This was a really strong series. Yes it had some faults but generally speaking the writing and acting were so good it remains a treat to watch after all this time. It really had it all - a wide imaginative range, human interest, supernatural intrigue, effective music and a fine presenter/director. One of the best TV shows for sure.

These series are very smart & beyond my expectations. Given these are the early years of series creations, I am astonished by the intellectual rigour that goes in to the scripts.

She was in an episode of “Columbo”. She played the wife of a political candidate who murdered his political advisor. Again, she played the role of a frustrated wife who believed her husband was having an affair with his secretary…. And he was. Jackie Cooper played the part of the husband and political candidate who says someone is out to kill him.

Thumbs up and . . . i'll take your word for now on the claim of documentation of these events. Could the documents in many cases be simply *television scripts* written for this show ??? TV scripts are after all "documents." In a dramatic sense what good would these programs be if they couldn't give us at least the illusion of factual reality ??? Think about it. Or not.

The experiment with the rows of vegetables, I remember that. There was another similar one with house plants. One the people caring for them talk to them and sang and played soothing music. Just like the vegetable rows, the same people took care of the second group of house plants exactly the same way except they didn't talk to the plants at all, no music. Just came in and fed and watered and made sure they got the same sun exposure as the first. You guessed it. The group that got the talking, music, and singing flourished. The second group didn't wither but measurably didn't thrive as well as the plants with all the positive attention.

She did a Twilight Zone episode, THE PASSERS BY..set in the Civil War. Joanne Linville is really gifted, with range, power and serious 'chops'. I have watched her over the years in so many things. Another OSB, THE DEAD PART OF THE HOUSE, I think is the title.. And BUS STOP - I Kiss Your Shadow (the banned episode?) with George Grizzard. She doesn't chew the scenery the way she does here, but it is quite powerful all the same...Of course the Star Trek episode, where she plays a Romulan Captain. She did an interview with Connie Martin Talks Books, about her book on acting, which for young actors should be a must-read. This lady has a history and real craft....

Nothing wrong with it it’s based on real events kids need a wake up call not brainwashing n lies world will do that plenty to them already. Can’t shield them from reality forever may find they can actually handle it better than you did. I faced many frightening things alone spiritual n life events. The life events of murder abuse etc were still always more frightening. There’s being strict n there’s hovering parent placing kids in a bubble. Ie. Not sure how this would mess you up. But perhaps it is more suited for adults who can understand n process it better. The worst thing I ever watch as a kid was gore films my abusive older bro would force me to watch those at 4 years old by force I mean hold you fixed in place n threaten you harm if you closed your eyes to it. The second thing was a night to remember n third Blair witch project. Nothing affected me after those the same. I was already living in similar nightmares anyway. It was the norm.
N real life is always worse than a movie or show. Even if imagination is at play. As real life trauma imagination was scarier.

Great old show. Love the music. I believe we have mental powers we're not aware of yet. I think we could exchange thoughts if we practiced for a while. And I think we will be able to move objects around. But I don't think we can harm anyone strictly by thinking about it. People talk about someone putting a spell on you in voodoo but it only works if the subject believes in voodoo. Here, we see a woman with hateful thoughts all the time. Who knows how many times she has cursed her husband. But this time she curses him and he dies and she doesn't think about all the other times when she cursed him and he still lived. So it was a coincidence?

@@leeclark4495 I have the same problem Lee. My neighbor has a huge cherry tree that has it's roots and branches always in my yard. I've trimmed it numerous times at my expense. A few weeks ago, another smaller cherry tree of theirs, split at the trunk, and I had to pay someone to cut it up and haul it away. Not once has my neighbor offered to go half or show any concern at all, pretending it was my problem, not their's. Their leaves also clog up my gutters, just like what you have.

All the thick roots of their tree reside in my yard, and if it every comes down it will go right through my roof. I also heard if it does fall, I'm still responsible for it, and they will charge my home owner's insurance, not theirs. Right again you are, you must notify the moronic neighbor. Child withers n doesn’t flourish. Or workers doesn’t work as well. Etc. it’s a good message to remind those to be careful with their words around others. And even themselves.
