- Crown Victoria WHEEL / TIRE FITMENT ... This will give you a idea on what to do IF you want to rims on your Crown Victoria... This is NOT a great ( on point how to ) but this will get you going to see what you can or WANT to do on your Crown vic.. 17 inch rims, 18 inch rims 19 inch rims and 20 inch rims..
Factory 19 in brembo wheels, 275 40 19 with one inch spacers on 01 towncar fit good

I found this really helpful because iv been stressing getting 18in wheels on my 04’merc. This broke it down nicely. You got the wheels sucked right and sitting out to the spot right where I want mine !

Some cool ideas man. Great pics too. Also I hadn't considered cutting the springs. Always heard it was a terrible idea because it made the ride quality horrible but I also know that it's all a matter of opinion. Probably some new shocks would counteract that a little. Worth considering. I'd really like my front to be a hair shorter to give it some rake. Give it that muscle look.

tahnk for that Harrison ... if i was you i would do 1 coil and half in the front to get that rake you speak of... it will not harm the ride CRAZY, there will be a difference though... Its all about the time to do and get the parts to assist this..if you get some new shocks then cut a coil and i half
I put 2013 Chevrolet Caprive PPV Police steel rims on my Vic with 1.5 inch spacers and laughed so hard that the local Express Tire Engineers "tech" said there's no way I can have them without the 3 inch lift spacer cups on the suspension. Meanwhile the specs are 235/50/R18 and I'm seeing all these videos of the same specs with no lift/spacers. Gotta love these places.
People go by word of mouth... YOU went out and tried it ( sink or swim ) and you proved them wrong... Thats what I kinda do here on this channel... Things can be done with low budget and can be pretty cool.. With stock parts from other brands.. People dont see the vision..

I have to agree the simple Mustang set-up is best, but many like to go there with wheel combo and such... Simple is best in many cases Kevin..

I just installed 18 inch American racing wheels on my marauder. They were left overs from my 96 cobra. 245 45 18s. Might do 10mm spacers in the back to give her a staggered look.

Nice video, bigger isnt better when it throws off the aesthetics of the vehicle imo. The 20" 30 wall tires are about the biggest i like but that 2011 looks even better with more meat on the sidewalls.
yeah FOR ME i need meat on the side walls... For the bumps and the ride feel.. for me i max out at 19 cause of my driving style and i live in nj.... the roads are beat to $hit around here Apex lol
That slammed one with the wheel lip is the look im going for. And i want it bagged. Also, if you follow ADTR Performance, they are coming out with a bolt-on air ride kit. Firestone airbags, ridetech tank, compressors, and remote.
I know you like that style i like them all... I would thug mine out and have stay like that ( with coilovers ) if i had my way... One day brother...ADTR they are the go to fo the parts, but for the TUNE its Mos speed shop 100%

@@maxie9506 their stuff is high quality, I have the KYB Strut and Shock upgrade, front and rear sway bar upgrade, billet watts link and stud, and metco billet rear control arms and lemme tell you it's a total game changer. You will shock people in corners and scare your friends without breaking a sweat. This is all on my 08 CVPI that also has full exhaust with flowmasters an intake and tune.

I like the stock suspension look. I have a 97 GM and I’m on munroe shocks in the rear (anyone ever had to put the nut on top of a rear shock on a p71)
1998-2002 and your style had that issue with the rear shock ( whales ) the Aeros man i know the guys that have those go through it with that rear shock top nut
BST Ford Channel it was the biggest pain in the butt. A lot of people just run the shock through there without putting the nut on.
So me and my dad had to use a coat hanger and some grease to make the nut hold in place, and I got under the car and screwed the nut on by turning the actual shock. Did it on both sides. Biggest pain ever bro
@@carnationvideos4258 man thats a new one you and your dad did..I seen people cut a hole ... they took rear seat out then cut a hole right where the shock is covered by a sheet metal ( I like that style ), but your dad ways seem slicker though good job

But in later models you can change the shocks without even jacking the car up
I was just having a similar discussion in the comments section of my Marquis Bullitt wheels video (not sure if you saw it) but he was asking if he could fit those 18x10s in the front... I basically said you gotta test fit to see if you rub when turning... don't see any other way.
I seen the video i watched a few times for support , you can fit any rim BUT you have to customize it in some kind of way to make it fit ( li how you want ).. You told him correct TEST FIT I changed the tire on mine... these rims had low pros ( which looked great on the Maverick ) but the crown it needed more meat
I just installed 20x8.5/10 American muscle AMR's. They fit perfect with a 1 inch drop.

