    Two Thoughts:
    1. You play beautifully!
    2. I can't imagine what a nightmare it was getting that piano in that room.

      So I was curious on that question too and asked my piano teacher and she said you can take off the wheels on the bottom of most pianos and roll it on its side.

    This is (in my opinion) EXACTLY how this piece should be played - full of expression and perfect examples of rubato in key moments. I have started re-learning this piece again and when i finally have it mastered i hope it won't be a million miles away from this version. Bravo!

    Breathtaking. I remember being proud when my piano teacher said I nailed the balance between my left and right rands in the first movement, and that was after 10 years of lessons. The pedal work and dynamics in this performance are absolutely insane for a piece that’s so complex.

    • @Fanchen

      I’d say there was a little too much rubato in some sections, and tempo variations. Beethoven is most of the time metronomic, with little stretches of time here and there for musical inflection. But it’s definitely not as flexible as Chopin. The tempo in this performance was great, but there were many tempi throughout.

    Beethoven was a genius who revolutionized music and brought it into a new era. He represents the crossroads between the classical and romantic musical eras. While the notes here are relatively simple to play the tempo is grueling and requires hours of practice to coordinate the finger movements with the rapid timing. This is a performance I would show as an example to musicians wanting to master this movement. Magnicficent!

    I finished learning all of the notes to this months ago, and I still cannot fathom how one can play it this well. This is the best playthrough of this piece on youtube, hands down!

    One of the most pulsating pieces in the piano repertoire rendered with stunning clarity. I can't help but imagine it reflecting the crescendo and diminuendo in Beethoven's psyche.

    More impressive than her quick hands is that she used no sheet for this piece. Amazing memory! Also I love that she is not tired before playing for 5-6 minutes.

    • @arc175
      @arc175 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Not using sheet , isn't that hard. I mean if you practice a lot (She did for sure) you keep every single note in mind. Nevertheless a really good interpretation Of this piece

      Tbh I like playing by ear I’m pretty terrible even though I should be better but I legit can’t read sheet music easily it’s too hard.

      I am 16 and have been working on this piece for the past year for my recital that is next week. I can say from experience that the memory is definitely not the most challenging part. The amount of technique used in this piece is astounding and the memory just comes naturally witht the amount of practice needed to perform this piece.

    • @minh-khanguyen7209
      @minh-khanguyen7209 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Payton Evans It’s definitely the advanced technique that presents the most difficulty. The muscle memory happens by itself as you practice - you don’t really need to put effort into memorizing a piece for that reason

      Aramovies // Aram Isaac nah, not really... this actually looks pretty easy compared to hard Chopin or Liszt pieces... I don't think you can play everything after this but you can play everything after mastering Chopin or sth

      Xavi Ricardos and now i'm back a year later listening for another hour! but you probably spend hours on end everyday on your phone or watching tv or writing rude comments or something else pointless, so watching a beautiful and inspiring video is hardly sad compared to that, no? the only sad thing here is your hypocrisy
