Just a suggestion to the over heating amps. I think you can splice a small desktop or laptop computer fan into the power line and tuck in behind the fairing.

I just had the Boom Audio installed on my 2015 Street Glide Special in less than a month one Lid Speaker Blew but under warranty, rode this weekend now the other Lid Blew OMG sounds great but they charged me 50.00 for labor unfortunately. I'm be taking it back in to get replaced but for just over 3000.00 Bucks I really can't recommend the Boom Audio
I've owned two J&M amps the 330W on my 2011 Limited and to 500W on my 2014 Streetglide Special. Both went in for repairs and when I got my 500W back the fan was rubbing and you could hear it when bike wasn't running. When I phoned John he said it wouldn't hurt anything. My response it shouldn't be rubbing and will eventually cause damage. My buddy install one at same time and his went in for repairs 2 months before mine. Sound was great, but service and longevity of equipment are really in question. I bought molded earbuds with speakers and sounds 10x better than any amp on the market. Anyone want to buy a 500watt amp lol

I have a 2014 CVO Ultra Limited with Boom Audio Stage 1. I think it’s a great system. So much so I just installed a Stage 2. Harman Kardon (aka JBL) makes these systems for Harley. With the millions of dollars 😬both these companies spend on R&D I just can’t imagine that small companies like J&M & Hogg Tunes can make better product. Harley/Harmon Kardon make quality products built to last. IMHO...
Keith K I agree. Hogtunes is horrible! I just bought a Rockford Fosgate amp & speakers for a 16 Roadglide Special & it sounds 10x’s better than Hogtunes & Harley’s stage 2.
I would just like to thank you guys for all your reviews and install videos!!! If it wasn't for your videos, I would have had to spend a lot of money at the dealer getting after market parts installed. Thank you for all you guys do...

I did had that happen to me while I was is South Dakota around sturgis rally. But all I had to do was let it rest by turning off the radio and then turn it on again after 5 minutes. Didnt happen again after that. I was at around 109 degrees
Thank you for his video. I'm considering an aftermarket, Stage 2 upgrade for my 15 Road Glide Special. I will definitely go with the J&M Rokkers after watching this. NO flashing and NO distortion have me sold. Amber Whiskey is a great color isn't it!

I was inches away from doing a Boom! Stage II setup on my new bike - Ultra Limited using the stock speaker locations - no bag lid speakers or speakers in the lowers. It wasn't apples to apples but I listened to a CVO Street Glide with the Stage II setup in the dealership and was really disappointed in the sound quality - same crap I experienced with my Stage I in my '14 Limited. Gotta turn the bass way down (-2 and lower) in order to avoid the distortion. I did some homework on the J&M setup ... I know a lot of the die-hards don't like either, they're confident they can setup something that sounds better for $500 but I'm pretty sure we all know that's not true. Anyway ... there's a couple of ways to hit the J&M, you can go without flashing the head unit or you CAN send it to J&M and have it flashed (can be done by a dealership if they've got the necessary software but many / most do not). Choosing to have it flashed will lower the output of the head unit and put all of the heavy lifting on the amp which J&M also configures properly for the setup - that's referred to as the "Stage 5". I'll post an update once I've got the bike back ... Moral of the story here is that I think this is an option you should share here as well.
The best I’ve ever heard is sinister sound speaker system look them up. There out of West Harrison, Ohio you won’t be upset when you buy them hands down the best
Ryan and I got a question for you, I have the stock Harley Davidson audio system on my Ultra Classic. A unique thing about my bike is I have United a states a Navy Senior Chief anchor speaker grill covers that I had custom made. I would like to keep the anchors but I’m looking for a pair of speakers that will allow me to do that. Will the J&M or the Boom stage to speakers allow me to do that? The anchors screw into the inside fairing speaker holes, then I placed the speakers in. It wasn’t easy but I made it work. Thanks.