NO, you need to measure first and ensure you buy the proper rims once.
That is best way or just copy and paste other that did the work ( like many have done ) but its best to do it how you mentioned it
I just change mines from stock to mustang bullit rims 235/5517 same size n all but the handling changes completely, the main thang here is that the tires need to be RADIAL !, and gotta be balance

honestly those rims are good enough UNTIL you have a SOLID plan... If you are uncertain well just go for what you have ( it will best ) $hit no money spent you are good Sean
I buy cheapo ugly used then you can get a good idea of what you want and take measurements for proper backspacing.
As a heads up....
2002 and up explorer wheels fit perfectly.
Gen one edge wheels work ( they came with the Alcoa 22's that go for 1000.00 a rim used from the sports and platinum )
I think most w body gm ( Impala , Gran Prix , Buicks ) wheels fit.
Dodge charger wheels work( yes that means the cool euro srt wheels bolt up ).

YouSlow I would say 2000 and up.
start with 2004 and up, 2004 is the last with the cable throttle 05 and up have the drive by wire......if you see a 2003 for a great price that doable to... try to get one with no more than 110k tops if you can.. spend no more than 2k and lower for the car ( if you can ) it all depends on miles and who had the car

The newest one with the lowest miles.
But, what ever you do. Avoid any with disabled rear doors, unless you want it, it is a major pain in the ass to find a install parts.

Sorry for the late response. I'm trying to see how big I can go on a stock suspension with factory air-ride shocks in the rear. I already have wheel adapters installed on my Grand Marq, because I think these cars look better with a wider stance. If I'm successful in putting on a large set of rims on factory air-ride suspension, I might just post a video myself.

I have 18x10 all around no spacers. your front may need a inch to give it a little look. you have to buy the wheels first some cases you have to lower the car 2 inches to get that look

2001 will poke out you do have the play around with and figure what will work.... this part of the game is tire sizes and back spacing...Man I can say its tough cause is like you have to lower or raise the car and then start there..

235's and they are sticking out past the fender. If you had the proper rims you could fit a 285 and the tire would be inside the fender.

which rim nare you working with? We normally go with a Mustang rim set-up New Edge or The last oval shape Foxbody sn95.. Thats a great starting point ths why you see a lot of Mustang rims on vics

the front rim backspacing is key not the tire Big Kris...You have to mimic the 2005 mustang back spacing

@@krownvikkhris3004 Thats where the tech aspect of wheel fitment comes in... Natural most from wheels are further out than the rear...Thats to track better so you have to find that look look and get it right... You have to figure that back spacing with some wheels... Very important

Town car fitment would be way different right? I lovr thise pictures of the vic you showed. There's not much going on in the town car side.of the panther platform. I have an 01, i guess I should've went with a vic/marq instead.
I will do one on the Lincoln... I have one also so I must check and see what is out there again it depends on the look.. I will get to that one for ya LamboChaser.. You picked a good ride , its more info on the Vic and Marquis cause they are the same car body wise .. Again you made a good choice
Lambochaser I'm in the same boat got a TC also I can tell you what don't fit forget looking at mustang stock rims because the offset will not work for our cars. What I recommend doing is watching some videos on wheel fitment there are videos out there that explain back spacing and offset. I can tell you on my 2000 TC back spacing is just about 4.5 inches which leaves about 2'' of clearance in the rear between the tire and frame not a lot. So if you go wider your going to have to try and keep the back spacing very close to the factory spacing. Which means you have to move the rim out by the amount your adding to the width of the rim. Stocks are 7'' which means they are 8'' lip to lip on the rim. There is too much to explain here but watch some videos try to educate your self on back spacing offset ect than you can measure up and just buy one set of rims that fits right and not mess with spacers measure twice and buy rims once.

