Wait to you watch and hear her at age 14 on a riverboat cruise ship giving an hour long performance highlighted with her amazing performance mostly in English of a 1920s cabaret song by the famous composer Irving Berlin called “ Puttin On The Ritz” . Not only does she kill it with her vocal electrifying expressions and dance moves but I will not spoil the SURPRISE
that will knock you off your chair ( a 12 second teaser she gives the audience that the late great Fred Astaire would be smiling down on her from heaven. ). If Diana wanted to she could easily become a world class.... ( I won’t spoil the 12 seconds)
Another when she was 13 she performed Me Voy” in Spanish and when I sent the video to my Spanish speaking friends they were in shock and disbelief. Her pronunciation was perfect and her interpretation was so emotionally impactful that all my friends were almost in tears. A must reaction.
And even further back at age 10 she killed a classic Beatles cover of “ Oh Darling” that remains to this day my favorite cover of this song.
For a newer rendition check her fan Club channel where a few days ago she performed “ by your voice ( the title is in Russian but it’s the one that’s 4:06 in duration) and she performed this same song about a year ago but she has vastly improved where she can not only thrill you with her dramatic contralto voice but she has added a layer of a high head register ( not falsetto) that lets her sustain those high notes and phrases.
Also when she won her “you are super” contest she performed a song written by Lara Fabian titled “ Tomorrow Is A Lie” accompanied on the piano by the famous composer Igor.
She sings it in English and the meaning of this song is so spiritual “ only here and now... Tomorrow is a Lie ( all that exists is the next moment).
You mention Eivor. Wow! Before anyone knew about her years ago I heard her singing and her chanting on the pharoe Islands was amazing. “ Falling Free” was mind blowing! But check out these two amazing renditions:

Diana just uploaded a video on her TH-cam channel a performance of "By your voice" thats the English translation. She in collaboration with Brandon Stone (producer/performer) released this about a year ago. He saw Diana on this show and stated he had to work with her. The video was taken at a competition very recently, Creative Slavic Arts Festival, Diana being one of the Russian contingent. Now 17 years old and has grown vocally even more. Its a dedication to Earth and homeland, also has tribal overtones. Thinking it shouldn't be hard to upload from her own channel and it's her original song.

FYI her loved ones in this song are her dead parents. They are not there to bless her on her wedding day. The river is the boundary to the world of the dead and she talks with her dead mother.

I also love Nordic and Slavic songs/music. Eivor is indeed wonderful. There are alot of other bands like Heilung, Skald, Danheim, Wardruna, Euzen, Faun, Hedningarna, Gjallarhorn etc. I would also recommend the Russian band Mlada, a mixture of folk and metal.

. „Rechenka“/ Little River
This is an old ritual song and this is the story: An orphan girl should/ wants to get married and goes to the little river (Rechenka), the border between the living and the dead, and asks her mother for the blessing (mother's whisper). The horses stand in the courtyard, the guests are gathered, the wedding celebration begins. In Russia it was customary to ask to cry at a wedding. That should chase away evil spirits and bring good luck.
You may have noticed that one of the judges was Igor Krutoy (who you know collaborates with Dimash). You are right, several of her songs have a tribal quality to them. So nice that you are very receptive to hearing singers from other genres besides metal (Dimash, Hua Hua, Diana, etc.).