Purchased a new street glide in January and went with stage 1 upgrade. After a few rides and never exceeding half volume the right speaker blew. Harley covered cost of speaker and labor so I decided to bump up to stage 2. After a brief period of time the speaker blew again. Taking it again this week to have problem checked out. If it wasn't for the dealer being so helpful I'd be steamed. If it happens again I'm definitely going to another system. Curious why you didn't include soundz customz? Heard great things

Great review, except for any mention of reliability. Just got CVO Limited out of winter storage and blown fairing speaker. Of course, out of warranty. Many comments about blown speakers online. I don't turn up volume or tone settings and Harley still gets more of my money. I could upgrade to Stage 2 since I am already out cost of one speaker and labor, but not going to do that when reviews on Harleys own website say they have blown within a couple years. Harley says 2 year warranty, but people finding that's only if you upgrade to Stage 2 at time of bike purchase. Only 1 year parts warranty. They are tricky devils aren't they? So bottom line, I dont care how great the sound is if its only for a year and they blow. Any long-term experience? Hogtunes says 20 year warranty?
People really need to listen to and talk with bikers who have done upgrades already. Spending the most money does not mean having the best system for you. Many times you can put a system together for half of the kit costs, if you can wire it yourself and don't need plug and play, etc.
2016 Street Glide Special.. I listened to the boom audio display, and the most expensive speakers they had I thought had way to much highs. But I liked the middle of the road speaker with tweeters attacched to speaker. sounds good, but I felt there was room for improvement.. guess I was use to Bose in my cars.. I didn't buy any additional speakers only replaced the two in fairing, I'm wondering if I upgrade to either lower fairing speakers or the bag speakers will it improve sound much???? any thoughts
Lower fairing speakers will improve sound to the rider. The bag speakers are behind you. They don't do much for rider sounds, but everyone else will hear your stereo better. Our suggestion would be to go with and amp and upgraded fairing speakers. Ride safe & Ride Often! I had a 2018 CVO street glide with a 6 speaker, 3 amp, boom 2 system. Extremely loud and awesome sound, however, I blew a saddlebag speaker within 9 days of owning the bike and after being replaced on warranty, blew it a second time in a fairly short time. Not sure what the issue was, maybe the amps overpowered their speakers? System itself, thumbs up, saddlebag speakers, thumbs down. Also on this video, I believe the price point was a 2 speaker system, when you go to 4 or 6, price goes WAY up. You could be pushing 2K real fast.

Ryan, I had the Stage Two Boom installed in my 2016 Roadglide. I have been back to the shop twice. Once for a blown speaker. Second time for sound quality issues. I'm still disappointed with the performance of this system. Once I start to roll, the system fades in and out. I've messed with it taking the volume speed feature on and off etc. Hands down the worst investment ever. I had plans to install the saddlebag speakers and amp at a later date. Unless HD can straighten out this problem, I'll be looking elsewhere for better options...I'm tired of taking my bike to the shop for issues that should be corrected the first time. Any ideals I could do to tweak this myself? If not, what do you think of Dragonfly?

VIDEO IS GREAT!!!!! First I watched this video. Then I purchased video on how to install the J&M Audio Rokker XX Extreme on 2014 and beyond. I have an 2015 FLHTK Limited. I purchased and watched your installation video. Then I purchased the Rokker Extreme 500w 4 spkr kit RXEK-500SP4_14UL I not sure if I' m the first one to install this system since you made the video, but the video was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this for anyone thinking about installing them, it made it easy. It took me 5 hours from start to finsh by myself. Use the tool configuration to remove speaker cabinet for sure as discribed in the video. After installing and turning the audio on WOW WOW WOW!!! The sound system sounds so great!!!!!! Can't wait to get off work today, so I can go riding( since I live in South Florida) and listen to the new sound system. By the way the 57th Daytona Bike Week was great also. Keep up the good work at law abiding biker, and again thanks to all who helped produce the videos. Keep up the great work.

