- To start off, I recommend updating to Firmware 1622 if you're currently on 1602 or lower.
Accidentally, the color temperature in SDR Game Mode got changed on Firmware 1602 to Standard vs Warm 2 for Firmware 1622. You will see the color color temperature difference in Game Mode SDR only in this video. I cannot re-film this as you cannot go back to a previous firmware version. My apologies.
In this video, we are comparing Firmware 1602 fully calibrated with service menu hacks on the Samsung S95B versus Firmware 1622 no calibration with all service menu hacks except for the 1,500 nit brightness mod (which got reset in the update). Both Firmware versions have the same picture settings in all the footage (minus the FW 1602 Game SDR change mentioned above). Only the SDR brightness setting changed in the update (minus the one service menu mod got reset - 1,500 nit mod), but it looks just as accurate and it appears that even without the 1,500 nit service menu hack, Firmware 1622 is brighter (I have to officially take measurements), appears to have better motion, the menu system is fully changed and runs much faster and smoother.
I have my picture settings here at the bottom of the description box.