Diana has something mysterious, mystical in her voice. She is a dramatic contralto, the rarest contralto-type. If Dimash is the universe, then Diana is the earth, our home... and when you hear her voice, you feel like, she's wrapped you in a warm velvet blanket and serving you a cup of hot, dark chocolate.
Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman, who gave her birth, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not want Diana either, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the girl with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Only then did she find love ... from Irina Ponik. She worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana and took her out of the orphanage. Irina had two children of her own. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for her... but she adopted Diana at the age of 5 and became, as I call it, Diana's 'real mother'. Diana has lived in a poor but loving family ever since. Since she was lagging in her speech development and even stuttered, she received singing lessons on the advice of a doctor.
In 2012, the family moved thousands of kilometers away, to Togliatti, because Diana did not let go of the fear, that the woman, who gave her birth, would take her away.
Diana's voice and sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a child and she won over 50 competitions in Togliatti and the surrounding area. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop, and Diana's stage costumes swallowed up the family budget. So, her mother completed a sewing course and has been sewing all the clothes herself since then.
One day Diana was advised to take part in competitions further away, so that the other children also had a chance to win.
Diana convinced with her talent and her voice in numerous national and international competitions, the Chinese competition for young artists and the competition.

To the general surprise, none of the judges turned around but the whole audience gave 'standing ovation'. The next day, a huge scandal broke out on the Internet. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition.
In 2018 and 2019, a unique international competition 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children, was launched in Moscow, which Diana won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to TH-cam and made Diana known worldwide. She now has any Millions of fans all over the world.
In the Kremlin Palace takes place the final of the international singing competition for children 'You are super!'. The winner of the season is determined by a 6-day viewer vote.
Igor Krutoi, mentor and jury member of the competition, gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow. So, she could continue her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskaya (videos on TH-cam).
The break of voice made her voice darker and deeper. She worked hard to get the lost high notes back and expand her vocal range. She likes to paint and draw, so much that we can be glad that she decided to sing… but have you noticed that she only holds a microphone in her right hand? The left-hand underlines and paint, what she is singing. Diana puts her whole soul into each song. That all makes her performances special and unique.
But she's not just a great singer, she's also a humble young woman, who loves her family and appreciates, what they sacrifice for her. She loves her fans (they are 'Friends' to her) and she is grateful, that they help to improve her home studio. On TH-cam she also regularly answers the many questions of her Friends. Her Russian fans chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title).
In her home studio, she is currently experimenting (Corona time) a lot with different music genres and performing on both large and small stages.
2020 Diana graduated from school and in September she has become a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts. She will study in the specialty "Variety Artist". She also wants to learn to compose and arrange her own songs.
By the way, most lyrics are very important, so that you understand, why Diana sings, how she sings. Привет из России!! Спасибо за реакцию! По сто раз слушаешь и как в первый раз!! Умопомрачительно!! Произведение само по себе очень красивое, спела эту песню Алла Пугачева в сое время! Но Диана его переделала душой и голосом!!! А это он принимала участи, и выиграла его, с российском шоу "Ты Супер!" в 2018-19.
После Дианы абсолютно не воспринимаю Пугачеву. А уж после "Реченьки" слушать не могу..
Пугачева -- талантливый человек, но она просто поет песню. А Диана живёт в песне, как Высоцкий.

I love the Russian language. This performance is full of discontinuous reverb, rapid changes in time and frankly is way too dramatic for my taste. Diana is a brilliant singer, this performance does not suit her. All over the map, a showy and too loud mini opera. The effects are atrocious. She is amazing, this arrangement sucks.

To give you the story in the song ... it's about an orphaned girl who is supposed to marry someone she doesn't love, so she goes down to the river (the border between the living and the dead), to talk to her mother and get her advice. The strange, rough whispery voice near the beginning is her mother asking why she isn't happy. And keep in mind, she did this a few years ago *at 14 y.o.!*

Wow, this performance is so intense and mind blowing. Diana (aka "Queen of Goosebumps") never disappoints. I think she was 14 years old during the performance. The woman you have mentioned is her adoptive mother indeed. I'm glad that Diana's carrier develops gradually. A couple of days ago she and Brandon Stone presented a nice song called "Side by side". The band Heilung has already conceptualized this type of performances: an amplified history. Google it! I strongly suppose if Diana could dig it through her future career, it would be so powerful for creating a new source for Russian soft power.. Diana could be the Medium for it, as many of Scandinavian experimental folk collectives. She is able to become Elvis Presley of this direction
