds lol. Yet they sold. Album samplers had like a bunch of snippets too. Tiktok literally has a button that will take you right to the song on spotify if you like it. If someone can't decide if they like a song in 20 seconds then maybe that song isn't for them. The plus for that for you as an artist? You get more ears on your music than ever before, and you still get paid.
Hello, I am a relatively new artist and I make instrumental beats, as you said in the video, you do too. How did you overcome the struggles of competing with songs and artists that have lyrics, and how did you promote your tracks? And how long did it take from when you released your first track to get to 1k monthly listeners? Also is it possible for two instrumental artists to collaborate? Thanks
@@LDreTheGiant yeah the conversions are never gonna be amazing, I spend about $600 per month on FB/IG Spotify campaigns and average roughly 40-50 new Spotify followers per month. That’s almost $15 per follower (which is insane) but every follower is a potential ‘super fan’ who may buy a ticket or hoodie down the line!
hey bro thanks for the vid! quick question: how much did you spend on the discovery mode thing when you tried it??? I'm a new artist and think it's worth a shot, just not sure how much I should be spending
hey bro big fan i just wanna ask 1 question. everyone likes my song on tiktok, i get a lot of likes, but no one listens to it on spotify. i don't know what I should do is there anything you can suggest me? :/
@ldrethegiant appreciate all you do good brother. Could you possibly do a tutorial on your approach to avoid the annoying compression that Instagram and tiktok use that lowers the sound quality of a track? Sounds awful on Instagram reels and distorted on tiktok. Sounds like they change the quality from stereo to mono. Is there a solution? Thanks in advance.
I’m not sure honestly but I will say I personally never add track to my library. I usually just add to my playlists. There’s really no point of adding to your library if it’s in your playlist
Could you explain again how you got onto lofigirl playlist? Do you give away copyright and royalties to them? I saw somewhere they said you could use / download the songs for free use, that true? Asking for a friend 😅
The have a label and Mondo Loops releases with them all the time and that song was part of his album with them. And yes you can use them for TH-cam videos and streaming and all that for free
When you start at 0, nobody watches you. I dropped 1-2 content videos on tiktok per day and had no results. It’s not the likes, it’s the views that’s missing
I honestly confused as to why a producer would want to have Beats on streaming.... why not sell to artists and have an actual product? Artists can't even record on those beats for mkxtape purposes bc they are copywriten...
If anyone has had some success from watching my vids please let me in the comments. I’d love to hear it ❤

Thank you for sharing the knowledge LDre,so wonderful
Thank you for these points. I haven't had any song going viral yet, but consistency and playlisting help me to get more and more followers!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I've just released my first Lofi instrumental track on Spotify so I'm taking a lot from this video. Thanks again.

1 and 3 on point but I’d put facebook and instagram ads above playlists any day. Playlists build streams not fans
Yeah but you have to spend so much money to see any great results

I think another very useful thing is of course subit to lables for release and join theyr compilation project most labels do:)
One day I will do a collaboration with L.Dre I promise you that. Just watch me make that happen. I appreciate you sharing your secrets.
