I found a bunch of tutorials that directed me to install WSL from the terminal, others from the app store... None of them worked. Then I came across one that instructed me to disable features, delete the paging file... I almost thought about formatting, man! Later on, you install Ubuntu on your own from the Windows store. That was the solution. Thank you very much. I hate formatting my computer; it takes me weeks because I'm also a music producer. Greetings from Colombia.

Thanks! A point missing in the video is to check "Virtual Machine Platform" in the 'Turn Windows features on or off' setting (the MS link in the error wasn't very helpful but chatgpt helped me solve the problem).

I had small glitch in installation for my Dell Inspiron, Error " Virtualization" not enabled in BIOS.
Resolution :
> in RUN -> optionalfeatures -> Check "Virtual Machine Platform" and Enable Virtualization manual via BIOS setup

mmm.... I just tested, it's not working on my Window11 home laptop. As i'm digging, WSL is required HyperV which is not provided to home version user. (or maybe there is the other work around? would be very helpful if there is.... mine just have "WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x80370102" kept coming out...)
