Like Crazy is about him trying to escape reality through alcoholism and partying, pretending he’s fine when he really isn’t. I wouldn’t say this song was romantic lmao, it’s pretty depressing to me at least. I read the lyrics as him talking to alcohol, asking it to give him a good night and to keep him away from the morning (reality). “The moon embraces you, let me have a taste” “I feel so alive wasting time” - basically him spending his nights getting hammered and feeling unproductive.
I really don’t get how some army are reading Like crazy as some sexy song 💀 I mean, his tone and the track definitely has that sensuality to it but the lyrics always make me sad lol. Especially that last bit of the song that goes “this will break me… no don’t you wake me” - like, the dude is going down a destructive path but he feels as though it’s better than facing reality. Jimin and the rest of Bts already have plenty of sexy and romantic songs lmao

I saw some say that it's a sex song, they automatically connected "ride you" with sex so Jimin is singing about f***ing. That couldn't be further than the truth when he himself explained his own emotions during pandemic. It's pretty upsetting that even in his documentary he took to his car to be alone to try to experience those negative emotions to get into the same emotion to sing but they're out there claiming it's about F'ing.

The lyrics are suggestive, but it's primarily a song about escapism. There's room for interpretation, but even with the suggestive lines about being "drenched" all night so morning gets drunk and doesn't come, "give me a good ride," and "let me have a taste" I think he's talking about alcohol, haha sorry, I can't quite give you this one. But I do think they're intentionally suggestive and could also mean getting lost in sex/someone as well as getting lost in alcohol.
During the pandemic Jimin felt very isolated and started drinking too much, Keep me drenched all night means keep passing the liquor, please. He tried to numb the pain however he could given the circumstances. Suga was very worried about him and spoke to him frequently. His entire album FACE which this song features on, is about him dealing with his feelings/depression. Does he really look romantic drinking excessively, hiding in the bathroom and coming home feeling dirty and exhausted, while someone whispers 'Home again. What's the point' ? Whatever Jimin's message here is, it still is a Banger and his most popular song to date.

♦️Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” he watched during pandemic, inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even uses excerpt wordings, with voice over actors using dialogue more in tune with song, from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe, since dirt or mud means despair, that was what all the dirty grimyness including on his hands in the end, also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.

If you listen to his whole album FACE there is a story telling all the feelings he felt during that time. Anger from a Break up from people close to him (face off), start of the depression (interlude:Dive), escapism (like crazy), realisation and facing his depression (Alone) and finally fighting to save himself (set me free pt2).
There are many interpretations for the mud, but to me it seems to be the symbolisation of his problems, the hand which grabbed his hand pulled him in the dream (maybe Jimin's dream/or wish to live like an ordinary guy for at least one day, have fun, meet people... but he is still alone in the middle of the crowd) , but in the reality his problems are still there irl (mud in the kitchen) .

❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to officially join BTS on January 12, 2013, (exactly only 6 months before BTS debuted), being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! I totally know what you mean ... Until you learn what it really expresses. I agree it seems to be about a sexual relationship, but when you consider the parallels between sexual obsession and alcohol dependency ... not so much. Perhaps the trouble is that no one can look at Jimin and see past his beauty. Perhaps that's always going to get in the way
There is a deeper meaning but it certainly isn't towards ARMY. If you're ever seen the movie Like Crazy you'll understand Jimin got a lot of the inspiration from there for the lyric etc. It's basically about wanting to like in this dream world / fantasy world and ignore the real issues you're going through, Jimin loves reading and movies etc so it's not surprising he would use them as am escape like this ( i do the same). Jimin when through a hard time with the pandemic his whole album is actually about that and this song is part of the album so yeah.

This depicts a dream like state(the blurred feeling) in which Jimin sees himself trying escape his pain by going to the club partying and drinking where he temporarily forgets his problems and have a good time. He ultimately doesn't find what he's looking for there and knowing he'll wake up to reality and ends up alone again with his pain in the end. I also see it as him hurting from the pain of the end of a relationship, him missing the one he loves, and he'd rather stay in the dream where he hasthe love he wants, no pain, no worries and he doesn't want anyone to wake him, it will break him, he wants the dream to go on. In the end though, the dream does end, reality hits, he's alone and the pain is back. In Set Me Free he realize he cannot live like that and must let the hurt and pain go and set himself free from all his problems. This whole album is a story of what he went through. He's still not completely over it, but he's getting better. I love it because he showed us a very vulnerable side of himself and it very relatable as we all go through hurt at one time or the other.

I think this is an incredible song, and it makes me feel so sad for Jimin. It is introspective as hell.
You can just tell that he was depressed when writing this ( well, that is how it has struck me anyway), he wants the better times of the past and it feels that those times will never happen again. Not sure if that is an accurate assessment, but that was my interpretation anyway when I first heard it.

I think it's definitely about partying hard in all ways *😉* during the pandemic but eventually snapping out of it because it didn't really meet whatever issue he was really trying to fix.

Lol well yes there's a deeper meaning but it's right there in the video 😅 he is talking about being in a dark place and having alcohol as an escape.. like I get why you would think of a romantic relationship or at least a carnal one hahaha but nope this is about you escaping your reality.. to be intoxicated to be able to stay in this state of euphoria (thats why the dark mud coming everywhere in the video, is like the toxic reality leaking through what would be your perfect dream).

It is so much more than a simple romantic song. It's about escapism, about wanting to stay in a comfortable and known place, even if it's not healthy. It's about knowing it's time to go and yet wanting to stay there a little bit more.
Jimin is actually desqusing his relationship with alcohol as a love story. he said so himself but not all is comfortable talking about having a problem and need help Jimin wrote a song about it to move on. he don´t have the issue anymore and it´s not like a big problem, so he had to quit drinking all togehter.
he is just controling it more now. the members know about it too and suga also had the same issue in the past they are very open about their weakness. he went through a depression but he is all better now.

don't let some armys convince you that everything bts do is about their love for fans etc! dont get me wrong, they often express their gratitude and we love it but they definitely also write (especially in their solo projects) a lot about their personal experiences, relationships, problems etc and like crazy is absolutely one of those songs. it's kinda annoying that some armys refuse to look at their lyrics objectively and overanalyse everything all the time...

I’m giving you one. (Might be unpopular but…) The lines you’re picking up on mean exactly what they sound like they mean. It’s not exclusively autobiographical even as it’s referencing him frustrated during the pandemic after BTS having to cancel their world tour. He spun out a bit. This is, at least, an artistic representation of how he was feeling.

He actually started writing this song inspired by the movie like crazy which is a romantic movie. He's also talking about how he dealt with the pandemic as well by drinking and partying and such
