Love this! My mom was a quilter and my dad a woodworker so I'm really fond of this idea. Also my mom could have told you everything that was happening in our lives while working on a particular quilt as you will always remember what you were going through as you were working on the repetition of attaching the boards. Much love to you. Big hearts are easily broken but don't change a thing❤

Smile my lady, you are not alone. Kindred people and I have had the same sad result when I thought I was helping a "new friend" . Got burned financially and emotionally. Now I am not helping anyone. I direct people to a professional who can lend them aid/support, guidance .
I took a long time to heal. Now, I am only dealing with me, myself and i. We are all very happy. 😂.

Brilliant! First time I've seen quilt pattern wood art, you definitely did a smashing job on this. The crisp lines sure set it off, I'm not much a fan of chalk paint, yet I see clear coat does make it more durable. 👍🏼👍🏼

Hi Twitch, your story broke my heart, I am so sorry you had to go the that.
I helped someone out once, I got badly heart so did my family , police where involved everything it was awful, I have a huge heart like you always willing to help others , unfortunately I always end up getting hurt , it does make it hard to get close to people.
On another note , I absolutely love this piece you did an amazing job as usual.
I am new to doing furniture, I haven’t got the confidence yet but I will get there 😂.

Awesome, beautiful, piece! Great tricks you shared as well. So sorry you had to experience that in your life. I believe you are an empath, but you probably know that already. Unfortunately us empaths can be totally absorbed up by a certain personality type. In fact they search us out. Since we not only give them sympathy, we give them our empathy, they feed off it. Which can be taken and used, manipulated, and about run you ragged. They even like that energy, which can be a real control issue for them. Glad the tyes are broken.
Also, I have done the same thing as you on my projects with the darn sprayer!!

I'm not sure as of yet but I am reducing my asking price on finished pieces these days due to the economy. A lot of people are struggling with the rental crisis and cost of living going through the roof so I'm having to lower my prices to keep pieces moving

Particle board on the drawer sides no wonder that was so extra heavy. Bondo was a clever fix. Try acupuncture it has worked miracles for me. The results were incredible! You lost some pride and confidence in your ability to assess who to trust when that shouldn’t be the focus. You dared to go where others wouldn’t and you got out of it in time🫶
Side note: Nothing ticks me off more than when the mistakes made are the ones that I knew better🤬 Nice to see I’m not the only one