Enjoyed the video, thanks. Thanks for not trying to crank tunes as part of the video, that's a waste. I'll probably go with HD, still want to hear reviews after some time of using it. HD S2 still has some poor reviews, but maybe getting better. My experience with J&M is no thank you!! Maybe they've figured out the bugs since I tried their install which did require a flash. Now no flash required, I suppose that's good, just beware of updates with your HD software. Most updates won't effect it, but HD is at liberty to make any software changes as they feel necessary and could disturb function of the head unit with aftermarket equipment. For the $100, I'll go with HD.
Hey Ryan, well I bit the bullet and went with Boom Audio Stage 2 on my 2014 CVO Ultra Limited. I figured since I already had Stage 1 might as well stick with it. The system sounds great until I'm at highway speeds then the treble & mid highs are almost unbearable. I've tried turning the treble to zero on the head unit and it helps some. Do you have any suggestions or will Harley come out with a software update for the equalizer so the highs and mids can be better adjusted? Keep up the great work on TH-cam!
Hello, I bought a 2017 ultra limited that the dealer upgraded with stage 2. The sound rocks, but when you move the fader around to hear each set of speakers individually the lower fairing speakers only put out mid range & high, no bass. They said that was normal. Your thoughts?
Yah, that's normal. Those are mid range speakers that put out little to no bass. You should hear decent highs and good mid range (vocals). Ride safe & Ride Often! Does the J&M allow for adding the saddlebag speakers later or would i have to get a new amp set up? I want to do my speakers and amp soon on my 18 SG but add in the saddlebags later. what would you guys suggest?

I got a used 2018 road glide special, it has Rockford front speakers and soundigital 4ch amp.. I am having issues with the Treble being just obnoxious and ear piercing even with Treble down all the way on the GT6.5. It's annoying and I thought it'd sound way better than it does
For me the selling point of the JM is not having to get it flashed. It's odd that the HD system has to get flashed. The software should be compatible off rip. I mean that's why some people would pick it. But again, I'm leaning more towards the JM. Thanks brother.
Great informative video for those whom have a 2014 and newer. I, on the other hand have a 2002 FLH. What would you recommend for that and would you have install videos for those recommendations?

Have a CVO Roadking 2013 FLHRSE5 with a Hopee fearing with 4 Jensen speakers (5"&6") 75w. Obviously they have been great, but just over the weekend I blew one of my saddlebag speakers so need to replace or hopefully upgrade my entire system. Can you advise on what would the best set up I can get for my bike being that its not only using the CVO set up but also the Jensen?
We've heard of experiences like this, but honestly we have been happy so far. Thanks for sharing the info. Others should consider this when purchasing.

Couple questions about amps my last amp install was over 25 years ago and I couldn't get rid of the frequency hum are the newer amp clear now? Second my 15 Roadglide standard has the shitty radio not the touchscreen can I amp that radio with one of these amps?

So how would you rate the Rockford Fosgate stage II in comparison to these? I know it requires a flash, and the kit is $1200+, and don't consider that an issue. I just want crisp, clear pink floyd at 85 mph with rhienhearts on
Trying to find out if there is a plug and play installation to add the rear amp in the saddlebag and 6x9's in place of the Harley rear set up and just have it flashed at Harley. Have stage 2 fronts in my fairing and don't feel the same is needed to add the rear if I can do it myself.
I have the J&M rocker system that I had installed at Daytona Bike week a few yrs ago. it def cranks and I also pulled off the sticker and adjusted the amp gains a bit as I have always had amp systems in all my vehicles and like it loud. the system is 2 yrs old and has held up very well. I have heard horror stories about this system after I purchased it with some people saying that J&M customer service suck, their amps suck blah blah blah but over all am happy with my system. thanks again for all your great videos and how is your new shop/studio coming along?
Ryan I’m getting ready to add a amp and replace my HD speakers and I want to add speakers in my lowers, I had a 2016 road glide ultra with cooling equipment in the lowers what are my options. Thanks Tim

I have a 2017 RG Ultra and I was wondering if it's worth it to upgrade my front & rear speakers without adding a amp? I'm not looking to win any audio competition, I just want to hear the stereo a little better at highway speeds. Also, will I need to re-flash the system if I only change the speakers?

