Thank you for your reaction to Diana Ankudinova. Diana actually turned 17 on 31st May 2020, but was 14 at the time of this performance. The show she is on here is Ты супер! (translated as "You are Super") and it is for children who have found themselves without parental care at some point in life. According to the programme, Diana was abused by her biological mother until around the age of 3 years, and ended up in an orphanage. While there, a massage nurse named Irina Ponik - the lady with dark hair and glasses seen briefly in the video - took care of her, and a strong bond was formed, to the extent that a year afterward Diana was adopted by Irina, and Irina has been her "Mom" ever since. It seems that for the first year or so Diana would hardly speak, and singing lessons were recommended, and the rest is history. Diana is now with a loving family, and her music training goes from strength to strength. Since winning the show, she has received much support from Igor Krutoy - the bald guy on the judges panel - who is one of Russia's foremost composers and song writers. Krutoy also arranges and writes songs for Dimash, accompanying him on piano. She was 15 here , Russian prodigy, Angel 😇 she has a true Contralto Voice , her tone , voice control is epic ..she will be 18 in may,her childhood was tragic abuse, beaten and nearly killed by Her birth mother , found her on the street in the middle of winter with a broken shoulder at 4 years old taken to a orphanage and did not speak or not well , a wonderful women who worked there adopted her and sent her to singing lessons to help her with her speech, now everyone is speachless! A rare true Contralto who can also really yodel! She is a gem...Here she is only 14. There are a lot of commercial singers who can yodel (Jewel is a phenomenal yodeler), but it not a sellable quality. Most people just look at it as a trick.

Her great talent is in many ways genetic prodigy which is always mysterious to most of us. Also, she spent a great deal of her young life in the distant area of Siberia, and she seems to have absorbed the primitive, tribal, traditional culture there. She actually was adopted by a single lady when she was 6 years old. Her adoptive mom recognized her amazing talents, and when Diana was still very young, they moved to Moscow where she could begin serious performing and vocal training. She was busking in Moscow when she was 12 or so. Her talent could not be ignored, and now, as a teenager, she is becoming a superstar.
The words to describe her talent have not been invented yet - because she is absolutely unique! I am nearly 67 years old and I have always loved music BUT I have never heard or seen anybody capable of the kind of performances Diana can produce. This is a few years old now and some of her latest stuff already shows how much she has grown as an artist. I hope I live long enough to witness her full abilities. The lady in the video is her loving, adoptive mother. This talent show is for underprivileged but talented youth. As a result of her unique talent, Diana was further helped by Igor Krutoy (bald judge). Krutoy is a famous Russian composer who is Dimash’s patron/composer/pianist. As far as I heard, Diana took up singing when she was not even 5 y.o. on logopedic recommendations in order to overcome a speech impediment. Since then she not only sang solo and in duets but took part in many of the children's musicals. I can't say that she had any formal training in the art of acting but I guess it is one of her natural talents. BTW this year she has started her formal theatrical education at GITIS (in Moscow), probably the best school of the theatrical arts in Russia.

I came across her recently and in my 52 years of living and 48 years of hearing music and being an audiophile to the Nth degree, I have very little reference to go on regarding her. Diana is like Cher turned to 11!!! True contraltos are so rare. She is going to be a superstar if she isn't already. Just incredible. What is it your generation says? "Shooketh"? Yeah.. I'm that!!! Everyone talks about all the really obvious amazing things in this performance but, nobody mentions the fact that when she is yodeling and get picked up and put into the boat, her voice is not affected at all. There's no bobble, hitch, jiggle, break or anything. It's like she is still just standing still on the stage when she is actually being lifted, carried, set down. That is such amazing control.

If remembered correctly, she only likes singing songs that have a meaning for her. I guess that is why she can show what it is the song is conveying. To me, it does not matter that I don't understand the words because she helps one to feel the song with her vocal abilities and is truly entertaining.

I think the combination of her voice and the language itself makes her sound more interesting than Cher even if the vocal techniques aren't that alien. I'm fluent in English and Russian and to me it's not as exotic as someone singing in Mandarin combining opera and rock as an example. When she sings French I get more chills than when she sings in Russian. That's just me.

Everyone talks about all the really obvious amazing things in this performance but, nobody mentions the fact that when she is yodeling and get picked up and put into the boat, her voice is not affected at all. There's no bobble, hitch, jiggle, break or anything. It's like she is still just standing still on the stage when she is actually being lifted, carried, set down. That is such amazing control.
Another terrific reaction Schnell. Diana is certainly unique and I love her deep voice and it plays so well into her theatrical performance. I greatly look forward to your next reaction to Angelina Jordan as you are just 3 steps along on the most incredible musical journey of your life. I think the combination of her voice and the language itself makes her sound more interesting than Cher even if the vocal techniques aren't that alien. I'm fluent in English and Russian and to me it's not as exotic as someone singing in Mandarin combining opera and rock as an example. When she sings French I get more chills than when she sings in Russian. That's just me.

International Children's Vocal Competition “ You are super! Ты супер! "
Season 2 2018 (winner Diana Ankudinova)
Season 3 Super season: best of the best called back including Diana Ankudinova, won again.
It's an incredible show in which talented children without parental care have a chance to express themselves and demonstrate their vocal abilities to the whole country.
Over the years the project "You are super!" the show helped young stars to reveal their vocal talents and take their first steps into
a professional musical career. Some participants fulfilled their dream and found their long-awaited parents.
In the first two seasons, the project involved children from Russia and the CIS and Baltic countries
- Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Estonia and South Ossetia, as well as from Germany and Syria.
There are no chosen mentors, nor turning chairs, they only vote to decide who should go to the semifinal and final. (Sometimes early to reassure, also when they hear something unique,
sometimes when there is pause in the music, or they just watch and experience the performance and push late.)
So I got my ticket for this journey by subscribing, and happy to go with you on your journey exploring her talent.

diana had a really bad up bringin from her mother and was taken away and lives with a foster parents from wot ive read whilst she did this song she was 14 yrs old and went on to win the show she is a amazin singer also im lead to believe this song and the way she sings it is a gypsey song
