@@lstaceyt No, they do get a point. However, the good thing about Fossil/Old Amber compared to a basic is that you can discard it for free at any point during your turn and your opponent won't get a point for it. It also has no elemental weakness. Additionally, since it's not a basic, you won't draw it off Pokeball, making it far more likely for Pokeball to actually find the basic you want.

At 22:43, you should've sent out the Kangaskhan instead of the Haunter, since the Pickachu can't 1-shot it. You can then put a second energy on the Kangaskhan and use your X-speed to retreat it afterwards. Edit: Unless he just happens to have Giovanni, that is. That's a calculated gamble I'd be willing to take. Edit 2: Since you got lucky in drawing the Gengar right away here, your opponent wouldn't have been able to play Giovanni anyway.
I love this deck so much and gengar ex is actually my first rare card I pulled in this game. But I just think I’m too competitive in such games to play decks like this and it’s absolutely killing me. Like it’s actually pretty fun games you played in the video, but it’s sooo high rolling top decking experience like sabrinas in only one way out time two games in a row, and so unlucky topdecks like the second opponent with none of two charmeleons in like 16 cards or something. Pretty much really high roll deck, and with my luck I just can’t afford it. Actually all meta decks need highroll in this game, like misty on articuno or fire energy from maltres, but like I tryna play the most anticoinflip decks with most winrate possible. Cause i’m like super tilting of unlucky and looses, but I really wished to just have fun of decks and cards, but like when you going 0/11 win rate because of coin flips and gold fish topdecks for opponents it’s really hard to me to have fun. But again, I really like the concept of this deck and gengar and having fun. Just not for me because of my mentality I guess. Thanks for the video, really appreciate it. And sorry if my English is bad, not my native language, i’m from Ukraine but I tried my best. Wish all of you guys no tails)
The game is super casual at the moment because who wins is 80% luck. Pikachu is the only deck that doesn’t heavily rely on luck and steamrolls any other deck that has a bad start. Mewtwo is a close second that doesn’t rely on coinflips but you still need to set up a Gardevoir.
Hey bro, try Weezing and Pidgeot with no Sabrina and Ex Speed. It has no coin flips and has multiple paths to victory. It only loses when you get really unlucky
I run a very similar deck with Meowth instead of Kanga for the draw power and consistency to get into Gengar a bit faster, and I'm loving it. Gengar was the first rare I pulled, and it is so much fun to play.
Great stuff man, it'd be cool to see you on a colorless deck. Hope they add super ball or ways to get access to 1st/2nd stage evos. Was playing Kabutops-Machamp today to force Machamp on curve but briks do happen. They should probably change EX pokemon being considered a basic mon so you dont get an Articuno from a pokeball or the initial/guaranteed draw.
You may have already figured it out by the time you read this, but you can get a closer look at your opponents’ cards by tapping and holding instead of just tapping on them! Referring to 20:04
Gengar is my favourite and I build many decks around him, it’s the most fun to make him work because it’s not the most consistent, but there are actually many ways, like weezing, hypno, meowth, actual Aerodactyl or like here khangaskan. I do think double Sabrina feels mandatory for gengar to use the first to stall 1 turn and then the second to get an easy kill, because gengar damage is not the best. I also use triple gengar and I call the standard gengar the emergency Gengar (plan B)
Playing 2 sabrina could be good to stall, people gust up random pokemon to set opponents back a turn or a crucial energy, i personally would play this along with fossils to pivot or stall.
The first part of the video promotes the deck as crazy good but the next part is basically winning with deck Sabrinas with opponent incredible bad luck. Creative deck though, at least those who drew Gengars instead of Mewtwos have something decent to play
I'm missing one kangaskhan and Gengar ex so I put Drowzee and Hypno. It's not consistent but boy is it funny to get a few sleep turns in a row with Hypno sitting comfortable in the bench

@@sharksguai5265That could actually work but it's just the fact that you need to have the same color and amount of energy as needed to the copied skill. I like red card for bouncing their second stage mons or early stall. If someone hasn't evolved in a few turns and top decks the first stage, it's a safe bet they've been stuck for awhile. If they put energy on a basic they just played, I assume they're evolving next turn. It's def situational but can be amazing
This deck excels because people play slow and bad decks. Against agression, i dont at all think this deck is strong. Many play like 8+ trainers and several stage 2 cards.. i use mostly basic/stage 1 that attcak with mostly 1-2 energies. This kind of decks just falls apart in front of it. I dont think aerodactyl melds best with gengar at all. Aerodactyl is mon2 and usually starts working at turn 3-4. Too slow for winning big tournaments against competent players. Makes for great highlight reels though.
as you know im a huge dragonite supporter and when i only had a copy of koga I played a fossil card so i could pivot easily and it actually worked pretty good ngl

Yeah i guess he was just really lucky to draw haunter there lmao, the editing cut just messed up our brains lol
Red card is just a bad card, it helps the opponent 2/3 of the times. If a card is useful you are going to play it immediately, if you still have it in the hand it's because you are stuck. 3 cards are still better than 5 cards in a stuck hand.
I like red card for bouncing their second stage mons or early stall. If someone hasn't evolved in a few turns and top decks the first stage, it's a safe bet they've been stuck for awhile. If they put energy on a basic they just played, I assume they're evolving next turn. It's def situational but can be amazing
Oh no the weird build names
Damn Gengar acually brings Views😂
Lolol
I got the gengar ex 2star and still haven't pulled a haunter 😭
pack points might be the move
Lemme see the charizard amber tech!!!
I tried and it did not feel as fluid will need more time to test
to this day i still cant pull a single serena. bs.
Sabrina save the day
Top decks of the century
Is chansey ok?
You can't apply any pressure with Chansey at 3 energy for attack. Not very good.
Not the best currently. Maybe with blissey next set
Show this to mogwai lol
Kangoo sux use canarticho is better own all t1
Dude stop twirling the coin ur ruining ur flip chances 😂
I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’m flipping it like normal
What’s the point of the fossil? Why not just put in the kangaskan your main threat is Gengar anyways who cares if the kan dies
Honestly this deck is trash
