While buying parts has never been easier, with resources such as ‎@amazon have dominated auto parts sales, this has also lead to a major issue.
The posts may not be honest.
Now before someone gets upset, I'm not blaming the point of sales sights.
When parts are sold on Amazon or ‎@Walmart websites, they aren't the seller. they are just a website for people to post their products.
Now the benefit is if you buy something like Kicker speakers off Amazon, you could be buying them directly from Kicker without the markup. In many cases this means you still receive the maker warranties on top of Amazon's support.

why are we here?
Sometimes, when you buy parts off these sights, the sellers aren't honest or aren't aware that the part might actually not fit your vehicle.
nearly every manufacturer out there has done half year changes to vehicles, so you end up needing parts for a 2004.5 but 2004 won't fit.
I found this out the hard way on my 2005 dodge dually when buying U-joints, when I ordered U-joints and they were the wrong size, and I ended up in a parts store where they had to read each and every part description. This mean I needed to know I needed U-joints for a 2005 dodge 3500 dually cummins rear wheel drive long bed specifically with a split shaft.
well shoot. if you only own 1 vehicle, you might know all that in your head. But the average person either doesn't know because they simple don't know or they own multiple toys.
so you need to inspect your parts.
this includes wiring connections, size, shape, each part.
