  • Giving a tour of the Kymco Like 200i that I just picked up off of Craigslist. I normally ride a Harley, but this is a great little scoot!

    Picking up a 2012 today $800 looks to be in great shape! So wish me luck!

    FYI: manufacturers put kill switches on motorcycles so that if there is a problem, you don't have to remove your hands from the handlebars to shut the bike down.

    I am hoping to pick up an identical one tomorrow. I have a Suzuki C50 that I ride 2 up with my wife. This little scooter is for running errands and going to the gym.

    What's your opinion on the leg ergonomics? I hear lots of complaints about insufficient room for knees.

      I'm only 5'6 so no complaints from me. My knees aren't even close.

    The LIKE200i is made in CHINA, not Taiwan. Kymco is a Taiwanese company - but the LIKE is assembled in China.
    Fuel injected, dual disc brakes, twin shocks.
    Solid little scooter - but not for highway use! Too light weight, too short and too underpowered for highways! About 58mph (GPS) top speed.

      Wrong made in Taiwan.

      @@ohwell2790 Kymco is a Taiwanese company but, like many companies today, they have a plant in mainland China where the Like (and many other small Kymcos) is assembled. I have a 2019 Like 150 and it's great, no complaints at all, but it's built in China. Piaggio builds scooters in Vietnam. My 2015 Honda CB500X was built in Thailand and was trouble free for 12,000 miles. The geographical location of the factory doesn't really mean much as long as the workers are trained properly and the company controls the quality standards.

      @Barry Ervin Honestly though, that probably makes the Kymco Like the best quality scooter made in China.

    If you weigh 180 pounds you'll never hit the high side of sixty, never. Maybe 57 or 58 on the speedo (which is actually 54 or 55 mph). Fine scooter! but the only way anyone sees 65 would be to run her downhill with a tail wind and a 120 pound rider...

    • @ohwell2790
      @ohwell2790 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, I am 180 lbs and 55 mph is max, but what do people expect for a 164 cc engine and 11.5 horse power ? I own a 2012 Like 200 i and it does very well.

    I have the 2012 model of this scooter and it will do 55 mph with me on it.Will do t 45-50 real easy and the 200 is 164 cc and are 11.5 HP at 7200 rpm so learn what you are saying first. Typical female review and much like many male reviews too, who do not even try to know their machine. Enjoyed anyway