Jim V yeh, I don’t understand his channel to be honest. You are on TH-cam. But I have to pay for install videos because he’s a biker that makes videos for bikers. But you push that on TH-cam. That’s his slogan. His logic doesn’t really jive IMO. His video angles are better. Lol
I have a harley 2015 FLHTK limited. I am thinking of purchasing rokker extreme 500w 4 spkr kit. RXEK-500SP4_14UL. Two speakers in batwing and two speakers in tour pak. I have Harley stock flash on my bike. I thought I would not need a flash if it is stock. But I am hearing that J&M needs to perform there flash for the front/rear fader control capabilities to work??? Is this true??
+Ryan Urlacher Thanks Ryan for clearing that up for me. Keep up the good work, you and your friends are doing a great job with the videos and podcast!!
The deal with JM needing a adjustment to the Harley radio on happen on SG and RG. Our boom system that is same as your does not have the rear out put speakers turned on. The way the jm system works is. They they plug into you factory output to speakers. It turns that high level signal into a low level RCA signal that plugs into amp. Then the amp has a factory type plug that goes back out to the speaker pods. You use the factory wires in the pods to attach to jm speakers. Add in a the power wire and your done. Front is pink rear is blue. Blue has nothing coming out of it unless you get radio update/ flash/ adjustment to 0 amp 4 speakers.

I purchased the Stage 1 speakers last summer and put them in myself. They have the tweeter that is enclosed by the grill. I didn't have the money for an amp at that time. I do want to purchase the Harley amp for my 14 Flhx this year. Would it be worth it with the speakers I installed or would I have to upgrade to the Stage 2 speakers? Thanks for any input, great video!
Two questions I have are the hogtunes that much better then stock without the amp and what model speakers do I need for front and rear installation on my ultra classic low 2016. Thanks
Any aftermarket speaker is better, to be honest. They can handle more power with distorting and are better made. I would refer you to the Hogtunes website for the correct speakers. I have come across a few people with HD Stage 2 Boom and they are having problems with volume "pulsating" during high volume levels of play, depending on the type of music. FWIW I have an '18 CVO with the full Boom Stage 2 setup (3 amps / six speakers) and I've ridden all day in high wind (meaning volume cranked up) with no volume pulsating or heat issues. The hottest weather I've ridden in has probably been mid 90s here in South Texas. I have to agree with Ryan, this system hits hard and plays loud. I have concerns on longevity but the bike is under warranty so hopefully any problems I might run into will be covered. I've not heard a J&M Rokker XX setup but have been doing a lot of research as my brother just bought a '17 RG Special. We did a custom install with Infinity Kappa speakers and a Candy Micro amplifier and it is a HUGE improvement over stock (and surprisingly no distortion at max volume - no flash change) but higher volume while retaining the audio quality would be nice.

Nice! Definitely better choices to save up for, for sure. What do you think about those handlebar sound systems, to get my man some tunes until I can get him a real system. Those are OK when sitting but my guess is the db output of sound will wash out on a ride, especially for me as the passenger. :) thanks

I have the Harley Boom Stage 2 what can you say about the clipping going in and out. This system was installed by a Harley Davidson Dealership..... I am very disappointed....
+Hector Montero Nothing he can say. Watch the JM videos. They have a boom all the way up and its in and out. I bought jM system. easy enough to install.

+Josh Calbert I found the best price for this stuff is Direct Cycle parts. And they will stand behind your purchase. But, if you're going to spend that kind of money, I'd go with HD. If you can install yourself, you're already saving a lot of $$.

@@rkksterbigd1 lol ... as soon as they send you some units so you can install them, make monetized videos and get paid? How about you unass some of that money you're making and install the systems?
I know your test is on the street glide and the road glide but there's a bunch of us that own the road king and other bikes like the heritage and deluxe that want info on a good set up for tunes. I installed a focal amp with kicker 6x9's in my bag lids and focal 6.5's in some lower fairings, and danm,, it is so loud even at high speeds there's no way I can set volume all the way up, my ears ring but I will say not much base out of my set up I'm not in to base so it will do for me if you want me to shoot you a video of it let me know.
Really informative vid bro....thanks for putting in the effort! It's hard to find a decent opinion out there and you're right....you can't tell shit with a computer that listening to microphones and drippy speakers. Great job!

