I think I have made it through all your videos now Gly. I really like where the channel is now and the direction it continues to head. You and Mr. M make a great team, good chemistry. Randy seems like a very nice guy as well. Looking forward to more shnoz work on some vertical shafts. Keep up the good work.
Awesome, to Decline twin in one, this is a first, plus drifts. Humor eases fear, keep up the cool work. Frank; the mole man. Frank does it again, hits bottom with a drift. Both ways? The right side a winze and also Stope into a big room, wow and goes further up, nice. Left, lets go. IN spite of the two decline shafts, the slow go, it was cool to see this completed, been blessed.
Great video again, it's Frank's fault. The plumbers crack is epic. Pretty colors, too short. Loved the rail going down that was funny. Be careful of those bucktooth barking spiders, they are real popular in Arizona.
Awesome inclined shafts. Might be an adit up at the top of those ladders by the ore chute. Lots of fun - It"s Beer:30 now !!! Thanks for the great tour and video !!!
I worked at a gold mine in central BC. Black dome mine. We had stopes Adits, Declines, Raises, and Drifts. Jack leg and stopper show. And one mini two boom jumbo. “Gly”: When he was 20 he worked at a steel plant bending steel all day with his bare hands. Then on the weekends he worked at the railroad pushing in rail spikes with his thumb’s. It’s a damn good thing Frank never meet John Henry because the song would be completely different.
Thanks for this neat explore, Gly and Frank! But why would they have two inclines right next to each other? One for ore, the other for man access? Or what? Or did they realize late that the one on the left was blasted out so badly that they couldn't set up the rails properly, so they drilled the one on the right better? Any ideas? And remember: it may be that out in space no one can hear you scream, but in a good echoey hard rock mine, EVERYONE can hear you fart!😁👍👍❤️❤️
"Gly": The later part of your comment is so very true! Lol I'm still having a hard time guessing as to why they dropped in two inclined shafts side by side like that. The best reason I could come up with was efficiency. Instead of one, you could have two crews working side by side removing twice the ore as well as maintaining a pillar between the two shafts for safety. "Doc", if your reading this, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Abandoned and Forgotten Places Thinking about it: the first incline was mostly stripped of rails except for those badly bent and unconnected ones lower down. Maybe they had a major breakdown in the first one but were solvent enough financially to drive the second one, salvaging some of the rails from the first? Thinking more...what makes the most sense: they drove the first incline and were hauling good ore out via that crosscut to the stoped areas, then had a catastrophic failure of the rail system on the lower section, so they started the second incline going upward from the crosscut (much easier), maybe through low-grade ore (no stoping above there) that defrayed the cost somewhat, hauling it out via the intact upper section of the first incline, then, when the second was finished, pulled the intact rail from the first incline and left the destroyed rails where they were, and continued to mine the good ore (which does not seem to have been real extensive). Maybe. I too would like to see what 'Doc' thinks about it. Anxiously waiting the next videos! 👍❤️
