It would be super cool if the C64 core could open D64/T64/PRG files off a disk in the M65 internal drive, just like using an SDCARD. It would also be super nifty if that internal drive could be used like a 1581 and read/write native C64 file systems.
Perhaps I missed it, but why use the 3D CAD to make the biard outline? This is usually done in the PCB design software. I'm just wondering if theres some advantage to it? Thanks.
As a former Mechanical engineer, I can’t get comfortable with the board edge tools in PCB a layout software. For me, I find it easier to draw in a mechanical CAD package and DXF the outline into the PCB software. Again, this is my workflow and probably not for everyone!
@@jim_64s8-bitprojects5 Thanks for explaining. I was just curious. I use FreeCAD and have started to use KiCAD but not too proficient in it yet. I was using Eagle CAD several years ago.
Be nice if the Mega65 actually existed. Been over a year since I ordered mine. Trenz electronics is a scam site, and anyone who claims otherwise is a paid shill.
There are over 900 units delivered by Trenz Electronic to date. The problem is the supply chain challenges that are affecting the whole industry. If you want to cancel an order and get your money back, Trenz are always happy to do this.
Trenz is a real business and you can easily cancel your order and get your money back. You even can preorder a system without paying directly, but only when your system is ready to be shipped. I don't see where this is a SCAM, so please get your facts straight!
I was one of the lucky (or better: quickly ordered) who received their MEGA65 in batch 1. Big steps have been made since then, especially the cores as presented here as well. So as a learning for next time: order fast if you know on forehand there are supply issues, it saves a lot of waiting time. No need to complain, it’s not Trenz’ fault. Rest assured, you will receive a beautiful machine!
I had to wait over a year because I was to slow in ordering. For my Misterfpga I had to wait even longer because of the damn chip shortage. Because I got mine, use it and it is working as promised i can guarantee that the M65 is no scam. Why do you think of that? I know that the waiting is frustrating, but you as well knew that you will have to wait a long time before you get yours before you ordered it. If you are not that patient you can cancel your order and get your money back.
oooh TY for more llvm-mos. I'm not even a MEGA65 user, but I came here for the Rust 6502 goodness..
Very interesting and inspiring. Thank's for your presentations 🙂
Great event :) didn't get to join live, but watched after. Everyone did great, really enjoyed it.
Awesome presentation guys. Your passion for MEGA65 and your individual projects is inspiring.
Got a mister but damn need to get me a Mega65, guess I'll be waiting awhile!
Hello Guys, great work. Thank you all. More of this, please.
Had to view the second half of the presentations the next morning. Really nice event, thank you all for the great presentations!!
I can't wait to get mine. Especially with all the hard work everyone has done. It will be a much more mature product with R4 board.
excellent!!
very cool!

Support for the internal drive is on the ROADMAP github.com/MJoergen/C64MEGA65/blob/master/ROADMAP.md

Stell den SD2IEC an die Gerätsnummer 10 statt 8 und es soll dann sichtbar sein.

I guess I'm a paid shrill, whatever that is. I got mine a long time ago. Have you really been waiting legitimately a year? Yikes!
