❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to officially join BTS on January 12, 2013, (exactly only 6 months before BTS debuted), being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!!

The only "soft and emotional" before this one was always Serendipity. Filter and Lie aren't soft at all. And in the FACE that's only Alone... it's y'all's perception of Jimin, not what he actually does.
@@lightefilit for me, Lie is emotional one, it'sreally stir my emotion when hear it. Filter is not strong type of song like set me free pt2. I mentioned about "strong type of song" which is Jimin never do that kind of song before. He often do soft and emotional one. U can see, among his FACE album, only set me free pt 2 is has strong concept while the other is more soft, emotional and laid back. Or, maybe u have different values about strong type of song, but that is our personal differences to values about "strong" and nothing wrong about that. Coz everyone have different mind n taste to values and sees about something.
@@miyuryuu7260 first of all, all of Jimin's songs are emotional, especially Set Me Free. If he didn't have emotions in his songs, he wouldn't be a good singer/artist. Delivering various emotions with his songs is literally Jimin's SPECIALITY.
Secondly, we definitely won't see an eye to eye with the definitions here. Generally, for most people, "soft" are the song that sound mellow, sweet and almost quiet (with less instruments event). Songs like Serendipity, Promise, Letter or even Alone (kinda) could be named as softer. But Lie is big, dramatic, intense, while Filter is sexy and energetic. Face Off cannot be called soft with either its sound, or the subject matter. It's literally an angry song, even more than Set Me Free.
So, as I said, before Set Me Free only Serendipity (and Promise, but it was not an "official" release) was a soft song from him.
For you, it seems that "soft" is any sound that doesn't have heavy drums in it 😂

The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, which aside from the two main choreographers, he had a hand in, offering suggestions, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production, even the set design of the MV. Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released last yr on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Jimin’s other songs “Face-Off”, “Alone”, as well as hidden track “Letter” are all equally amazing! Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! I agree wholeheartedly with you for Nesto to start from the beginning AND to definitely watch American Hustle. I didn’t care for the first episode when they were “kidnapped” and just think someone made faulty assumption that fear and intimidation was a good idea. It presented a stereotypical first meeting of both African Americans and Asians. And despite that awful first meeting the series introduced the members to a vibrant history of hip hop music and the African American community. I’m inspired by you Grandma and may we continue to support newcomers to this vibrant and diverse ARMY COMMUNITY. 💟

This was 100% new. 0.0 I am like stunned. Shoock really. Go Jimin!!! No one but Anitra @saywhatreacts and Rosan @xCeleste has mentioned he used some aspects of Lie choreo in his new song. And ON vibes for sure. ON inspo. Heard this was the last song in his 1st album Face. Like dang! 0.0 So glad u loved it. =0} So much symbolism too. So deep. I adored the dance practice! Oh my gosh. Some choreo reminded me of Jackson Wang song called Blow. The more i watch the more i find things i did not notice on the 1st watch. The body tat German poem is beautiful and very fitting. Heard Sienna Lalau worked on this choreo with a team. UCLA choir was used again. They use them all the time on songs. The spiral/ the golden ratio, shell, 9, metaphors used as usual. The moon series of tats on his back is real. His Nevermind tat on his ribs is real and his 13 tat on his wrist is real too. The German poem on his chest tat was temporary. Jimin also has a 7 tat bet. his fingers on one hand. He has young forever tat above his elbows and youth behind his ear. But we did not see these in this MV. But showing his tats is another sign to us and himself that he is free. I suggest u check DG @DGReacts reaction to the song. He breaks it down really well. Jimin is the 2nd main dancer in BTS after Jhope. Jimin is contemporary dance trained and hip hop too. He is also a martial artist and creates his own style of dance that is really captivating to watch. Jimin has my fav vocal. I adore his voice. His an angel! =0] I suggest u watch the behind the scenes for this and dance practice too. This song is from his 1st solo album and it's a reflection of how he felt during the pandemic. Being apart from the fans really hurt him. Jimin is very kind, caring and sweet guy. He suffered a lot mentally like the others during the pandemic. They were supposed to have toured for the last time and than enlisted. But all of that got changed because of covid. Jimin is the charmer of the group. He is attractive to men and women. I think the dancers in black could represent the doubts, fears and lack of confidence that he suffered at the start. And the autotune voice represents that angry, frustrated inner voice.

I think this is directed inward. He used to be weighed down by trying to be manly enough, good enough, worrying about what others thought and was crazy hard on himself. So happy that he’s at peace and comfortable with who he is. He’s such a beautiful artist. 💜

Jimin loves art and you definitely can see it in his MVs the maze is actually representing the Fibonacci sequence, he loves double meanings and art and is a mathematical genius so you never know what's coming at you, I find him so interesting and love his mind boggling perceptions of things.the poem and surroundings represents a prison but where everyone can see you but you can't see them, thus their color of clothing etc..then at the end his in white so his set free..his entire album is great.

In my, of course, unbiased opinion this is the best debut among the guys, and that is saying something given how much I truly love Indigo and Jack in the Box. People were floored when they saw JHope's More. It was surprising in a way but also so on brand for JHope. Jimin, well. He has been painted as this polite, funny, and charming guy and I believe those are all true, but he has a soul of an artist. People are thrown off by the auto-tune which is used as an effect to show his inner dialog and opinions from others that have caged him. His response to these things is his singing/rapping voice in a register many have not experienced. I can't think of many that have taken so much hatred. It is now his time to shine and be fully and authentically himself. I am so excited for the album and his live performance on Jimmy Fallon's show.

Jimin sings "set me free" 9 times in each chorus. 9 usually represents fulfilment (e.g. of a cycle) and symbolises awakening and inner wisdom gained through life experiences and struggles.
The dancers' spiral is the Fibonacci spiral. It is found throughout nature and, put simply, represents our ever evolving journey in life.

Love this song 🔥. Jimin does typically have a softer tone but obviously he's versatile lol. For that softer vibe, you could check out Serendipity or Promise. You'll ascend. His voice is angelic.
As for how to move forward, I think its important to do what you'll enjoy doing. That being said, personally, i think it would be best to learn the group (through music, the guide, hardships, etc.) first then explore their solo or throw in a solo now & then. You'll appreciate them as artists more once you learn more about them and the hardwork they have put in the group. Plus, (besides the music) learning about the group & what they've been through is what makes ppl love them. The Taylor Guide & Hardships video by Celeste (2021 updated ver) will be good to watch when you're ready. Ultimately, its your choice though. We want you to enjoy your journey too 💜.
