    Subscribed for sure. really nice. I've been airbrushing for a living for 20 years now and it never ceases to amaze me how sometimes the simplest of methods and or techniques can get such realistic results. This wet on wet with air is fantastic.Thanks for sharing

    Sorry can you explain again what you use to dothis incredible color at 1:05 ? I would really like to produce a something like as a background for one of my art work. It s just incredible

    • @spraypaintartsecrets
      @spraypaintartsecrets  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dway'N, sure, no problem. The background is done with layers of blue, green and white acrylic paint mixed with windex and blown with the air from a compressor into the shapes you see. If you want more detail check out the "more videos" page on www.airbrushpaintingsecrets.com and get the full lesson package that explains each step. Basically the lacy patterns happen with the windex and the air together. Hope that helps.--Alisa

  • @AshSchultzArt
    @AshSchultzArt 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So you're just mixing regular acrylic paint with windex, spraying it down with an airbrush so it's thick and wet, then blasting it with the air to move it around to make the waves and such? Whats with the windex? I do spray paint art out on Fremont Street in Las Vegas so I'm really impressed with how you make the waves and such with this.

      I use regular acrylic paints mixed with windex. The airbrush you use is important. Some of them won't spray enough paint to work with.-Alisa

    I Wendy Yingtai Chen (username) can draw very well and I am very good with not showing off. In addition, for somebody who does not do that regularly, I can draw more challenging subjects without the need to cheat like them when they use airbrush painting etc. I do not need to use airbrush techniques which are easy and fake drawing (airbrushing with different colour paints) and showing off like crazy. Real drawing involves either using pencil, sketching, markers, painting with watercolour (but that person may not be able to draw well) or painting with acrylics.
    ****Airbrush artists are are very mean to use this secret technique to try to make other artists that actually have better skills appear to look bad. Even though airbrush painting may seem cool, it should not be used too often and can never replace real drawing even though those people may not be able to do fine arts not well or cannot draw.

      Wendy Chen I've been painting professionally for 35 years. I can paint things more detailed and realistic with a brush than most can with spray paints or airbrush. It would also take 50 times longer to complete. You, unfortunately, have completely missed the point of what artists like Allisa are trying to share. If a house painter uses a roller instead of a brush, or a fine artist uses acrylic instead of oil paints is that cheating? I consider Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell or even Bob Ross to be 100 times better than Van Gogh, but since beauty is in the eye of the beholder then it's all a matter of what appeals to the individual. When it comes to art there is no cheating. There is only different styles, different techniques and different mediums. I'm glad I learned to switch from acrylic on canvas to spray painting poster board. Now I incorporate both into my work and I love it.

      Wendy Chen "I like to make assumptions into the intentions and mentality of anyone who wants to give this technique a go so I can look down on them."

      +Wendy Chen Your comments are very bitter and hurtful... Every artist has right to choose the medium they prefer to create their work. At the end of the day the art is intended for the artist and those that enjoy it. If you don't then it wasn't meant for you. Jackson Pollock and Pablo Picasso both took great departures from the norm do you consider their work trivial? You attack airbrush and spray-paint artists because their technique is not the same as yours and you believe it to be easier. Art is not just about recreating life as it is. Art is about incorporating how you see the world and sharing it in a medium that can be view by others. I know many spray paint and airbrush artists who can freehand quite well without the use of stencils and that takes a lot of talent and practice. You do not have the right to discount their skill be cause the choose to use a Spray can instead of a pencil.
      You claim that artists like Alisa are showing off... I am glad she is showing off.. She is sharing her love of art and by doing that she is exposing many more people to that beautiful world. She is welcoming them in with open arms encouraging them to get out of their comfort zone and try something new.
      Your attitude says that only a select few are allowed in that world and you would restrict it even further. Based on your words alone I would much rather have Alisa as my guide.

      +Wendy Chen Wendy, if you were really any good you wouldn't be jealous of other painters who seem to get attention with ease. The fact that you're posting such comments as you are indicates that you aren't any good at all. You should get an airbrush or some spray paints and learn some better techniques.

    A number of those other men or women that do not know how to draw or else, take photographs with a camera and call it a painting or can only draw stick figures but meanwhile, should not be arrogantly excessively flaunting themselves in public to make a big profit.
    90% of the population cannot draw, do the most simple stick figure cartoons or stick figures and are not artistic. The other 10%, some may be able to draw or paint but at different abilities, are not the same level.

    So I was really impressed like many others and wanted to try your technique. But frankly, your website reminds me of those chessy TV ads geared towards retired grandma's, "...hurry, buy now and you get a free brush, if not satisfied I'll send you your money back". Those ads never work...

    Airbrushing or spraying paint with an expensive airbrush is cheating and misleading. Airbrush art is generally for really lazy people who have no talent in fine arts, and without higher level skills who have lower level skills. Airbrush painting is a technique that is similar to cheating. Even people who have no drawing skills can take a course on airbrush techniques and the entire AIRBRUSH AND SPECIAL AIRBRUSH PAINT WILL draw everything and create 90% of the detail for you. The entire airbrush and different colored paints and accessories will make the water, objects, waves, trees, mountains, animals, people, sky , unicorns, plants rocks, appear three dimensional and you hardly have to do anything.

      I think we can pretty much assume that you were a total failure using an airbrush....all you do is whine about how it does all the work for you. An airbrush is just a tool for making a mark, just like a pencil or a paintbrush--it all depends on the skill of the user as to what the end result is. It's not some magical device that transforms anybody into great artist.