Ryan, any information on how the systems sounded with speed of cycle? I have noticed once I reach around 50 mph it starts getting harder to hear. Maybe it's juat me? I have a hybrid setup with the Harley Stage 1 fairing speakers and the cycle sounds mini amp. I think I need to tune the amp further as I have had clippping when at near full volume.
+Ted Kinzer Head over to the following link Ted where my write up is and it explains that and more! www.lawabidingbiker.com/harleyaudiocomparison. You can hear at any speed with Boom, Cycle Sounds, and J&M.
+Ted Kinzer Ted you will need to adjust. I have that same unit. Running four speakers with the amp I have fine tuned it to have no issues. I am running the gain at 1/4 for front and rear and the frequency all the way to the left. The 6.5 speakers just cant handle the frequency more than that at 3/4 volume. The most I would run is 1/4 frequency dial. Rick from LAB.
+Rick "Big Daddy" Kane Gains should be set to match your head unit output. It will be different for every head unit out there. As for frequencies for a 6.5 speaker a high pass filter of 80hz is about standard. The amp used by cycle sounds really does not pack enough power to be heard at volume. They rebadged a NVX amp that sells for much less. This alone should steer you away. www.sonicelectronix.com/item_71776_NVX-MVPA1.html
+Ted Kinzer Thanks all for information. I am considering just going to the Harley Stage 2 Fairing setup based on my latest trip to the dealer. I added the Comm Dinn cable (to use witth LAB Boom Mic) and XM Satellite. FYI they both both work great but I was experiencing some unintended behavior with the Boom System. In talking to Harley, they told me, they may troubleshoot but noted the after market Amp (Cycle Sounds) may be causing issues. Given I have only had the bike for 9 months, I am ready to pull the Cycle Sounds Amp and just go with Harley Stage 2 Fairing setup. At least then I will be warranted, I can tell I will have to talk my way into the shop otherwise.
Thanks for the video. Would be curious to hear what you/other folks think of Biketronics amps/speaker kits. Also would be nice to get feedback on lid speakers across Hogtunes, J&M, Biketronics and Harley. Thanks again.
+Michael McGinniss We will continue to test new products as they come out for all different types of parts for bikes across the metric and Harley spectrum. So many projects and only so much time Michael. These are just the four systems we have tested so far. As we continue there will be more, but we have to balance it with other products. Big things coming at LAB. Can't say to much, but we are working with some good companies to keep the content coming. Rick from LAB.
+felipe carrillo Rick from LAB here. Felipe we haven't had any issues running the stock charging unit running just one amplifier. Now if you got with saddlebag speakers as well it is recommended by us. However you can always add the charging unit HD sells, but it is expensive. They recommended it for the stage 1 amp and four speakers I had, but I saw no issues without it. Hope that helps. Check out more free videos and our store front at www.lawabidingbiker.com
J&M gave me nothing but issues!! Horrible customer service too. Amps cut out, speakers cut out. Had to replace front amp once, rear amp twice. STILL had issues.
U MUST BE TALKIN ABOUT HARLEY'S JUNK CUZ J&M ONLY HAS ONE 330WATT AMP AND IT COVERS 2 SPEAKERS OR U CAN GET THE 500 WATT OR 630WATT AND THOSE TWO COVE 4 OR 6 SPEAKER SET UP.

I've heard boom system has had problems. Plus harley has told me if I install anything non Harley approved my warranty is voided. Has anyone else run into a problem with warranty at Harley?
+sokodad What warranty are they claiming it will effect? Per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act you're protected. They are giving you less than credible info. We have no problems at our HD dealership. They want to force you into them doing all the work at an expensive cost of course. Call them on that crap
I found Harley dealer about 200 miles away that'll work with me. Several of their own employees have aftermarket because they weren't pleased with boom system. A coworker put a boom system at our local dealership and he's getting popping through his speakers. I decided to go with a system that Soundz Customz is going to install for me.

