Ken Block's 14y/o Daughter Gets Drift Lessons from Formula Drift Champ -Vaughn Gittin Jr.

- When we set out to build the Vanilla Ice inspired, drop top 5.0 Fox body Mustang, we had one major goal in mind - Teach my daughter Lia to drift with it. For her instructor, I enlisted the help of my friend and Formula Drift Champion, Vaughn Gittin Jr. As it turned out, Lia would get the FULL drift experience. Breaking parts, track side modifications, running out of fuel, and persevering through it all to finally nail the final trick. The Borla Exhaust completely changed the tune of this Fox and not surprisingly, the Toyo Tires we ran held up through the entire day!

@jereen moni islam It wasn't handed to Ken he earned his way in life and all of his success... He knew what he wanted out of life and went for it! The most successful men are men who pursue their passions... and that's exactly how Ken lived, and the fact that he passed those same passions on to his daughters is amazing! When your Dad is Ken Block, you dam well better get the best of the best training if you decide to take the same path in life... I absolutely love the fact that Ken got the chance to do this with Lea before his passing... God Speed Ken Block, you will be dearly missed by so many RIP legend...

@@caseym6272 drifting in itself is a very expensive sport/ hobby. But I think her attitude and determination can translate for my students to their activities, sports and passions.
And good connections that lead to opportunities..
I can't imagine how Ken is feeling.. these moments are priceless and could never be replicated, I hope he gets to see her live out this dream

I feel like the steering wheel needs to be aftermarket and fit her size. The handbrake is stupid close to that 1980 school bus wheel.

Its just where they have it located foxbodies have small steering wheels
She did a great job with the big stock steering wheel and when they swap it out with a new smaller one then she should do even better. It looked like she had a blast and I think that we will be seeing a lot more of her in the future.
The wheel has a air bag, only one that will work on a fox body. Seeing how it’s a practise car for a 14 year old , they will keep it

As a father of two, this got me in the feels.
I hereby state that my kids will not be able to drive on the road until they have done skid pan days and attended rally school.
Time to start saving some coin for the seat time.

@@satansnarwhal Lia's 14 so I'm sure there's a big difference between like a 15' 14' or even 13' wheel. And it looked big for her. I couldn't find any info on the stock wheel size from a quick search but I think she still needs a smaller wheel.

She gets a car, that is literally a DREAM for most car guys (and girls) that grew up in the 1980's/90's, and can't stand it. If you told me I could have only one of Ken's cars (and could not sell it), this car would probably be the one I would pick.
