- Today we went to Anglesea to detect a couple of beaches and we met up with Garath and James from the dukes of derbyshire. It was a great day out with plenty of sun and plenty of laughs.. The dukes even managed to find gold on the beach!

I missed it because I was beach detecting in South Wales. Must be tight barstewards down here as not one coin. Only one bottle cap so perhaps the beach was sanded in. Another cool hunt guys.

@@TheMetalDetectingChannel back on land I found a king george 2nd and 3rd coins but not much detail and then a silver florin and half crown. All firsts for me. I am enjoying being back in UK.

Those fishermen were casting way out into the water with those heavy sinkers/weights 😲 and oh my goodness, I've never seen lures that look like those that you found, and I fish. Just not in the big open waters like that ☺ Thank goodness there were some coins to be had but it sure wasn't a TMDC fail at all 🤗

What sort of permissions/permits would i need to detect a beach.
Gonna be visiting west wales in the summer and a mate has offered to lend me his detector for the week
Have a look on the crown estate website and if the beach is highlighted purple then your free to detect it :-) no permits or anything other than a detector:-) happy hunting matey