Hi Buddy, yes I do like your video on upgrading the serous systems on HD’s original sound systems. What I would like to know of the cost of you sending one of the “stTop Two Systems” you recommended, I’m from down under in Ballarat, Victoria, 3350, Australia. Most times we get to see some truly TOP system Plug an Play stuff but more than not the shops tell us to go to “Your Harley Dealer” plus $$$$$$$ to get them to do it, Nah, I’m on a pension and top money is not what some of us can afford, So please could you give me the approximate amount to send over down here. I know first I have to add change over rates to first purchase the system I want plus us$ to aus$ then delivery to me plus $$. Hope you can help out Cheers Teddy. (2013 Triglide)
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Wanna talk about the WHIM? and what a scam BOOM Audio is? Why would a company create an attractive nuisance like that? The only way to conveniently use the Harley BOOM audio is without a helmet, even if you spend the extra $$ to use it with a headset it is still limited and will cost upwards of 1000.00 to get the stuff for it to "semi" work. Therefore, I, who have never ridden without a helmet am now encouraged to ride without a helmet so I can use the faulty limited scam equipment provided or spend a ton of $$ to make it work sub par. 1st Harley I ever owned. So far... not very impressed.
I don't know about the instructions about all of the systems but I installed the HogTunes myself and the instructions were spot on.
how do you like the sound especially the bass
@@timmauesby5294 The sound is crystal clear. Clean highs and excellent bass in my opinion.
Just a suggestion to the over heating amps. I think you can splice a small desktop or laptop computer fan into the power line and tuck in behind the fairing.
That's a great tip. Thanks for sharing it with the community. That's what this platform is all about.

Great info. Thank you for taking the time to share with the Law Abiding Biker community. This is what we need to hear.

Bird WolfPack Ridaz I've been looking at the Rockford Fosgate set too for my 2018 Road Glide... really surprised Ryan hasn't tested these yet.
I would just like to thank you guys for all your reviews and install videos!!! If it wasn't for your videos, I would have had to spend a lot of money at the dealer getting after market parts installed. Thank you for all you guys do...

I installed the Rockford Fosgate system and it’s friggin excellent
Jr Hunt does the Rockford Fosgate system sound good? I’m looking into putting it in my 2019 RG. Did you do the rear lid speakers as well?
Sounds great!! I didn’t do a second set of speakers yet.....im waiting to catch a good deal on lower front fairings first
Didn't see Arc audio in this comparison. Best system out there. Blows all that you reviewed away
If you have boom stage 2 you have to flash your boom radio for j&m amps. If you have boom stage 1 same thing
When it did work, it sounded great. The J&M amps can't take heat. If you're riding in hot weather, expect amps to cut out.......OFTEN.
You are most welcome. Check out our video on installing a J&M system. gumroad.com/l/jandm
Yes, amber whiskey is a great color. I'm partial to it.

Have you looked into Soundz?? I know the price point is pretty high.
The best I’ve ever heard is sinister sound speaker system look them up. There out of West Harrison, Ohio you won’t be upset when you buy them hands down the best
They should send us and system to test. We'd love to look at it.
Thanks.
I honestly don't know. Sorry!

Got a pic? Hooyah Crazy 8's!!
We are only limited by time and money on what we can put out. We simply only did four systems up front. There are others out there. These were the four most requested. We'll be doing others in the future, so make sure your subscribed so you know.

Many times you can put a system together for half of the kit costs, if you can wire it yourself and don't need plug and play, etc.
yah, we've done a bunch around her. Each has it's differences in sound and install etc.

Ryan I have the J & M and they just don't hold up One of mine blew out already .

We haven't experienced this with the Boom Stage II system we have. Sorry to hear that bro. If you dump the HD, we suggest J&M.

Hello, I have the HD stage 2 Boom Audio system thinking of upgrading the speakers to Hog Tunes Gen 4 speakers will this work? Thank's
Hector. We've never tried it. It would be problematic since the HD system is plug and play. You'd have to figure out the wiring for speaker hook up.

+Rick Molina Awesome Rick and thanks for taking the time to shout out. We have had many bikers around the world install that system now with the help of the video. Super stoked the video was useful and that you are up and running. Rock on!

Awesome and super stoked the video was helpful. Thanks for weighing in and commenting.
Would like to see some newer bikes like 2019 j&m audio install
No Rockford Fosgate...? Would have rounded out the options presented in the video nicely.

Does the J&M allow for adding the saddlebag speakers later or would i have to get a new amp set up? I want to do my speakers and amp soon on my 18 SG but add in the saddlebags later. what would you guys suggest?

