Love the videos. My son and I just ran this on Wednesday 3/6. The entire trail was a hot mess including the "improved" section at the top. There has been a lot of recent heavy rain and it has washed out lots of areas and exposed some huge rock. The large trucks have dug ruts deep enough to swallow most stock vehicles. Lucky we didn't run into anyone coming the other direction because it would be very difficult to back up any distance and there aren't many areas wide enough to pull off.

The wife and I did a trail ride yesterday on the CanAm Outlander (which was a blast because full size rigs wouldn't have made it due to gate closures, but 50 inches or less gates were open) anyway you could see where people had gotten stuck and cut down trees for traction and left all their tow strap boxes on the ground :(

I appreciate you taking us through the whole run with your rig. I also like how you explain what you're doing at each point that may put your stock vehicle to its limits. I'm currently running a stock height truck so it's good to see how you're handling it and what I may be in for if I try that trail.

I really enjoy watching your channel and appreciate the time you spend explaining different aspects of trails. My wife and I are just getting into it and we are from Kansas so overlanding isn’t a big thing. Other channels the guys are so over the top so for beginners it’s hard to relate when they have everything money can buy for overlanding lol. So keep making the great videos and we will watch!!!

@@SirWilliamGoes It was a good trip, definitely worth checking out. I didn't get to explore the area as much as I wanted. Mostly smooth fs roads that I was finding, so when I came across a little mud with a bit of a ledge climb out I had to attempt it. Bottomed out hard on my 2nd attempt and took about an hour to get out so that put me a little behind on checking out other areas. Plus at that point I was just ready to find a place to set up, start a fire, have a drink, and get steaks on the grill.

I enjoyed the video, great advice to take it slow and easy and preserve the trails . I have a new Raptor and don’t want to scratch or “pinstripe” the sides , is the trail wide enough to go out there and not scratch up the truck ?

    • @SirWilliamGoes

Thanks man ! I agree , I’m having to stick with forest service roads and gravel roads like Old 105. I’m looking into getting something that I don’t have to worry about striping since I enjoying getting off the pavement and want to explore all the great trails in NC.

I just bought a 2019 trd off road taco and went today . Super fun. It’s brand new so I didn’t make the whole trail as there was one particularly rutted out spot w good size rocks that I was not comfortable scraping up a $40k truck 😬