@@damiancuevas4202 It's a 2000. I've read from guys with 275/45/19's and they say there's no rubbing. There a video showing a guy installing an ADTR front sway bar on his race Vic. He shows how much clearance he has after putting the bar in - no rubbing.at all.

those olde suspentions where tough cause the cars sat a bit lower... it will it but that rear may be a issue depending on the back spacing and rea end sag ( plus tire size )

it all depends on the look you want.. I dont know if you like wide rims thats 9 or 10 inch wide... I dont know if you like deep dish or flush..So many ways to do this... Do like 17 or 18 or 19 or 20 inch rims

Hey man I have a 99 crown Vic. Came stock with 16 inch 6.5 wide rims. Now I got a new set of 07 mustang billets 17 inch 8 wide.i need spacers I tried on the back and they rub idk exactly what size spacer I'd need what do u with I was thinking at least 1.5 all around??
on that model you can even put on 05 Crown vic rims on ( on the rear ) its narrow hits the rear lowr arms .. So you may need 2 inch spacers but semi measure what you may need. The fronts may rum on that upper ball joint thing .. so you need to measure maybe the 1.5 will work also.. Yiu have to put on and take off wheels a lot to get the right combo
@@bstfordchannel923 yeah I think I have it figured out it's a 99 crown Vic I have 2007 mustang GT rims they bolt on obviously the right bolt pattern but the offset is too much and they're too deep the wheels rub the wheel well inside so with the + 50 mm 2in spacers in the back and the one and a half inch spacers in the front it should be perfect in the back will be nice and wide it's going to look dope.I didn't go the cheap way and get eBay sheedy spaces either I shelled out the money for h&r hub-centric spacers that are real quality

yes but the 2004 car normally had the flat face looking ones they will fit, but will be very ugly looking without hubcaps ( tp me ) I have a 04 with 08 rims

yeah thats a challenge i am going to do vid on 22-up rims.. Not a fan of the froggy style with big rims ( thats flagrant foul ).The back spacing is the key you need to know the back spacing

@@bstfordchannel923 I want the new police steel wheels in my Vic because they still have that police look and I can fit a bigger brake kit in in but I am second guessing myself because I have seen other brake kits that work great with the CVPI's stock

I got lucky with a set of 19 inch alloys off Craigslist. 150 bucks for the rims and another 400 in tires. My shits different front n back to. Goodyear 285/35 19x10 on the rear and Continental 245/35 19x9 on the front. I got no clue what the offset is. Its kinda half assed, not really what I wanted either but it works and looks decent. No wheels spacers and no scrubbing. There's photos of my 03 interceptor on Instagram. If you'd like check it out my page is called auto_archaeology

@@bstfordchannel923Hell yeah man these are great cars they got me hooked. Mine has rust and dents it's no show car. Like all my rides one side looks mint the other not so much. It's a dailydriver. So I’m doing 19x10 in the back and 19x9 in the front was wondering if I need spacers (they’re American muscle saleen style mustang rims) really need to know if they will work
its about the back spacing ( depending on your look) you are after.. You will waste a few $$ on spacers to get it right ( sometimes even tires ) make sue you have cool tires shop to assist you Damon... ( this wheel and tire game ) is all trial and error
BST Ford Channel are you running spacers in your front? I used to work at a tire shop so I got the size I need to keep stock diameter just need to know if I’m gonna hit everything when turning. if you’re not running them I’ll probably be okay (thanks for the reply man!

@@bstfordchannel923 not lowered stock suspension. Maybe 245/45 or 255/45??? Drive in the city mostly maybe 255 to help protech the rims from curbing as they are im really good shape. Also not going staggered I want all tires same size.
