Marcus, this short video makes perfect sense and has completely changed the way I think about beginning the swing. It really puts a different perspective on the 1, 2, 3 sequence. I’m sure it’s different for everyone, but this is one of those ah ha moment’s for me. Never thought of it as “swinging “ the club back but it really makes sense. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Marcus excellent video i have found myself getting too stuck with being connected with the arms that it has become robotic and not fluid. I needed to see this to get that feel of letting the club fling through and reducing the tension in the arms!
Nicklaus starts his swing with a slight lateral shift to get the club moving back. Just enough without having to lift with the arms. If you look at his videos you will see this but it’s very subtle.
Could be my EUREKA MOMENT!!! I always feel stuck, unable to sling the club to the top. No TIME in my golf swing. The subtle move of separating the humerus from the rib cage may be the answer. will try ASAP. Brilliant
Yo Mac😄 Would u describe your grip as "neutral"?..bc i didn't used my wrist before, and it turn into kinda strong grip to close the face. Now when u have teach me to release, I hook the ball like crazy😅 trying a neutral grip now, feels so wierd, and feels like the club is open in the backsving..but probably is the right thing and just need to keep doing it. Hard to tell as its snow and I can't hit a ball to see where it goes lol. Cheers mate
