As beginner I have been using Onyx, with 1 Kabutops and 1 Pidgeot as my most consistente deck, had no idea Brock was so 'bad' but it may be because I have yet to draw a Misty whom I am tired of seeing personally. I will keep rolling for a second Kabutops to improve upon this. As Pidgey sometimes screws me if I start with it over Onyx. Good stuff.
And more likely we'll get a *new* (likely Colorless) Onix for the set. Having steelix giving you metal energy and Onix giving you fighting (and needing 3) would suck
I get the concept, it's great for people who can't get an EX or bad luck. However, Sandslash is better value at 2 energy for 70. Even though Onix is a basic and can be drawn, the extra turn to energy to hit for 70 is really bad.
Well it's basically 2 shrew/slash vs 2 onix/brock downside of Slash is you have to draw it and with Kabuto line you already have 8 dead draws until you draw the fossil. If you're stuck tanking with Shrew you're probably screwed. Double Kang maybe a Meowth would probably function better.
I think this deck in its current iteration is one of the few situations where you should cut a Poke Ball card. You are guaranteed to have only one basic stage pokemon left in the deck which means that at least one of your poke ball cards will always be a dud. The advantage of having two is of course that you are more likely to draw it but it may be worth considering replacing one for an X speed or other item
16:31 i also fought an opponent that used a dragonite deck but their strategy was to use 2 snorlax as a wall. They ended up losing because all they got was water energy😂
In shadowverse they balanced first and second with evolve point, second can evolve first with having 3 evolve points and first can set up first because they have more play point kinda thing, this makes pokemon less complicated but yet make first significantly worse than second
Frankly im with that one commenter who at around the 11 minute mark said that about not being able to put energy on turn one is just not good/feels weird. You should be able to put on an energy but just have it be so you cant attack on turn one, like in the actual card game. The not being able to attach energy doesn't make any sense to me.
Not sure if it's a bug but there is a way around it with a water deck and Misty. Then as long as you get enough energy you get to attack. It should be no attack at all but one energy on turn one.
I made a very high winrate Gengar deck (at least for me in 50 plus duels with it) maybe you wanna try it and if it’s good you could showcase it. 2x gengar line (2x EX gengar and another normal Gengar) 1x hypno line 1x Mewtu EX (use it as support to tank or to revenge kill or just straight solowin the game) 1x mewtu normal (this is the gamechanger, useing it to buy just enough time and can be retreated with just 2 energy) 2x potion 2x X speed 2x pokeball 2x Professor 1x Sabrina having the 1 price point gengar, hypno and mewtu makes it so much smoother when it comes to losing points. anyway I go and watch the end of your video cheers
@ it feels strong against all decks, weezing is simply by nature a decent counter but I won against most weezing decks anyway. I played like 200 or more games with gengar and always changed decks around, this one feels the best if played right, it’s not straight forward, has a little bit of a learning curve. I even won against misty articuno Deck that got first turn 2 misty heads on their articuno, but basic mewtu and potion bought me just enough time to set a gengar and win. If you hide behind normal mewtu and the enemy is setting up, you can setup mewtu ex, gengar and hypno which is almost unbearable lategame
Absolutely everybody is sleeping on the promo Mankey in Rock decks. Him doing 10 damage to himself on attack is a *huge* buff for Primeape - if you go second and have both in hand, you now have a guaranteed 130 total damage out the door by round two. It's the perfect complimentary pair for literally any Rock deck I've thrown them in.
I don’t care for the cuts during the plays; makes it ever so harder to follow the game. e.g. you had a Onix do 100 to Kangastan but cut the Giovanni card going down. I guess it speeds up the games a little tho, so maybe it depends on what kind of audience you’re going for. Thanks for sharing your content!
Anything Pokemon related is going to make money come on man, this game will continue to improve, the real life card game is to complicated imo this will be nice when more cards are available and maybe a change to the energy system is needed.
Kabutops needs a stage 2 to evolve. He is the stage 3. Why do so many youtubers get this wrong? Charmander=basic/stage 1 Charmeleon=Stage 2 Charizard=Stage 3
Because if you played the game you'd know it goes basic, stage 1, and stage 2. Not sure why it's labelled that way but it's been that way since the beginning so he and other TH-camrs got it right...

the real deck is really not that great you were very lucky to fall against beginners who don't have a deck built.or that they had nothing on their bench in your fights, Onix requires too much energy to play and is very slow to set up.

I feel like Onyx and Brock will really shine once we get Steelix. Can't imagine that ramping a Steelix will ever be bad or underwhelming.
And more likely we'll get a *new* (likely Colorless) Onix for the set. Having steelix giving you metal energy and Onix giving you fighting (and needing 3) would suck
You said you don't know if this is going to make it. It made over $10 million after the first full day of release. I think it's gonna make it 😅

Yeah I agree unless you run another basic mon like Meowth or Kang
Agreed. I'd rather have another Gio to help 2 hit those Mewtwo more often
You can see all the upcoming promo cards if you go look at their counterparts and scroll down

How do you get the new promos ?
Honestly i cook with this deck. It has a solid pace and damage
energie should have less chance every turn to be the same energie like 5050 first after 40 60 after 30 70 going up up for the switch
I see youve also had a bad time trying to get energy while playing a dragonite deck lol they do need to tweak the ratios for generating energy.
why 2 pokeballs when you get 1 onyx for sure when game start?
Yeah I do that, I don’t play mobile games for long, so always looking for something new
My only deck is the Brock deck, the only time its failed me is when i make a mistake or the game screws me on my pulls.
Do you even need pokeball in fossil decks since you always start with 1 basic at the start of every battle?
Any idea when Ranked will come?
U always start with onix with this deck
Would love dark mode.
I made a very high winrate Gengar deck (at least for me in 50 plus duels with it) maybe you wanna try it and if it’s good you could showcase it.
2x gengar line (2x EX gengar and another normal Gengar)
1x hypno line
1x Mewtu EX (use it as support to tank or to revenge kill or just straight solowin the game)
1x mewtu normal (this is the gamechanger, useing it to buy just enough time and can be retreated with just 2 energy)
2x potion
2x X speed
2x pokeball
2x Professor
1x Sabrina
having the 1 price point gengar, hypno and mewtu makes it so much smoother when it comes to losing points.
anyway I go and watch the end of your video cheers
U need so much energies to put your mons to play idk how are u winning
@ hypno and normal mewtu cost zero energy, normal gengar cost 1 energy
Idk, man. I feel like an early Weezing is a giant threat to this deck.

tattoos look sick!!!

"Crush everything" is very different from being a "B tier" deck. Clickbait headline fr
The poke balls are unnecessary here, i think one is enough.
Atm there's no too good deck to play. Only luck what's make you win. I barely miss play here not like in Yu-Gi-Oh
More pack openings pls
He already has every card sadly
Turn 1 should be able to apply energy, but not attack. That feels way more balanced.
u got less than me and im f2p. sounds like u got scammed

70 power for 3 energy is an awful return. Pair that with 4 retreat cost and onyx is just awful
I have never played a more skilless and luck based card game in my life. This is so bad. But opening packs is fun i guess
This format would actually be pretty interesting if we had no Ex pokemon
I agree the rng in battles is absolutely stupid it’s 99% luck atm and people don’t seem to have a problem with that which is crazy
