Gonna be a fun season to watch, no question. When were we last legitimately 2 deep at both QB and RB like this with 2 natural winners behind Center? Let alone the great one-two punch in the back field with the Beast CJ and the ultra quick and exciting Jahiem? Losing one of the best centers we've ever had in Zack Frazier obviously hurts, but returning maybe the best tackle we've ever had in Wyatt softens that blow substantially imo and I think the portal helped the D drastically. So pumped for the end of August to take on the Nittany Lions here in Mtown. GO EERS!!!
As a WVU alum, I am praying for a team that competes for a BIG12 title. But I am afraid we are getting overhyped which can result in major disappointment. Remember, EXPECTATIONS ARE PREMEDITATED DISAPPOINTMENT.
There a several factors that will play in to how WVU will perform. 1. If they can play more man defensive schemes and stop getting picked apart in a zone. 2. If our line can stop the run in an extremely deep run heavy conference 3. If our running attacks performs at the level it did last year
1. We have to remain healthy 2. Greene's accuracy rises to at least low 60's% & increases passing & rushing production. Which we all certainly believe he will ball out this year. 3. LB's & DB's play on the level we believe they can. 4. WR's take a step forward to be more dependable and consistent in high demand games when its going to be a shootout and hit on big plays in big moments, to ensure we can remain a highly diversified & balanced offensive attack to reduce predictability. 5. Our running game remains dominant with an improved J White & healthy CJ, to maintain superior ToP taking more pressure & reps off our defense. 6. We have to remain healthy WVU has the talent, skillsets, & experience to make it to Dallas in despite of a brutal conference schedule, as I think this roster is still being under valued+rated... Utah, KState, & Kansas have far easier paths to Dallas, however WVU gets both Kansas & Kstate at home. Gotta win both of those games. If WVU drops a conference game or two, it cant be against an opponent in serious contention. They should be a bowl eligible team, but a game or two short of a Dallas showing. It would be helpful if WVU beats PSU, as that would help boost our rankings, in case there is a tie breaker our ranking could be the difference. So beating PSU could actually be the determining factor in WVU being one of the two. Tough draw for the Mountaineers this year, BUT.... if this team strains to maximize every minute to improve this offseason, if we do make it to Dallas, this will certainly be a hardened & tested team ready for CFP caliber competitive play. I wish Zach would have stayed one more year to be apart of this team and the success I believe they will have this year, if any Mountaineer deserved a special season, Zach surely does. Tho im just as happy for him to be playing just a few miles up the road, a quality org that will put him position to have a wonderful professional career. Moore has done a fantastic job building that OL room, and I believe this OL group will surprise a lot of people this year who think itll take a big step backwards. I believe its possible to recognize the unique abilities of Zach & Nester while also seeing this year group's potential/quality. While all the fans want to see a great season, and I do as well, but also for all the players who stuck it out the last few years, the tough years, exuded faith & loyalty, I hope their qualities are all well rewarded.
If you look at the guys that are going to start, they’re the most athletic bunch we’ve had in the Neal Brown era. On paper the D should be great. But we’ll see.
Great interview, Jed! I'm just glad WVU has a chance this year. It feels like a long time since we had any optimism as fans.
If Brown can be more cut-throat and decisive during games, WVU can take another step forward.
WVU be EFFORTING baby!! We Standing On BUSINESS!! LET'S GOOO MOUNTAINEERS!!

Zach is only 70 miles North of Morgantown and might appear at a couple games when the Steelers play at home on a Sunday.
YO awesome!! I check your profile every week... Keep it up :D
Let's go mountaineers I think we win the Big 12 this year even though we have one hell of a tough schedule.
Great interview. However, Jed, everyone else realized how out of position we were two years ago lol.

13-9
Fire Brown???? For who????
Jed bringing out the used car salesman vibes lol.
Süper
HaHaHaHaHa
Fire Neil Brown. I'm not buying anymore of his BULL!
Strongly disagree
You can't fire a head coach for coming off a 9 win season, retaining a majority of the players from last season, and recruiting well.
🤡
Fire Neal Brownspot
Why?
