I discovered backward walking a little while ago, watching an older man in the park.
It is Amazing ! I do it daily, as part of my walk. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing!
I include backward walking and enjoyed the info that explain why it is effective. Your channel has great info for an aging population. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome . Thanks for the very useful info Sir. Appreciate it.
Thank you. I'm now walking backwards daily without touching anything for several minutes. I'm 86 yrs.
If you are afraid to walk backwards. One thing I do is walk away from a mirror. That way I can see ware I am going. I like doing this in mirrored studios at the YMCA. I also follow lines on basketball courts or in parking lots. I also do it along counters and walls.
This is a great suggestion. Thanks
Love your suggestion, I’m definitely going to try this…
I think that for credibility it is important to use older people in the illustrations. I've seen so many videos aimed at older people that use demonstrators who look in their twenties and I've thought to myself, "Yes, it was much easier back then."
❤
Totally Agree.
Well Said🎉
Thanks for sharing And God 💕🙏❤️❣️ Bless U Dr Doug ❤️❤️💕🙏
Appreciate very much your advice and presentation FJB
Just seeing this for first time. I started doing this about 2 years ago after coming across an article listing several benefits from doing this. I there were at least 8 or 9 benefits listed. I was having stiff back issues when I woke up in the morning. The would go away as the day went on. After learning to do this, little awkward at first, I found I no longer had back issues in the morning. Turns out I had developed poof posture over the years. One issue was anterior pelvic tilt. That put stress on my back. Now my overall posture is way better. Balance is better. Can even do deep squats.
thats great.
I suspect that was meant to be "poor posture" but good point and well taken!
Very helpful! I do most of these daily. A NY suggestions how to walk 'better' with a genu valgum right knee? I do seated Pilates and Yoga and some standing as well. Staying strong but 79 now. Help! :-)
72 yo. I'm going to try this! Thank you!!!! ❤
