This month, Ecosia pledged to plant 80,000 extra trees in Uganda and Indonesia - one for every person who attended the Parisian music festival We Love Green.
But even if you don’t attend the world’s greenest festival, there are many things you can do to party more sustainably this festival season:
* Take a reusable water bottle and a reusable coffee mug.
* Leave no trace - pick up your rubbish and use the bins provided!
* Whenever possible, travel by train, bus or bike.

Some of us in the team attended the festival and it was a great experience. We hope the video transmits the great energy of the festival. Many of you are asking whether there are any similarly "green" festivals outside of France - we're aware of SHAMBALA in the UK or the "Regeneration Festival" in Southeastern Spain (which, by the way, takes place on the fields of one of the farmers working with our tree planting organisation in Spain!).

I have an idea that has the potential to significantly increase profits and popularity for Ecosia. My idea is: Ecosia giving away a specific number of gift cards to users each month or an idea along those lines. This would give the users another incentive to use Ecosia for the long-term.
Volkswagen should switch to Ecosia to make amends for Dieselgate.
Also, speaking of music, how about something Rammstein-esqe for the next T-shirt design?

@@Ecosia I would say so, even though I didn't check them for a year or so.
They try to encourage people to bring back their trash, use busses and trains instead of the car, use solar for their local energy needs, do educational stuff and also some things with their food.

Good job, Ecosia! This is what music festival should be around the globe! No plastic bottles and refillable water is a great thing to be implemented! Also, 80,000 trees may seems like small number, but it's impact would be so huge, especially places like Indonesia and Uganda, where mass deforestation occur right now. It would be advisable if you could expand this festival to the other places, so we could outreach this type of festival to the people who're concert goer. A big thumbs up from Sarawak, Borneo.

@@noahbsrt7746 Disons que cela fait plusieurs années que j'utilise exclusivement ce moteur de recherche pour effectuer mes recherches. Après te dire le nombre exact, je ne pourrai pas car je nettoie régulièrement mon téléphone et du coup, le compteur d'arbres tombe à zéro. En ce moment, je suis à plus de 1100 recherches, j'espère avoir satisfait ta curiosité 😉

This is such amazing work! I love to see people actually take care of the Earth for a change! I hope to see one of these in my state! I'm sure it must've taken so a lot of resources to put this all together! So many people use the internet nowadays so I find the idea of a search engine that uses its profits to help our Earth is such a smart idea! I also love the idea of having vegan food at the festival, so many people don't realize the effect that cattle and other livestock has on our planet so I'm incredibly impressed! Congratulations Ecosia team 😊
Just think that the people who seen ads about ecosia and went to download it helped start this it is just amazing, and I love to see that people out there actually care for the enviroment and want a change in the way we do things

This is the kind of fest that needs to go global to help raise awareness and fundraise more tree planting like you've managed to do here! I've been an Ecosia user since 2010 and it's great to see that the search engine is finally getting the recognition it deserves and obviously gaining more traction in 2019 (the year of Green activism?) by hitting 50m trees and then 60m trees only a matter of months later!!! This is hella cool! I hope someone makes a documentary about this or some report that shows the thought process that went behind this and all the challenges faced and how they are working through them. I'm curious to know what they're doing to offset electricity use or what products they're using to diminish waste or modify the waste so it's compostable/recyclable. Share the knowledge so more people can take advantage of this method :-D :-D

If it weren't for the renewable energy you're already using renewable energy I'd suggest trying to use the toilet waste as a generator - I saw a tv show where a couple kept farm animals and used their manure to power a generator in their home. Otherwise I only suggest putting a bucket or two in your shower and using the collected water to either water your plants or to use for the toilet if it's been raining, you can get a decent flush or two out of one shower (just a word of warning though, when it comes to number 2's, it's best to just bite the bullet and press flush, trust me).