Any review of Sinister Sound?
Do you need to hook up the hogtunes amp to the battery or is there a power supply in the fairing for it?
You're nest off to hook it to the battery with an inline fuse.

Help Please. If I have an aftermarket head unit (Pioneer) do I have to flash the system if I change any other components? TYVM

Great informative video for those whom have a 2014 and newer. I, on the other hand have a 2002 FLH. What would you recommend for that and would you have install videos for those recommendations?

How do these systems work with tour pac rear speakers
I have a 4.3 do these all work with this system?
yes
Have a CVO Roadking 2013 FLHRSE5 with a Hopee fearing with 4 Jensen speakers (5"&6") 75w. Obviously they have been great, but just over the weekend I blew one of my saddlebag speakers so need to replace or hopefully upgrade my entire system. Can you advise on what would the best set up I can get for my bike being that its not only using the CVO set up but also the Jensen?
Glad you're not having issues. I know others that have the same complaint.
Customer Service is the WORST. Dropped well over 2k........what a bust.
We've heard of experiences like this, but honestly we have been happy so far. Thanks for sharing the info. Others should consider this when purchasing.
Man, that really sucks...... ;-(
I got the rockford fosgate stage 3! Pretty nice!!!
are all these speakers that come with these kits "weather proof" like the stock HD ones????
Yes, they are.

I'm looking at adding one of these (Rockford Fosgate) kits to mine, just wish there was more videos and reviews on them.
What are those switches for on the street glide seat?
its a heated seat.
Yup, heated seat
Couple questions about amps my last amp install was over 25 years ago and I couldn't get rid of the frequency hum are the newer amp clear now?
Second my 15 Roadglide standard has the shitty radio not the touchscreen can I amp that radio with one of these amps?
No hum from there amps. They were all clear in that aspect. You can put an amp on either head unit.

So how would you rate the Rockford Fosgate stage II in comparison to these? I know it requires a flash, and the kit is $1200+, and don't consider that an issue. I just want crisp, clear pink floyd at 85 mph with rhienhearts on
We did a Rockford Fosgate Podcast episode and install video ==> www.lawabidingbiker.com/?s=rockford
Trying to find out if there is a plug and play installation to add the rear amp in the saddlebag and 6x9's in place of the Harley rear set up and just have it flashed at Harley. Have stage 2 fronts in my fairing and don't feel the same is needed to add the rear if I can do it myself.
Hi. Thanks for all the info. I just bought a boom audio front speaker and amp for a st glide 2013, is the install the same as the newer once? Thanks
Great video. Can you tell me if this is compatible with a 2019 RGS FLTRXS please?
What about the new Hog Tunes “Wild Boar” amp and speakers that just came out? Or have you tried them yet?
Not yet
I have the J&M rocker system that I had installed at Daytona Bike week a few yrs ago. it def cranks and I also pulled off the sticker and adjusted the amp gains a bit as I have always had amp systems in all my vehicles and like it loud. the system is 2 yrs old and has held up very well. I have heard horror stories about this system after I purchased it with some people saying that J&M customer service suck, their amps suck blah blah blah but over all am happy with my system. thanks again for all your great videos and how is your new shop/studio coming along?
Thanks for the input and long term testing of the system. Appreciated. Yah, I love mine too. Still holding up strong.
Ryan I’m getting ready to add a amp and replace my HD speakers and I want to add speakers in my lowers, I had a 2016 road glide ultra with cooling equipment in the lowers what are my options.
Thanks
Tim

Ryan Urlacher I travel on mine so I usually need that space but I’m fixing to do my stock speaker first.
I did a Rockford Fosgate pbr 300x2 amplifier with a pair of polk audio db 651's on a 2015 streetglide..I'll put it up against anything you tried.
Sounds cool. Enjoy your system!
Sinister so you're THAT guy? Oh yeah! Mines better than anything you've got.

Jim V that comes with a flash USB too. I just ordered mine. My Road Glide 2020 speakers are bad.
+Rick Molina Our understanding is that no flash is require with the J&M system. They found a workaround.

What highway pegs/bracket do you use? I went with HD's and it sucks! Took it off after the screws kept stripping.
+Vanilla Gorilla Hey there, thanks for watching. Those are just Kuryakyn ISO foot pegs. I can't remember, but that is just a foot peg clamp. Not a ton of adjustment, but works for me.

:) thanks

How do these compare to MMat amp and speakers
I have the Harley Boom Stage 2 what can you say about the clipping going in and out. This system was installed by a Harley Davidson Dealership..... I am very disappointed....
+Hector Montero Nothing he can say. Watch the JM videos. They have a boom all the way up and its in and out. I bought jM system. easy enough to install.
Trying to figure out where you found the rokker system for around 850? the amp is 600 and 400 for speakers not including wire harness ect
+Josh Calbert You can get it using our Amazon Affiliate link: www.lawabidingbiker.com/amazon OR our Revzilla Affiliate Link: www.lawabidingbiker.com/revzilla. Prices vary from time to time. Thanks for your support!
Thanks Ryan i am interested in this system but over a grand is steep
+Josh Calbert J&M Audio offers price reductions periodically, 15-20% off, if you're not in a hurry....
+Josh Calbert I found the best price for this stuff is Direct Cycle parts. And they will stand behind your purchase. But, if you're going to spend that kind of money, I'd go with HD. If you can install yourself, you're already saving a lot of $$.
+Josh Calbert Direct Cycle has it for $699. Eastern Performance will match(where I got mine from).
can you put a yamaha 650 stereo on harley
Hey guys I've been doing a lot of research out there on what audio systems different companies are putting out and I was wondering if you guys have had any experience or have heard good things about the new Rockford Fosgate audio system kit they just came out with this year for the 2015+ roadglides?

+Ted Kinzer you should really consider a brand not in this video. The packages from Biketronics or Sound Customz are far superior.
+Rick "Big Daddy" Kane thanks so much. Great stuff

x2 on the Biketronics
how can fix the discharge battery problem whit the sound system
+felipe carrillo Rick from LAB here. Felipe we haven't had any issues running the stock charging unit running just one amplifier. Now if you got with saddlebag speakers as well it is recommended by us. However you can always add the charging unit HD sells, but it is expensive. They recommended it for the stage 1 amp and four speakers I had, but I saw no issues without it. Hope that helps. Check out more free videos and our store front at www.lawabidingbiker.com
Rick "Big Daddy" Kane thanks..
Thanks for the video brother......I support

J&M gave me nothing but issues!! Horrible customer service too. Amps cut out, speakers cut out. Had to replace front amp once, rear amp twice. STILL had issues.
Man that sucks Luther. No problems on our end. thanks for sharing.
U MUST BE TALKIN ABOUT HARLEY'S JUNK CUZ J&M ONLY HAS ONE 330WATT AMP AND IT COVERS 2 SPEAKERS OR U CAN GET THE 500 WATT OR 630WATT AND THOSE TWO COVE 4 OR 6 SPEAKER SET UP.
what if I already have the stage 2 speakers without the Harley amp, can I install the rocker amp and still use the stage 2 Harley speakers?
I suppose you could. I would suggest confirming that with J&M before you purchase.

Stats on watts and THD would be good to know.
Warranty they said it'd effect is the head unit. They said I'd lose my warranty on my head unit in dash.
Thanks Ryan.
U betcha

How do these systems compare to the Rockford Fosgate system anyone?
Was wondering the same thing
We installed a Rockford Fosgate system too. It's good and we reviewed it on a podcast. We made an install video. It sounds good. Less bass than some. Depends on what you like. ==> www.lawabidingbiker.com/?s=rockford

We don't sell the actual components. We do have a for purchase video to show you how to properly install.
Man there's SO much better out there than these mediocre systems, for about the same price, maybe cheaper in some cases.
+Kevin bla bla Boom is a nightmare right now. I got Rokker xxx. No flas required and it awesome
Hi sir, are the speakers interchangeable meaning can I run alpine front speakers with the Rokker system or only there stuff?
I believe you can run what you want. I'd say for the best sound I'd run their setup as they've been tested together for sound etc....
